United Kingdom: Practitioners Take the Opportunity of CCP leader’s Visit to Raise Awareness of the Persecution
2005-11-04Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader Hu Jintao is going to visit the UK next week. UK Falun Gong practitioners are using his visit as an opportunity to raise awareness about the CCP’s human rights abuses against Falun Gong to the British society. In the past few days, practitioners from London and outside London have gathered in the capital city to hold an anti-torture exhibition, collect petition signatures and giving out flyers promoting Falun Gong and exposing the CCP’s campaign of genocide against Falun Gong. -
UK Falun Gong Association Requests Government to Bar the Entry of Bo Xilai
2005-11-03The UK Falun Gong Association has requested the UK Home Office to bar entry to Bo Xilai. Bo Xilai is a high-ranking member of the Chinese Communist Party who is guilty of crimes against humanity, genocide and the use of torture against Falun Gong practitioners in China. Such crimes are illegal under international law in accordance with the UN Conventions on Torture and Genocide and are crimes under Section 86 of the UK Criminal Justice Act of 1988. -
Germany: The People of Hannover Call for an End to the Persecution Against Falun Gong Practitioners
2005-11-03Many people expressed not only sorrow and consternation at the human rights abuses against Falun Gong but also asked how they can support and help practitioners in China. They were happy to add their names onto the petition that will be presented to the German Federal President, Horst Koehler, who will meet with Chinese leader Hu Jintao in early November 2005 in Berlin. -
Finland: Promoting Falun Gong on International Oulu Day
2005-11-02Many tourists stopped to watch the exercise demonstrations on the stage, read the posters and take leaflets. Some also took the initiative to talk with practitioners to understand what Falun Gong is, why the CCP persecutes Falun Gong, where to learn the exercises, etc. Some even walked straight up to sign the petition and express their support. -
Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Expose the Persecution Prior to Hu Jintao’s Visit to Germany
2005-11-01On October 27th and 28th, 2005, the nationwide tour of a human rights photo exhibition entitled “Shameful Regions” reached Cologne. As direct victims of the Chinese Communist regime, the Falun Gong group was invited to join the exhibition tour and gave live re-enactments of torture methods to expose the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong. -
Scotland: Practitioners Invited to Talk to Fifth Year Students about Falun Gong and the Persecution
2005-10-31A Chinese and a Western practitioner were invited by Modern Studies teachers to give presentations about Falun Gong to two 5th year classes during their Peace and Justice week. The next day the children were all still talking about the persecution and one teacher said they had been really moved by hearing about it. -
Slovak Republic: Over Five Hundred People Sign a Petition Against the Persecution
2005-10-30From October 20th to the 22nd, there a series of activities took place in three Slovak cities: Kosice, Presov and Zilina, in order that the Slovak people could learn more about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. During those three short days we could feel the openness of the people and their sympathy for the suffering of others. -
France: The First Tour of Paris to Introduce Falun Gong and Expose the Persecution Successfully Concluded
2005-10-30On October 22nd, the first tour of Paris to promote Falun Gong came to its last stop. Sevres Babylone is the name of a subway station in the south west of Paris. People took leaflets and signed their names in opposition to the persecution. For people living in democratic countries, it’s very difficult to accept atrocities committed by the Chinese Communist Party. -
Spain: Human Rights Organisations Hold a Rally in Madrid to Support Five Million Withdrawals From the CCP
2005-10-30The Spanish International Anti-torture Organisation, the Asian Human Rights Protection Agency and The Epoch Times participated in a huge rally in Madrid to support the five million brave people who have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party. Many citizens and visitors passing by signed their names to express their support. -
Germany: Five Hundred Residents of Osnabrück, a Town in Lower Saxony, Show their Support by Signing our Petition
2005-10-29Many children came with their parents and asked us questions. The parents did not complain when their children were looking at the exhibition. Rather, they took time to rationally explain to their children: “This is what’s happening in China right now. They put up this booth to explain to people what’s going on, that it is evil and that it has to be stopped.” -
Finland: Introducing Falun Gong at the Spirit and Knowledge Expo in Helsinki
2005-10-29On the 15th and 16th of October, Falun Gong practitioners participated in the Spirit and Knowledge Expo held annually in Helsinki. Over the two days, practitioners introduced Falun Gong and exposed the persecution to the Finnish people. They demonstrated the exercises and distributed leaflets, as well as collecting signatures for the petition. -
Denmark: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to Participate in Night of Culture in Copenhagen
2005-10-28October 14th was a cultural night in Copenhagen. This year happens to be the bi-centennial anniversary of Hans Christian Andersen’s birthday. The cultural night’s programme was richer than normal. After dark, people participated in various folk festivities and Falun Gong practitioners from Copenhagen and Sweden joined the happy crowd. -
Holland: Introducing Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution in the Small Town of Breda
2005-10-27On October 15th, Falun Gong practitioners from various places in Holland got together in Breda to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises and let people know about Falun Dafa. In addition to exposing the facts about the cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners taking place in China, they also collected petition signatures to support the lawsuits against Jiang Zemin, who is the primary culprit in the persecution of Falun Gong. -
Austria: Anti-Torture Exhibition in Graz
2005-10-27To let people know the truth about Falun Gong and its brutal persecution in China, Austrian practitioners have visited different Austrian towns once a month. On October 15th they paid a visit to Graz and held an anti-torture exhibition, the practitioners themselves demonstrating methods of torture used against their fellows in Chinese labour camps and jails. -
United Kingdom: Poster Exhibition in Leeds Exposes CCP Crimes
2005-10-26On the 15th of October, practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition to help people find out more about Falun Gong and the human rights abuses that are happening to practitioners in China under the direct enforcement of the Chinese Communist Party. Practitioners from several adjacent cities all came to participate in the exhibition.
