Ms. Liu Li from Shuanghe Town, Jilin Province Held for More Than 9 Months

Jiang Zemin launched a persecution against Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, and used the state media to slander Dafa. Based on her own experience, Ms. Liu Li explained the wonders of Dafa and the facts of the persecution to people. Police suddenly broke into Ms. Liu's home at noon on February 28th, 2006, and ransacked it. The police head beat Liu Li until her head bled and she lost consciousness and then savagely beat her at the police station. She is now held at Jilin City Detention Centre. The guards told her husband that they would release her if he paid them 20,000 yuan, which he did. Nine months later, her ill husband is still waiting for his wife to come home. -
After Her Husband and Son Died, Lu Peilan, 78, from Shandong Province Also Died as a Result of Persecution
2006-12-23Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Lu Peilan, 78, was persecuted for many years because of her faith in Falun Dafa. The Village CCP Secretary forced Ms. Lu to write a "guarantee letter" to stop studying and practising Falun Gong. Because Ms. Lu was illiterate, they wrote the letter for her and then forced her to press her fingerprint onto it. Three practitioners in her family, plus his six- or seven-year-old granddaughter, were all confined in the house. Later her husband and son died because of the pressure from the police. Ms. Lu Peilan also died on October 22nd, 2006. -
Practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiumei is Violently Brainwashed at the Lanzhou Women's Prison in Gansu Province
2006-12-22Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiumei was sentenced to four years in prison in 2001 for persisting in her belief. She is still held at the Jiuzhou Development Zone Prison in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. The guards coerced her to write a guarantee statement to renounce Falun Dafa and frequently brainwashed her, shocked her with electric batons, and beat her. -
Non-Practitioner Witnessing Six Days of Brainwashing Sessions
2006-12-22Two years ago, I heard from a friend, a policeman involved in the persecution of Falun Gong, about how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. Before that, I had only heard about Falun Gong and the crackdown from the CCP-controlled television media, but I did not know any details. After listening to my friend, however, I understood how brutally the persecution was conducted and how the CCP and its followers had done such a thing to destroy people's humanity. -
Elderly Mr. Cheng Huazheng from Anshun City, Guizhou Province Repeatedly Arrested
2006-12-2264-year-old Cheng Huazheng had only recently been released from the notorious Zhongba Forced Labour Camp after having been imprisoned for three years. While he was imprisoned, he was frequently deprived of sleep for as long as two weeks and frequently and mercilessly beaten for several hours at a time. He suffered multiple bone fractures and internal injuries from the savage beatings. Mr. Cheng was tormented until he came close to a mental breakdown, and to this day, he is often disoriented. -
Details of Five Missing Falun Dafa Practitioners from Beijing City, Liaoning Province, and Hunan Province
2006-12-22Ms. Bao Cuiyuan, in her sixties, worked for the Science Institute of China. Ms. Bao has been arrested three times since the start of the persecution in 1999 and released on bail. She disappeared in November 2005 and was suspected to have been arrested again. We call on anyone who knows about her disappearance to please report any information. -
Former Division Manager in A Bank, Mr. Chen Guanghui, Dies at 40 After Being Comatose for Over Two Years Due to Persecution at the Suzhou Jail in Jiangsu Province
2006-12-21In front of the Suzhou No. 100 Hospital, Jiangsu Province people often saw a skinny and grey-haired older lady lamenting that her son Mr. Chen Guanghui was persecuted to death. At the time, her son was dying in the hospital. His body was swollen beyond recognition due to oedema. The hospital diagnosed him as terminally ill and informed the prison authorities. Prison staff ordered the hospital staff to keep this information secret from the family. Mr. Chen's family asked that he be transferred to another hospital or released so they could bring him home. Prison authorities said, "He can only die in prison." 40-year-old Mr. Chen Guanghui died on December 12th, 2006. -
Ms. Tong Chunshi, 57, from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province Dies Following Torture at the Longshan Forced Labour Camp
2006-12-21Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Tong Chunshi was arrested in 2001 by officers from the Baiqing Police Station in Sujiatun. She was sentenced to three years of forced labour and held at Longshan Forced Labour Camp. Her abusers held her in a "chill room," shocked her with electric batons, hung her by her handcuffs, deprived her of sleep, and forced her to squat for forty days. The guards also beat and kicked her and made her do slave labour. She suffered a relapse of aesophageal cancer in 2004 and could not eat. She went home extremely weak and died on September 5th, 2006, at the age of 57. -
Hong Kong Resident Ms. Zeng Aihua's Family Deceived by Shanghai 610 Office
2006-12-21On December 8th, 2006, after enquiring through many departments about Hong Kong Dafa practitioner Zeng Aihua's situation and whereabouts, and after being misled for over a month, her family was shocked to finally learn that her case had already been brought to public prosecution on November 1st, 2006. The Public Security Bureau, as well as the Procuratorate, deceived the family and the lawyer of Zeng Aihua, as they kept telling the family and lawyer that the case was still in its investigation period, and no further decision had been made. They obstructed the efforts of the lawyer who lost precious time in making a thorough investigation and preparations for the case. The Shanghai 610 Office is attempting to bring Zeng Aihua to a trial in the near future. -
After Losing 3 Members, Mr. Wang Xiaofeng's Family Continues to Be Harassed by Shijiang City Police for Many Years

Shijiazhuang City resident Mr. Wang Xiaofeng and his family all practise Falun Dafa. They have been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. In less than an 18 month period, Mr. Wang lost three family members. His 34-year-old wife (pictured), his brother-in-law and his father-in-law were all tortured to death. At the time of his wife's death, his son, Tianxing, was just over one year old. -
Overview of the Persecution During the Past Seven Years in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province
2006-12-21Dafa practitioner Chen Yunchuan's family was from Canfangying Village, Beixinbao Township. All five people in his family cultivated Falun Dafa diligently. After July 20th, 1999, their whole family went to Beijing to appeal. They were arrested by police from the Tiananmen Police Station. Chen Yunchuan's oldest son Chen Aizhong, youngest son Chen Aili, and daughter Chen Hongping were all tortured to death. His wife passed away while they were homeless. His oldest daughter Chen Shulan is married and lives in Yanqing County. She practises Dafa and was arrested and held in the local prison there. -
Ms. Cao Aihua Tortured to Death in Xinjiang Women's Forced Labour Camp
2006-12-20Ms. Cao Aihua, a Falun Dafa practitioner, was arrested in August 2006 when she wrote messages to promote quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on paper money. In the middle of November, Ms. Cao was sent to the Urumqi Women's Forced Labour Camp. This was the third time Ms. Cao had been put into a forced labour camp. She died within a week as a result of torture. -
Ms. Zhang Yunzhi from Qiqihar City Dies from Brutal Beatings
2006-12-20Ms. Zhang Yunzhi, was a 51-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner. She began to practise Falun Dafa in October 1998 and actively participated in doing things that spoke out for justice for Falun Dafa, including going to Beijing to appeal. Ms. Zhang was arrested five times since 2000. The first four times she was arrested, she was detained in Nianzishan District Detention Centre. However, the last time she was arrested she was beaten until she nearly died. Her entire body became swollen and her legs oozed fluid as a result of the extreme and merciless beatings. Eventually she died on October 2nd, 2006 from severe damage to her internal organs from the beatings. -
Mr. Yang Fengbin Tortured to Death in 2004
2006-12-20Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Fengbin, 58, was a stone carver, had a very healthy body, and was well-known in the village for his kindness. In 2004, Mr. Yang was arrested by policemen from the Dongcun Town Department without reason. The police beat him cruelly and tortured him. He was tortured to death in only four days. Policemen notified his family and lied, saying that Mr. Yang committed suicide by jumping off the building. His family doesn't have any place to voice their grievances. -
Peasant Detained for Trying to be a Good Person, Mother and Mother-In-Law Die in Suffering
2006-12-20In autumn 2000, someone from the Political and Legal Party Committee of the county government came to ask me what I thought of Falun Gong. I replied that I regained my health after only ten days of practice. A few days later, I was arrested and taken to the detention centre again and sent to the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp two days later. The camp wardens forced me and other practitioners to write letters renouncing Dafa and to attend brainwashing classes. My 80-year-old mother-in-law's health declined due to fear because of my arrests. She soon passed away. My 86-year-old mother also could not see me one last time before she passed away.
