Five Falun Dafa Practitioners Persecuted to Death in the City of Tianjin, and in Hunan, Sichuan and Shandong Provinces

They were arrested by police at the train station and were sent to a detention centre. In a damp and chilly jail, they were treated inhumanely, suffering from all kinds of threats, intimidation, force feeding and other forms of torture and persecution. Thus Zhang developed the symptom of a recurring cough. Her family spent 5000 yuan to bail her out and await trial. They forced her to stop practising the Falun Dafa exercises and to not read the Falun Dafa books, and her cough became worse and worse. She went to the hospital for a checkup and the diagnosis was lung cancer. The hospital promised her family that her sickness could be cured, but after 9 months Zhang Xioyin passed away. -
Thirty-Year-Old Mr. Wu Chunlong Tortured to Death in the Jiamusi Labour Camp (Photos)
2005-08-27Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wu Chunlong was tortured in the Jiamusi City Labour Camp until he was near death. He was completely emaciated, was unable to think clearly, and could not speak when he was sent home on April 30th 2005. His condition gradually improved with the care of his family, but police had him under close monitoring. They constantly threatened and harassed Mr. Wu Chunlong, and he died on August 20th 2005, only 30 years old. -
Sun Shaomin Has Been on Hunger Strike for More Than 110 Days at Hulan Prison - His Life is in Great Danger
2005-08-27Dafa practitioner Mr. Sun Shaomin from Wuchang City is being held at Hulan Prison, and has been on a hunger strike for more than 110 days. He has been subjected to brutal persecution while holding the hunger strike, and his life is in great danger. During the hunger strike his persecutors have used handcuffs to secure him while they held him down and force-fed him. A doctor told the prison supervisor and a team leader, "Because the heart is so close to the oesophagus, you can't force-feed him anymore. If you try to insert the feeding tube again, it could easily pierce the oesophagus and penetrate the heart." -
UN Investigates Torture Suffered by Professor Wu Xiaohua
2005-08-27The case of Professor Wu Xiaohua has been taken on by the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (the UN Working Group). Professor Wu was one of victims whom the Working Group sought to interview during its visit to China last September. However, the People's Republic of China (PRC) rebuffed all attempts, did not provide information regarding her situation at that time, or allow contact between the UN Working Group and Ms. Wu. The Working Group concluded that " (Wu Xiaohua was) prosecuted and sentenced to the administrative measure of re-education through labour, and therefore deprived of liberty, mainly for exercising fundamental rights..." -
Dafa Practitioners Beaten At Wafangdian Prison, Authorities Cover up Their Crimes
2005-08-27We learned in early 2005 that many Falun Dafa practitioners detained at Wafangdian Prison in Dalian City, Liaoning Province were severely tortured. During detention, they were constantly beaten by guards and inmates. Practitioners filed a lawsuit against prison officials. Regarding the issue of Falun Gong practitioners being tied up on a death bed, beaten and not allowed to use the toilet, the deputy director of the Discipline Committee in Wafangdian Prison, Wang Tao, claimed: "It is not a 'death bed', it is a 'multi-function bed' used for isolating infectious patients. It is commonly used in prisons." -
50-Year-Old Practitioner Mr. Wang Dianren from Jilin Province Tortured to Death
2005-08-26After having been sentenced to three years in prison, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Dianren was transferred to Sipingshiling Prison in Jilin Province on August 9th 2005. The guards repeatedly beat him. Once a guard Mr. Liu Jian kicked Wang Dianren hard in his stomach after he shouted out, "Falun Dafa (or Falun Gong) is good." The kick severely injured Mr. Wang's spleen. The intense pain caused him to collapse and pass out. He never recovered from the internal injury. He died as a result of torture on August 15th 2005. -
Primary School Teacher Ms. Deng Shangyuan Dies as a Result of Persecution
2005-08-26Ms. Deng Shangyuan was a teacher employed at a primary school located in Baoxing Town, Sichuan Province. She had been detained and mistreated many times during the persecution, and had been closely monitored and harassed constantly by lawless officials. In March 2005, policemen stormed into her home in the middle of the night and ransacked it, causing her to be unable to sleep at all. She became very thin, and died on July 25th 2005. -
After Suffering Interrogation and Torture, Cai Fuchen and Others Have Been Sentenced to Prison
2005-08-26On May 26th 2005, Cai Yuchen and five other practitioners were apprehended from a site producing leaflets exposing the persecution. Authorities confiscated more than 100,000 yuan in cash and equipment, and even seized all of their daily necessities. The six practitioners were then detained at the Yanji City detention centre for 15 months. During their detention, police brutally tortured them numerous times in order to force them to make confessions. On the evening of his arrest, Cai Fuchen was beaten and severely wounded. He could not walk after the beating. The other five were all wounded to various degrees. Yanji City Court recently sentenced Cai Fuchen to 10 years imprisonment. -
Daqing Prison Refuses to Release Practitioner Bu Fanwei and Claims, "His Death is Inevitable, Even If He is Bailed Out"
2005-08-26Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Bu Fanwei, currently detained in Daqing Prison, has lost his basic abilities to sustain life and is at the brink of death. He is on life support with sodium and potassium injections. His family asked to have him released on bail for medical treatment but the request was denied. Deputy Prison Director Jiang Shuchen said, "His death is inevitable, even if he is bailed out." Practitioners detained may die at any moment due to the persecution or be injured or become disabled as a result of abuse and torture. In a short three-month period, three practitioners have died because of the persecution. -

Little Benny Wants His Dad Back Home (Photo)
2005-08-25In March 2005, the German government rejected the political asylum application for Jiang Renzheng, his wife, his son, Benny and his other son. They were deported to China and returned to Jiang Renzheng's hometown, Benxi. The family's tragedy followed. On April 8th when Benny and his younger brother were playing at their grandparents' home in Shenyang, seven people came in and arrested his dad. Upon seeing dad arrested, Benny followed and ran to the doorway. He became terribly frightened and cried. Since then, he often cries and calls for his dad. He can't say complete words, but he calls for his dad often. -
The Tortures I Suffered at Jiuzhan Police Station in Jilin City
2005-08-25"On June 3rd 2005, policeman Yang Mingyu and a woman came to my apartment with the intent of taking me to the Jiuzhan Police Station. While I was answering his questions, Yang suddenly slapped my face. At that moment I was lost. After a while, I realised what he was doing and asked him, "Why do you, a policeman, hit people at will? Yang searched for the key to my apartment and demanded that I give it to him. I refused. Next, they ransacked my room and confiscated all the Falun Dafa books I had there. Five or six policemen came in at this point and began to beat me. They kicked and hit me, and then punched my face while grabbing my hair. They forcefully took me to the police station, where they continued to brutally torture me." -
Ms. Zhu Xiyu Displays Banners and Demonstrates Falun Gong Exercises at Jindalai Square in Jilin Province for the Past Two Years
2005-08-25Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhu Xiyu has been displaying a banner reading "Falun Dafa is Good" and demonstrating the Falun Gong exercises for the last two years at the Jindalai (Korean Rhododendron) Square in Yanji City (an Ethnic Korean Autonomous Region), Jilin Province. She has been arrested six times and imprisoned for more than one year, but she has never given up her appeals. Just in the last two months, she was arrested three times. -
Persecution Intensified as Hundreds of Practitioners at the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp Declare Their Resolve to Continue Practising Falun Gong
2005-08-24The Masanjia Forced Labour Camp is a concentration camp used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. The guards there randomly bring steadfast practitioners into small wards and brutally torture them, using methods including: fierce beatings, handcuffing practitioners to metal chairs for 24 hours, leaving the windows open in freezing winter temperatures which causes injury and disability, putting high-volume loudspeakers beside practitioner's ears, sleep deprivation, and not allowing practitioners to use the toilet more than 2 or 3 times per day. -
Details of How Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Hongde Was Persecuted to Death
2005-08-24Due to mental pressure Wang Hongde's situation in Daqing City's Hongweixing Prison worsened each day. He had a hard time breathing, and had whole-body oedema. Mr. Wang was at the brink of death as a result of being tortured in prison. He was eventually sent to hospital in heavy handcuffs and shackles. However, due to the abrupt cessation of treatment, several recurrences of the illness, and not getting immediate treatment, he lost his chance to be treated and died on May 14th 2005.
