Two Women Brutally Beaten in Broad Daylight by Police from Foshang City, Guangdong Province

Around 10:00 a.m. on November 9th, 2007, Ms. Wen Yanling and Ms. Zhong Peiling went to the family home of Lin Bincheng, the former head of the 610 Office in Heshun Town, to give them leaflets explaining the truth about Falun Gong so that the Chinese people could understand the unreasonable persecution and what Falun Gong is really about. Lin's mother was the only person at home. She called the police. Lin Bincheng and a plainclothes police officer soon arrived and rushed into the house. Lin grabbed Ms. Wen Yanling by the hair and brutally punched and kicked her. He then turned around and beat Ms. Zhong Peiling as well. Lin and his partner brutally beat these two ladies for more than half an hour, until they could hardly breathe. Later, a few more officers came and put the two women in a police car and took them to Heshun Police Station. -
Father and Son Arrested after Police Besiege their Home for Four Days in Anqui City, Shandong Province
2007-12-30On November 2nd, 2007, a dozen officers from Anqiu City "Anti-Cult" Division Armed Force Bureau, went to Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xu Jingping's home to arrest him. Mr. Xu and his son were at home but refused to open the door. For rour days the police continually pounded on the door until they finally broke it and arrested them. Mr. Xu's family went to the office of the Armed Force Bureau and demanded their release. The officers claimed that they had not arrested them, even denied ever seeing them. -
Acheng District Court in Harbin City Holds a Secret Trial for Mr. Huang Tiebo
2007-12-29Mr. Huang Fujun and Mr. Huang Tiebo, both practitioners from Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, were arrested on July 24th, 2007, and detained at the Acheng City No.1 Detention Centre. Mr. Huang Fujun was tortured to death on November 6th, 2007. Personnel from the Acheng District Police, from the Procuratorate, the court, and from the 610 Office were afraid of their crimes being exposed. They convened a secret trial for Huang Tiebo on November 15th that was originally scheduled for November 27th. Personnel from the court informed the lawyer, but they forbade him from informing the practitioner's family. He notified the practitioner's family after the trial. -
Ms. Xu Hui From Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province Arrested; Family Members Prohibited from Visiting Her
2007-12-28Ms. Xu Hui, a practitioner from Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, was arrested on July 20th, 2007, after displaying a banner on Tiananmen Square. that read "The Chinese Communists Are Harvesting Organs from Living Falun Gong Practitioners." She is currently imprisoned in the notorious Masanjia Forced Labour Camp in Liaoning Province. Her son, Cai Chao, was also arrested. Over the ensuring four and a half months, Ms. Xu's husband has gone to Beijing three times and Masanjia twice, but he has not been able to meet her. Her family is very worried about her. -
Mr. Feng Zhigang Imprisoned in the Tianhe District Detention Centre in Guangzhou
2007-12-28On September 23rd, 2007, Mr. Feng Zhigang, a practitioner was arrested and is currently being held at the Tianhe Detention Centre. Mr. Feng's family is extremely worried, especially since authorities have provided no word on his condition and have continually denied their visitation requests. Mr. Feng is still suffering from internal injuries he sustained when he was persecuted on previous occasions. His family informed the relevant offices in Guangzhou of his condition and made numerous requests that he be released on bail for medical reasons. Their requests have all been denied. -
Police from Mencun Town Police Station in Pingdu City, Shandong Province, Harassed and Arrested Many Falun Gong Practitioners
2007-12-27In the autumn of 2005, Ms. Feng Yuping was arrested at a market and taken to the Pingdu City 610 Office for brainwashing. Without any criminal evidence, she was admitted to the Zibo City Forced Labour Camp in Shandong Province for one and a half years. Ms. Feng Yuping's mind has become dazed due to the torture. Also in 2005, police from Mencun Town Police Station and the staff from the Pingdu City 610 Office arrested Ms. Guo Huisheng. She was tortured at the Pingdu City 610 Office for two months. Her family had several thousand yuan extorted from them in exchange for her release. -
A Practitioner in Her 70s Arrested Six Times in Six Years for Exposing the Persecution
2007-12-26I'm 75 years old and live in Daying County, Sichuan Province. I began to practise Falun Gong in June 1998. Many illnesses that I used to have disappeared without a trace. Since July 20th, 1999, Jiang Zemin, [former leader of China and instigator of the persecution] and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) have been relentless in persecuting Falun Gong. I've been distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong for the past eight years. Almost every year they have come to ransack my house and arrest me. Duringone arrest a policeman shouted at me: "How dare you go against the CCP! We will beat you to death." -
Mr. Sun Hongkai Sent to Labour Camp After Completing a Four-Year Prison Term
2007-12-26Mr. Sun Hongkai, a practitioner in his 30s, was sentenced to four years in prison for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong. He was released at the end of 2006. At the beginning of 2007, he went to Beijing to support himself by doing odd jobs. The police suspected that he had come to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Dafa, so they arrested him and sent him to a labour camp for a two-and-a-half year term. -
Mr. Gao Zhenhai, a Farmer in Xin County, Shandong Province, Taken Away and Imprisoned
2007-12-26Since practising Falun Gong, Mr. Gao Zhenhai strictly adhered to to the great universal law of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance." He considered other people first, and people in his village all called him "a genuinely good person." On October 12th, 2007, several police jumped into Mr. Gao's yard. They then wantonly kicked in the door, forced themselves into the dwelling, and proceeded to beat and then arrest Gao Zhenhai. They also unlawfully searched his house and confiscated his property. They did not present any legal documents during the entire episode, and both their comments and behaviour were extremely crude and thuggish. In the subsequent days, Mr. Gao was taken to the Public Security Bureau and brutally tortured. The torture left him emaciated and it was difficult for him to walk. Mr. Gao has been sentenced to one and a half years and of imprisonment. -
Li Dianqin's Family Worried for Her Safety After She Is Detained for Over a Month

Ms. Li Dianqin, 56, was arrested by police in October 2007 while she was distributing distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. Ms. Li was taken to the Shenyang Detention Centre. Over the past month there has not been any more information about her. Her family are very worried about her well-being. Over the past few years Ms. Li has previously been subjected to savage torture in a forced labour camp. The police said to her, "The Chinese Communist Party forbids you to practise; you would be better off stealing or even committing robbery!" -
Two Women in Their 60s Sentenced to Forced Labour in Jinan City
2007-12-24Ms. Jiang Yuxiang and Ms. Sun Jinju are both practitioners in their 60s who live in Jinan City, Shandong Province. When they were distributing distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong in Hualian Supermarket in the Huaiyin District in Jinan City, they were reported to the police. Police officers arrested them and forced them to pay 3,000 and 5,000 yuan, respectively. On October 22nd, without any legal justification, Jinan Police Department officials sentenced Ms. Jiang and Ms. Sun to one and one half years of forced labour each. -
Ms. Song Ping Once Again Detained in Xili Brainwashing Centre in Shenzhen City
2007-12-23In September 2007, Ms. Song Ping went to Jiangsu Province to visit her relatives, but she was arrested by local police at the train station. In late October, she was once again detained in Xili Legal Administration School to be brainwashed. In June 2001, she was arrested in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province for distributing Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution. She was sentenced to a 5-year-term and imprisoned in Nantong Women's Prison. -
Ms. Chen Guolan Sent to Guizhou Province Women's Forced Labour Camp
2007-12-22Ms. Chen Guolan, 43, was persecuted several times for practising Falun Gong, and the managers at her workplace withheld a 20,000 yuan severance payment because of her belief. Eight police officers arrested Ms. Chen Guolan at her home on August 15th, 2006. On September 13th, they sent Ms. Chen to the Guizhou Province Women's Forced Labour Camp. In November 2006, Ms. Chen appeared to have uterine cancer. The camp officials made requests to send her home for medical treatment, but police officials from the different units passed the buck, saying there was no money to take her back. After Ms. Chen Guolan's family told them they would pay all the expenses, the agents finally took her back. On September 21st, 2007, Ms. Chen was arrested again in the middle of the night. Ms. Chen's whereabouts are currently unknown. -

2007-12-22At approximately 3 pm. on November 2nd, 2007, a dozen officers from Anqiu City "Anti-Cult" Division Armed Force Bureau, went to Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xu Jingping's home in Anqiu City to arrest him. Mr. Xu and his son were at home but refused to open the door to the Armed Force Bureau. The officers took turns stationing themselves in front of the door of the home of Mr. Xu for four days. They continually pounded on the door until they finally broke it. The noise was so loud that it was heard in the distance, terrorizing the residents of the building. After they broke down the door, the officers arrested Mr. Xu and his son (a non-practitioner). -
More Information on the Multiple Arrests of Practitioners in October by the Jiaozhou City 610 Office in Shandong Province
2007-12-20On October 1st National Day, the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) 17th Party Congress, they arrested more than 12 Falun Gong practitioners. Police officers used the soles of their shoes to hit the back of practitioner Ms. Li Shiying's head, causing many swollen bumps. They also handcuffed her. They pulled the handcuffs and dragged her around the room. The handcuffs dug deeply into her wrists, which bled non-stop. They also grabbed her by the hair and banged her head against the wall. Her hair was pulled out handful by handful. Her head was covered with blood and the white skin of her scalp was exposed. They also used a hard stick to press her anklebone and rolled it back and forth
