"I did not violate the law. Just because I firmly believe in "Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance," and refuse to give up practising Falun Dafa, they tortured me in a detention centre until I was disabled, making me so thin and weak. They did not allow my family to visit me during the first month. I went on hunger strike; then they force-fed me. They used four to five young men to hold down my legs, arms, and head, and they pinched my nose while they poured milk, which was saturated with salt, down my throat. They never cared whether my life was in danger or not." -
More Information on Ms. Ma Jingfang, a Beijing Practitioner Who Was Persecuted to Death
2005-04-14Ms. Ma Jingfang died as a result of persecution. In 2002 she was unjustly imprisoned in a labour camp in Beijing, where guards forced practitioners to get up early every morning to knit woollen jumpers. Practitioners there were routinely forced to work through the night without rest. Enduring these conditions, Ms. Ma Jingfang developed acute heart disease. Although she was released she never recovered. She was arrested again and sentenced to a labour camp for a second time, but it refused to admit Ms. Ma Jingfang because of her severe heart problems. In early March 2005, Ms. Ma Jingfang died. -
Heilongjiang Province College Lecturer Dies from Persecution in Prison
2005-04-13Falun Gong practitioner Wei Xiaodong, not yet 34 years old, formerly lectured in the School of Engineering at a University in Heilongjiang Province. Mr. Wei contracted tuberculosis due to the harsh conditions in a forced labour camp. He grew thin and weak, and lost almost all of his hair. He was later transferred to a prison. On March 21, 2005, Mr. Wei died. Before his wife was even informed of his death, family members had his body cremated. Mr. Wei's wife also practises Falun Gong and is being detained and persecuted in Harbin. -
Jilin Prison Persecuted Changchun Practitioner Liu Jingxin, Leaving Him With a Debilitated Body and Lifeless Eyes
2005-04-13Mr. Liu Jingxin, 32, has been detained since March 2002 for no reason except that he practises Falun Dafa. Even without enough evidence to sentence him he was sent to Jilin Prison to serve a three and a half year term. His relatives who visited him remarked that he looked like a different person. He was extremely weak, with lifeless eyes. He looked pale and skinny, unable to move his left arm. they learned that the prison pressured him mentally and tortured him physically for twelve straight days, in order to force him to renounce Falun Dafa. -
Seven Older Falun Gong Practitioners Die as a Result of Persecution
2005-04-1393 year old Ms. Jia Yinjie, from Hebei Province, began Falun Dafa cultivation practice in 1996. Subsequently, many of the diseases she suffered from disappeared. After July 20, 1999, when the persecution began, the authorities searched her daughter's house, where she lived. Later her daughter was detained after going to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. In jail, her daughter suffered inhuman torture, and this also caused Ms. Jia immense suffering. Due to pressure from this persecution, Ms. Jia could no longer continue the practice. She worried for a long time and passed away on October 31, 2001. -
Masanjia Forced Labour Camp Makes Huge Profits Using Slave Labour to Produce Harmful Products
2005-04-13Masanjia Forced Labour Camp forces Falun Dafa practitioners to make money for them. Practitioners must make a large number of cardboard boxes, handling glue for a long time. Some people's eyes were irritated and watering, and the skin of their fingers split. Young practitioners are forced to make clothes and many handicrafts, including bracelets, necklaces, hair ornaments, and artificial flowers. Older women are forced to make "hygienic cotton swabs." -
Professor An Fentian from Beijing University of Chemical Technology Died as a Result of Torture - His Wife Sentenced to Prison
2005-04-12Falun Gong practitioner Professor An Fentian, a professor at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and his wife Chen Haifeng, were often detained and persecuted for practising Falun Dafa. He suffered tremendously during the brutal persecution. An Fentian passed away on October 16, 2004. His wife was abducted and sentenced to prison many times. She is currently in detention. -
Unable to Bear the Persecution, A Practitioner's Husband Takes His Own Life
2005-04-12In 2002, Falun Gong practitioner Ms Zhang Min from Weifang City, Shandong Province was reported to the authorities when she was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. She escaped, but her husband Chu Zhiming, a non-practitioner, was taken away by police. Because of the torment he suffered while in detention, he became mentally disoriented. As a result he took poison to commit suicide. In order to avoid further persecution, Zhang Min left home and is currently still homeless. -
Acts Committed by the Police from the Heilongjiang Province Rehabilitation Centre
2005-04-12In October 2002, police officers ordered three criminal inmates to beat Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Jiang Rongzhen, who was locked inside a small cell, because she refused to be "transformed". After they beat Ms. Jiang to within an inch of her life, they pulled her from the room and tried to force her to write a statement to renounce Falun Dafa. Ms. Jiang had already been knocked unconscious, but the three inmates claimed that she was pretending and continued to beat her until she died. This was how Ms. Jiang Rongzhen was beaten to death. -
Information on Five Dafa Practitioners Who Died as a Result of the Persecution
2005-04-12Ms. Zheng Chengkui was 80 and lived in Hunan Province. She was arrested in 2002 for handing out leaflets exposing the persecution. The police raided her home, confiscated her personal property, and detained her for three months. The police continued harassing Ms. Zheng after her release. The authorities also ordered her children to confine their mother at home and force her to take unnecessary medicines. Ms. Zheng Chengkui passed away in May 2004, as a result of the relentless persecution. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. An Fenghua from Heilongjiang Province Was Tortured to Death in December 2004
2005-04-1147 year old Ms. An Fenghua went to Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Dafa, and was arrested, detained, and sentenced to forced labour both times. She had to squat down on the floor so that she could be handcuffed to the basement's metal fence for at least several hours at a time, and sometimes even several days. An Fenghua was tortured until she became paralysed and blind. She contracted TB, and died on December 21, 2004 in the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Centre. -
64 Year Old Ms. Zhang Lanhua from Hebei Province Died from Persecution-Related Illnesses in August 2004
2005-04-11Ms. Zhang Lanhua was 64 years old. In November 2000, police ransacked her home without a search warrant, confiscated her belongings and detained her. They viciously assaulted Ms. Zhang Lanhua during her detention, shocking her with electric batons, a brutal torture which blistered her mouth. After Ms. Zhang returned home, her health was consistently bad and village officials frequently came to her house to harass her. On August 16, 2004, Ms. Zhang Lanhua passed away. -
Twelve Falun Gong Practitioners Who Were Persecuted to Death
2005-04-11Nine out of twelve Falun Dafa practitioners who were persecuted to death were over 50 years old. Most of those were in their 60's and even one was 80 years old. Seven of these elderly people were ladies. How could the Chinese authorities consider these harmless, elderly people, who were only trying to live by the principles of Truthfulness - Compassion - Tolerance, a threat to social stability? In looking at the true situation, it makes this persecution all the more senseless and heartbreaking. -
Parents Illegally Detained in Forced Labour Camp, 10-Year-Old Son Left Unattended
2005-04-11Recently, Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Luo Yulin and Ms. Meng Qingwen, a married couple from Shandong Province, were detained in forced labour camps for the second time. The first time they were abducted by police, their son was only 6 years old. Last December police again arrested the couple, leaving their now 10 year old son in tears and once again deprived of his family. -
57 Year Old Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Chen Huixuan Tortured to Death
2005-04-10Ms. Cheng Huixuan was 57 years old. She firmly cultivated Falun Dafa and was arrested by the police many times. She was abducted and sentenced to three years forced labour at the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp. In the camp, Ms. Chen was tortured with the "big hang up" and beatings, denied sleep, and forced to perform heavy labour for over ten hours daily. When her whole body was swollen and symptoms of severe diabetes appeared, she was released back home. Her condition continued to deteriorate, and she died at 5 a.m. on March 21, 2005.
