UK: Falun Gong Practitioners Join a Health Fair in Wales

On the 1st of February 2004, UK Falun Gong practitioners were invited to attend a Health Fair in Port Talbot, South Wales. During the fair, the Falun Dafa stand and exercise demonstration received an enthusiastic response. Practitioners also used this opportunity to clarify the truth to everybody at this fair and expose the persecution happening in China. The whole activity went very well. -
A Swedish Practitioner Wrote to the President of France to Call for the Upholding of Falun Gong Practitioners' Human Rights
2004-02-08"30 Falun Gong practitioners were detained (some were even handcuffed) in Paris during January 24-27 2004. Some were handing out leaflets to inform about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Some just quietly watched the Chinese parade, and because they wore yellow scarves or clothes with the words “Falun Gong” or “Falun Dafa” they were treated as criminals by French police. Some of them didn't even wear clothes, scarves, or badges of this kind. These actions by the French police against peaceful European citizens are not only unfair, but also against human rights and democracy." -
Non-Governmental Organisations from Different Countries Gathered in Stockholm for the International Conference on "Genocide in the New Era" (Part 1)

The international conference on “Genocide in the New Era”, organised by “Friends of Falun Gong Europe” and “International Advocates for Justice”, commenced in Stockholm on January 26th 2004. The agenda for the first day covered two topics: “Human Rights Violations in China” and “Development and Law”. Lord Francis Thurlow made the opening address. -
UK: Practitioners held a Press Conference outside the French Embassy in London

UK practitioners called upon the embassy staff to pass on the following message to the French government: During the official visit by Hu Jintao on January 28th, French police were poisoned by the Jiang regime’s relentless spread of its fabricated lies against Falun Gong and used excessive force to arrest and detain seven UK Falun Gong practitioners and practitioners from other countries. -
An Open Letter to the French President from Swedish Dafa Practitioners

France: Persecution of Falun Gong on the Agenda at Human Rights Conference for Lawyers in Caen
2004-02-05On January 25th 2004, at the Human Rights Conference in Caen, Dafa practitioner and lawyer, Mr. Carlos Iglesias, gave a speech to an audience of over 2,000 people. He explained the situation of the persecution of Falun Gong in China and the evilness of what he himself classified as a true genocide. He clearly explained the roots of this genocide and the direct and personal responsibility of Jiang Zemin and the repressive genocidal organisation known as the 610 Office, headed by Luo Gan. -
France: Tourist Groups from Mainland China Visit the Louvre
2004-02-05The visitors to the Louvre on Monday included many Chinese, outnumbering westerners many times over. Especially in the hall of the main entrance leading to the Louvre’s three other display areas, frequently one could see Chinese tourist groups assembling there. Foreign travellers who did not know what was going on thought that Monday was Louvres’ Chinese Day. Today the focus of most Mainland visitors was that everywhere in the Louvre there appeared pale blue jackets and yellow scarves displaying the words Falun Dafa. -
Finland: Press Conference Highlights Lawsuits Launched Against Main Persecutors of Falun Gong

On February 2 2004, the Finnish Falun Dafa Association held a press conference at Finlandia House in Helsinki in order to raise awareness about the international lawsuits that have been launched against the persecutors of Falun Gong. The Association also announced that it will take legal action immediately if any responsible person of the persecution of Falun Gong visits Finland. -

2004-02-03Many French people already knew about Falun Gong and expressed their support to us immediately. Chinese people also accepted our material in a kind-hearted way. When they saw it was about Falun Gong, they nodded their heads, smiled, and said cheerfully, “Oh, it’s Falun Gong." The International Conference on 'Genocide in the New Era’, which was jointly held by the ‘International Advocates for Justice’ and ‘Friends of Falun Gong’, convened in Stockholm, Sweden, on January the 26th 2004. The conference was attended by eighteen international human rights groups, many famous human rights lawyers and a few social activists. -
French Falun Gong Association Invited to the Senate for a Press Conference with NGOs and VIPs

On January the 14th, the French Falun Gong Association was invited to the Senate in Paris for a press conference on human rights in China. Among the guests were Former Minister of Education Jack Lang, Amnesty International, Reporters Without Borders, ECPM (Together Against Capital Punishment), France Tibet and Chinese dissidents. -

On January the 28th, some delegates attending the international conference on ‘Genocide in the New Era’, together with practitioners from Europe, North America and Asia held a press conference at the Swedish Parliament, regarding the French Government’s treatment of Falun Gong and their kowtowing to Beijing. During the period of the Chinese New Year Parade and Hu Jintao’s visit to France, the Paris police unreasonably arrested several Falun Gong practitioners who did not do anything wrong. -
UK: Promoting Falun Gong in Manchester’s Chinatown on Chinese New Year
2004-02-01On January the 25th, Dafa practitioners went to Manchester’s Chinatown to hold celebration activities for the Spring Festival. While here, practitioners handed out flyers and clarified the facts about Falun Gong to Chinese people and westerners. The Chinese people's attitude had also changed a lot. When receiving information from practitioners, many of them sincerely said thank you. Some of them even asked for information about practice sites and said that they would like to learn the exercises.
