Holland: People Pay Attention to Young Victims of the Persecution of Falun Gong in China
2005-11-30November 20th was International Children's Day. In order to bring attention to the children who are victims of the persecution of Falun Gong in China, Dutch practitioners held a poster exhibition on the streets of Rotterdam. Many people signed a petition to express their support and offer their efforts to help rescue these children who are living under very difficult circumstances. -
Spain: The Film “Sandstorm” Receives a Warm Welcome at a Human Rights Film Festival
2005-11-29In October, the third International Human Rights Film Festival hosted by Asociacion Gandhi, a Spanish human rights organisation, toured eight major cities in Spain. Award-winning movie Sandstorm was shown at the film festival. “Sandstorm” is set in China where Falun Gong practitioners are subjected to a brutal persecution. -
Germany: Learning the Truth Awakens Police's Sense of Justice
2005-11-29During Hu Jintao's visit to Germany, practitioners took the opportunity to clarify the truth to the police officers, who have direct contact with practitioners during their appeals and activties. -
France: Children from Province of Nord-Pas-de-Calais Support their Chinese Friends
2005-11-28November 20th was Universal Children’s Day, and French practitioners held an event called “Rescue Falun Gong Children Persecuted in China” at the Human Rights Plaza in Paris. They held an anti-torture exhibition, a photo exhibition and a Falun Gong exercise demonstration. In addition, they told the passersby that many children of practitioners have been orphaned due to the brutal persecution. -
Russia: Falun Gong Practitioners Expose the Persecution of Falun Gong to the People of St Petersburg
2005-11-28On November 5th and 12th respectively, practitioners in St Petersburg held rallies to call for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. A lot of civilians were touched by practitioners’ compassionate and peaceful hearts. They gladly accepted the materials, and some of them discussed with practitioners in depth. -
Denmark: Practitioners Read an Announcement by the Falun Gong Association at the Chinese Embassy
2005-11-27On November 23rd, Danish practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy to read an announcement by the Falun Gong Association. It says, amongst other things, that all those who have committed crimes against Falun Gong but want now to correct their mistakes still have an opportunity to abandon the evil path and choose to be good. -
Czech Republic: Falun Gong Practitioners Visit Mšené Lázně Elementary School
2005-11-27Czech Falun Gong practitioners were invited to an elementary school in Mšené Lázně to speak on human rights in China during a civic education class. The school’s deputy director has several times witnessed practitioners’ peaceful appeals and vigils at the Chinese Embassy in Prague and invited them to talk at his school. -
Germany: Hoping to Awaken the Conscience of the Chinese Leader
2005-11-26When Chinese leader Hu Jintao was visiting Germany, Falun Gong practitioners from all over Europe came to the German capital Berlin. In six places, they sat quietly around the clock displaying three messages on banners: "Falun Gong is good!" "Stop persecuting Falun Gong" "Hu Jintao, the time Gods and people have given you is limited" -
Italy: "We really feel very good!"
2005-11-26In November, Italian practitioners participated in the annual Biella Health Fair for the third time; they hoped to allow more people to understand Falun Gong. Practitioners told the many visitors about the persecution of practitioners in China, demonstrated the exercises and distributed paper lotus flowers to the people. -
Germany: North German Practitioners Expose the Persecution to the Residents of Kassel
2005-11-25On October 29th 2005, North German practitioners congregated to expose the persecution of Falun Gong in China to the residents of Kassel. Kassel has a population of around 200,000. By the end of the day, so many people had wished us “All the Best” and “God speed,” and they let us know that they valued our efforts. -
Russia: Introducing Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution at the Fourth International Cultural Festival in Moscow
2005-11-25On October 16th and 17th, Falun Gong practitioners in Moscow were invited to participate in the Fourth International Cultural Festival. The practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and distributed a lot of leaflets to participants regarding the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong. -
France: Appealing for the Orphaned Children of Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners on World Children's Rights Day
2005-11-25Many Falun Gong practitioners came from all over France to participate in activity called “Rescue the Children” held in Paris' Human Rights Square. In China, due to the Chinese Communist regime’s illegal persecution of Falun Gong, nobody knows how many innocent children have lost their parents or become destitute and homeless. -
Germany: Telling People in Eastern Bavaria about the Persecution of Falun Gong before Hu Jintao’s Visit
2005-11-24Before Hu Jintao’s state visit to Germany, practitioners from Eastern Bavaria organised activities on November 4th in Regensburg and on November 6th in Cham. Since schools in Bavaria were closed for holidays last week, many young people came by who were very interested. They expressed sincere outrage in the face of the torture of peaceful people. -
Germany: Helping the Police to Learn the Facts and Make a Just Choice
2005-11-23In the morning of the 13th of November, Hu left the hotel in Dusseldorf for the airport. After the motorcade left, a policewoman commented, “We understand you well. We know about what is happening in China and that you are peaceful. If I were not duty, I would also take to the streets to protest against the CCP leaders.” -
United Kingdom: Falun Gong Workshop at Dumbarton Academy in Scotland
2005-11-23Students signed the petition and the class warmly thanked the practitioners. The teacher enthusiastically thanked them saying the presentation had been excellent. She suggested that they visit other schools in Scotland and, although she was shocked to find out about the persecution, she was glad that they had come to raise awareness about it.
