  • Swedish Party Leader’s Speech Focuses on Persecution of Falun Gong

    On the 5th of February 2004, Lars Lejonborg, leader of the People’s Party in Sweden, held a lecture in the Gothenburg Business University. During his lecture, Lars Lejonborg expressed a strong dissatisfaction with the human rights situation in China. He specifically mentioned that Falun Gong is suffering serious persecution in China. A Falun Gong practitioner attending the lecture handed over some information to Lars Lejonborg about the recent serious incidents in Paris, where Falun Gong practitioners were arrested because of pressure from the Chinese regime.
  • Norway: Practitioners Appeal in front of the French Embassy

    On Friday 6th February, they assembled outside the French Embassy in Oslo to distribute flyers, perform the Falun Gong exercises and deliver a letter to the embassy. A Norwegian practitioner was among those unjustly arrested in Paris, so she delivered a statement about her arrest. On the following day, the practitioners distributed flyers in front of Stortinget (the Parliament).
  • Successful Chinese Art Exhibition was held during the Stockholm International Conference on “Genocide in the New Era”

    During the International Conference on "Genocide in the New Era", renowned Chinese artist Zhang Cuiying held an exhibition of her paintings in a gallery near the conference venue. Conference participants from Asia, Africa, Latin America and North America visited the exhibition. A Swedish national TV station produced an interesting report on the painting exhibition.
  • Russia: Falun Gong practitioners Participate in the Moscow City Health Fair

    In the lobby of the city hall, various forms of health care and recovery were exhibited. Falun Gong practitioners displayed information boards about Falun Dafa, and enthusiastically shared their personal experiences and the benefits they have received from practising with the visitors. They also answered questions and distributed Dafa leaflets, CDs and home-made calendars.
  • Sweden: Photo Report - Swedish Practitioners Appeal at the French Embassy and call on the French Government to Uphold Human Rights

    On February the 6th 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners staged a peaceful demonstration at the French Embassy in Sweden, calling on the French government to immediately investigate the facts behind these unlawful arrests. They hope that the damage to human rights and the dignity of France can be undone.
  • France: Large Scale Public Event in Paris Raises Much Support for Appeal to France not to Bow to Jiang (Photo Report)

    On Sunday February 8th, 2004, approximately one hundred practitioners from around Europe gathered at the Place du Chatalet in Paris. The purpose was to raise public awareness of how the French Authorities had recently bowed to the Jiang Regime and arrested Falun Gong practitioners just for wearing yellow scarves during the Chinese New Year celebrations.
  • French Judge Meets Practitioner to Discuss Lawsuit Against Leader of “Chinese Gestapo”

    The Dafa practitioner was asked by the judge to explain why she had filed the lawsuit. She answered by explaining more about the persecution of Falun Gong, how widespread, systematic and criminal the brutal suppression of practitioners in China is, and how the ex-President and his regime try to impose this abuse of human rights on other countries. She conveyed that France and every other democratic country have a moral responsibility toward what can be officially described as “Genocide" and that this is not a Chinese issue, but an international question.
  • Series Report 3 from the Stockholm International Conference on “Genocide in the New Era”

    Renowned Canadian attorney Mr. Clive Ansley’s speech entitled “A Chinese Court is not a Court” was warmly welcomed and respected by many of the participants. Mr. Ansley is accomplished in Chinese and Canadian law. During the speech, he used pictures and articles to analyse the current status of the Chinese legal system and the persecution of Falun Gong.
  • A Swedish Student Wrote to the French Minister of Justice

    "When did the yellow colour become illegal in France? Falun Gong practitioners wear yellow clothing on many occasions, in particular on the occasion of making peaceful appeals against the persecution. It is not illegal to do so. The French Falun Dafa Association is a legally registered organisation in France and has been supported by government agents and human rights organisations."
  • France: Press Conference After a Lawsuit is Filed Against the Chinese New Year Arrests in Paris

    On February the 5th 2004, the French Falun Gong Association organised a press conference to announce that they would file a complaint against the arrest of Falun Gong practitioners by the French police, which occurred under tremendous pressure from Chinese officials during the Chinese New Year. The press conference was attended by five major national and international media organisations.
  • Part II of a Series of Reports on the International Conference for “Genocide in the New Era” in Stockholm

    On January 27th 2004, the international conference on “Genocide in the New Era” proceeded into the second day. Thirteen human rights lawyers, law scholars and experts in diplomacy and media from Europe, Asia and North America delivered speeches. The topics of the discussion were of academic importance and highly praised by the delegates.
  • UK: Falun Gong Practitioners Join a Health Fair in Wales

    On the 1st of February 2004, UK Falun Gong practitioners were invited to attend a Health Fair in Port Talbot, South Wales. During the fair, the Falun Dafa stand and exercise demonstration received an enthusiastic response. Practitioners also used this opportunity to clarify the truth to everybody at this fair and expose the persecution happening in China. The whole activity went very well.
  • A Swedish Practitioner Wrote to the President of France to Call for the Upholding of Falun Gong Practitioners' Human Rights

    "30 Falun Gong practitioners were detained (some were even handcuffed) in Paris during January 24-27 2004. Some were handing out leaflets to inform about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Some just quietly watched the Chinese parade, and because they wore yellow scarves or clothes with the words “Falun Gong” or “Falun Dafa” they were treated as criminals by French police. Some of them didn't even wear clothes, scarves, or badges of this kind. These actions by the French police against peaceful European citizens are not only unfair, but also against human rights and democracy."
  • Non-Governmental Organisations from Different Countries Gathered in Stockholm for the International Conference on "Genocide in the New Era" (Part 1)

    The international conference on “Genocide in the New Era”, organised by “Friends of Falun Gong Europe” and “International Advocates for Justice”, commenced in Stockholm on January 26th 2004. The agenda for the first day covered two topics: “Human Rights Violations in China” and “Development and Law”. Lord Francis Thurlow made the opening address.
  • UK: Practitioners held a Press Conference outside the French Embassy in London

    UK practitioners called upon the embassy staff to pass on the following message to the French government: During the official visit by Hu Jintao on January 28th, French police were poisoned by the Jiang regime’s relentless spread of its fabricated lies against Falun Gong and used excessive force to arrest and detain seven UK Falun Gong practitioners and practitioners from other countries.
