One day in June of 2000 Wang Jianfeng and many others broke into my home and threatened me, "We have new orders from Jiang. We thought everything was ok after holding the brainwashing class. But we have received orders via telephone from above that we must detain you until you are transformed."... Seeing that I still would not give in, they said: "She obviously will not give in." They then tried to force me to curse at a picture of Teacher. They beat me with wooden clubs until they shattered two of them. They said to me, "We have orders from Jiang Zemin -- it is not a crime to kill Falun Gong practitioners." -

2004-02-23In April 2001, several foreign reporters were planning to visit the Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp. The whole labour camp, from the top levels down to the lower levels, began their customary acts of deception, forcing practitioners of all groups to repeatedly watch those internally-produced video programmes entitled, "60 Questions and Answers for the Foreign Reporters." They drilled practitioners, forcing them to be consistent in speaking these astonishing lies. For example, if asked whether the detainees here were verbally abused, beaten or physically abused, the answer must be "no." -
Baimalong Female Labour Camp Torture and Kill Practitioners
2004-02-23According to Amnesty International's medical advice, these drugs are not in themselves sinister. There are specific disorders for which they are prescribed, but they should be administered by qualified doctors, and their use monitored. In the light of cases of torture and ill-treatment of Falun Gong practitioners, and in the absence of evidence that they suffer from any psychiatric disorder, it is evident that the administration of such drugs are a punitive measure. -

Neijiang "610 Office" Builds Its Own Brainwashing Centre to Persecute Falun Gong Practitioners
2004-02-22They built an iron fence around the houses, set up monitors in every room and in all the places where Dafa practitioners were active, and hired security guards. Thus they effectively turned the area into a prison built especially for the "610 Office." All the practitioners who are sent to this brainwashing centre are forced to pay 2,000 to 5,000 Yuan. The "610 Office" staff either coerces the practitioners' families to pay the fine, or deducts the money from the practitioners' salaries or pensions. -

2004-02-21After several days, we were forced to work. The work was to wrap wooden chopsticks with a layer of paper. "Sterilized" was printed on the paper. In fact it was not hygienic at all. Detainees who had hepatitis, venereal disease, and other illnesses also had to work. None of us were ever asked to wash our hands before work. About 40 detainees were crowded in one room, and the chopsticks were piled up on the ground and on our beds. Hygiene was minimal. -

2004-02-21In April 2001, to force Falun Dafa practitioners to give up their cultivation, the third division tortured Liang Baochi and other practitioners who had been recently sent there. 2004-02-21Yang Songpeng yelled upon seeing him: "You again went to spread the flyers!" Lu Zhifan explained to him that he was just visiting friends. Yang Songpeng showed him a flyer and insisted that it was spread by him. His wife also explained that they did not distribute the flyers, but Yang Songpeng still yelled: "Even if you did not spread the flyers, I would still detain you and detain you until death!" -
Shijiazhuang City Dafa Practitioner Mrs. Liu Xing Dies from Extreme Torture Suffered in Labour Camp
2004-02-20After she returned home, the police station and street office still kept close watch on her. Her work unit also stopped her salary and her husband's salary, causing great financial difficulty and mental pressure to the couple. On January 26, 2004, Liu Xing passed away. Her husband was also arrested and is suffering torments in Baoding First Prison in Hebei Province. -
Dafa Practitioner Ms Li Dongqing Sentenced to Five Years in Prison after Three Years of Forced Labour
2004-02-19In September 2002, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Dongqing completed the three-year term of forced labour. The Masanjia Labour Camp should have released her. Instead, the Camp fabricated some charges against her and brought her to the Shenyang Court. The Court sentenced her to a five-year term, without doing any investigation, and without allowing any testimony. They didn't allow anyone outside the court to know about the sentence, and unjustly sent Dongqing to Shenyang Dabei Female Prison. -
Former Jiaozhou City Judge Is Tortured in State Infirmary
2004-02-19Mr Xiao Zhiduan was a Judge in Jiaozhou city, Shandong province. Because he inisted on practising Falun Gong, he was detained and tortured in a mental hospital. They forcefully tied him to a table and shocked both his arms with a heavy current circular electric needle. Both of his arms went numb from the torture. The pain was too hard to endure and it reached his chest. He eventually fainted. He woke up when they turned off the switch and they shocked him again. They repeated these steps and asked him if he would still practise Falun Gong. -
Female Dafa Practitioners Abused in the Dalian Forced Labour Camp
2004-02-18One of these prisoners, Pan Aihua, told Ms. Gong, "You had better write those four letters of repentance quickly or what you just experienced in the small room was nothing. I will use a stick to poke you until you die [referring to sexual abuse]." We can beat you to death and it would be just like trampling an ant, no one will care."...Brigade Chief, Zhong Zhiyuan, presided over a mobilization meeting and yelled: "The Wuyuan Forced Labour Camp will fulfill 100% of our 'Transformation Ratio.' When one practitioner arrives, we will transform him. After we transform all the practitioners here, we can transfer those practitioners who have not been transformed from labour camps all over the country to here. We can forcibly transform them all."
