Elderly Ms. Shen Chengxin from Jilin Province Persecuted To Death

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Shen Chengxin was 66 years old. In 2000, police detained her in a brainwashing centre because she had participated in group study of the teachings of Falun Dafa. In 2003, whilst walking on the street police searched her handbag and discovered Falun Gong-related materials. She was sentenced to forced labour. Because the police constantly persecuted and harassed her, all of Ms. Shen's family's savings were exhausted, and her body and mind were devastated. She was forced to scrape out a living by cultivating some unused land in the mountains. On June 15th, 2005, Ms. Shen Chengxin suddenly lost consciousness and died. -
Practitioner Yang Zhanjiu Disabled from Persecution at Shilingzi Prison in Siping City
2006-08-23Mr. Yang Zhanjiu, a Falun Dafa practitioner detained in Shilingzi Prison is now disabled from the tortures. The bones in his heels were smashed and he was sent to a hospital for treatment. In order to shift the responsibility, the prison repeatedly told Mr. Yang's family members that they would release Yang Zhanjiu right after his recovery from the operation. However, he was sent back to the prison again. The bones in Yang Zhanjiu’s heels were removed. The nerves in his legs are dead. As a result, he can’t walk, nor can he take care of himself. His family members requested many times that he be released on bail to get medical treatment. The prison, however, refuses without reason. -
Beijing Falun Gong Practitioners Call for the Rescue of Cao Dong and Niu Jinping
2006-08-22We are Falun Gong practitioners and friends of Mr. Cao Dong and Mr. Niu Jinping. Cao Dong went missing after he met with the Vice President of the European Parliament, Mr. Edward McMillan-Scott. His family members are terribly worried for his safety. Many of us have had similar experiences. Suddenly, one day our relatives disappeared and no one knew where they were. After a long time, we learned that they were imprisoned somewhere, or perhaps even something worse happened to them. -
Older Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liang Shufan Passed Away Due to the Persecution
2006-08-22Ms. Liang Shufan, 59 years old, went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong, and was arrested. She was tortured twice in a brainwashing centre and had one thousand yuan extorted from her. In November 2000, Ms. Liang Shufan went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa again. Policemen beat her in Beijing, broke her nose, knocked out two of her front teeth, and took her back to be detained for more than a month in the Jilin City Detention Centre. She was then sentenced to three years of forced labour, but she was released because of her high blood pressure (230 mm). Because of her long-term mistreatment under the persecution, Ms. Liang was under huge mental pressure. She was often harassed by police. In May 2005 she had a stroke. Ms. Liang Shufan died in November 2005, after police had harassed her twice during that time period. -
Ganjingzi District Court in Dalian City, Liaoning Province Plans Show-Trial for Mr. Xue Xinkai and His Mother
2006-08-22According to an accurate source, Ganjingzi District Court of Dalian City, Liaoning Province, recently made plans to bring Dafa practitioners Mr. Xue Xinkai and his mother Sun Shuyun to trial at 9:00 a.m. on July 18th, 2006. This source disclosed that all arrested Falun Gong practitioners are given so-called "court hearings," but it is well known that these hearings are only superficial. The prison terms given to Falun Gong practitioners have been already decided, but simply not yet announced at the time of the hearing, so in reality the judge merely plays out the procedure. So long as a hearing is held, the judge's duty is completed. -
Qingqing Hopes Her Mother and Uncle Will Return Soon
2006-08-22My uncle (my mum's brother) and mum were arrested and have been held by the Chinese Communist Party for more than five months. My grandma and granddad take care of me now. Do you know how my uncle and mother were arrested? The police handcuffed them while they were at work, then they ransacked our whole house. I can't see my mother or uncle at all now. Later on I heard my mum yelling down the staircase, "Why are you arresting me? Release me!" Four people carried her down the stairs. When they reached the first floor, they dropped her. Then they carried her outside. My eyes were full of tears that started to quickly fall. I kept calling, "Mum, Mum!" -
A Fourteen-year-old Practitioner's Difficult Life
2006-08-22This year, I am fourteen years old. I have practised Falun Gong for nine years. It was through practising Falun Gong that I obtained a healthy body. After the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, the police persecuted my family and broke us apart. My mother and aunt were not only detained, but also sent to a forced labour camp for one year. Facing the brutal fact of my mother's year in forced labour, I felt that the sky had collapsed. Every minute and every second I longed for mother's return. Every night I went to sleep with tears in my eyes. Mother told me that while at the forced labour camp, the brutality had taken a toll on her body both spiritually and mentally. Every day she was subjected to hard labour for seventeen to eighteen hours. She witnessed fellow practitioners enduring electric shock torture, their faces disfigured by the charring from the constant electric baton shocks. -

2006-08-21Ms. Liu Yumin's husband Mr. Wu Yanshui died on May 20th, 2001 as a result of persecution. Immediately after his death, authorities from the Laishui county government demolished her house to widen the street. With the house demolished, Ms. Liu Yumin and her two young children became homeless, having to go from one place to another. During these desperate times, police hunted for Ms. Liu and her two children everywhere. One night in 2002, the police climbed the wall, crossed the courtyard, pried a window open and broke into the temporary housing of Ms. Liu and the children. Ms. Liu Yumin didn't even have time to put on her shoes when the police broke in and arrested her. Her little girl wailed and screamed in protest, but the police grabbed her and shouted, "If you scream one more time, we will take you too!" -
Exposing Crimes at the Lanzhou Women's Jail in Gansu Province
2006-08-21On April 27th, 2006,, the ward incited two inmates to beat Dafa practitioner Ms. Lei Zhanxiang and deprived her of sleep for three days and nights. They also forced her to watch the brainwashing recordings. Ms. Lei's face became extremely swollen from the beatings, to the point of drooping down nearly to her shoulders. In addition, her eyes were very red. During a medical examination, she was diagnosed with high blood pressure and a heart problem. In spite of this, the jail forced her to take several unknown medicines. As a result, her stomach ached severely. -
Supplemental Information Regarding the Persecution-Caused Death of Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Li Yutong in Jilin Province
2006-08-21Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Yutong died on November 6th, 2003, as a result of tortures he suffered at the Yinmahe Labour Camp. Li Yutong was arrested, sent to labour camp(s), and tortured many times for his belief in Dafa. It was learned that Li Yutong was force-fed a large quantity of a toxic fluid before his death. Therefore, he was murdered. The labour camp saw that he was dying and told the family to take him home. He was diagnosed with kidney failure and passed away. His daughter was still held at the labour camp at the time of his death, a few days' short of the expiration of her term. The labour camp officials nevertheless refused to let her see her father for the last time. -
Malicious Police Break the Law and Abuse Human Rights
2006-08-21On June 14th, 2006, Zhang Pengfei, an official with the Fengning County State Security Department 610 Office in Hebei Province, along with more than ten policemen from the Heishanzui County Police Station, broke into the home of Ms. Deng Guilan, a Beizhouying Falun Dafa practitioner. They confiscated her Falun Dafa books and leaflets exposing the persecution. They then invaded another practitioner's home in the same village and did the same thing. -
Persecution Facts of a Farmer in Shandong Province
2006-08-21From August to September of 2000, Mr. Sun was tortured when he was arrested for printing and delivering Falun Gong materials. In the Weibei Prison Factory, the political instructor forced Mr. Sun to sit on the ground with his hands backwards and his legs straight. Two guards stepped on Mr. Sun's legs, which caused his legs to be covered in dark bruises. They also forced Mr. Sun Zhitian to take part in line training. An inmate suddenly pushed him from behind many times, which caused Mr. Sun extreme pain in his legs. Guards also ordered the head of prisoners in the wool section to open the door and then forced Mr. Sun to stand by the door to freeze. This lasted over ten days. -
A Falun Dafa Practitioner from Jiamusi City Recounts the Persecution She Suffered
2006-08-20When I was in the forced labour camp, because I refused to renounce Dafa, I was handcuffed behind my back twice. Police used high voltage electric batons to shock me and at the same time beat and kicked me. They also pulled my hair. The brutal handcuffing behind my back torture severely injured my arms. It took over a year for my right arm to heal. My left arm was even more injured. In the evenings it hurt so much that I could not fall asleep or turn. I could only rely on the practitioner next to me to help me to turn over during the night. -
The Persecution of 69-Year-Old Ms. Hui Ruiying
2006-08-20Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Hui Ruiying, 69 years old, was arrested several times for appealing for Falun Dafa and speaking to people about the facts of Falun Dafa. She was arrested in September 2004 while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. She was taken to the Anqiu Detention Centre and held there for 27 days. While incarcerated, the police ransacked Ms. Hui's home. She was tortured at the detention centre until she suffered a heart attack. Agents from the 610 Office were afraid she might die. They extorted 10,000 yuan from her family before letting her go home. -
Exposing the Persecution of Dafa Practitioners in Baotou Detention Centre
2006-08-20Wardens at the Baotou Detention Centre of Inner Mongolia have brutally persecuted Dafa practitioners for a long time. The persecution methods include force feeding, handcuffing behind the back, tying practitioners’ hands and feet with steel chains so that they can hardly walk, thus making it extremely difficult to use the restroom, etc. Many Dafa practitioners were persecuted to the point of becoming disabled and couldn’t even take care of themselves in their daily lives.
