Since 28 June, Dafa practitioners have been collecting petition signatures in the busy parts of Gothenburg appealing against the legislation of Article 23 in Hong Kong and calling for the protection of human liberty. Many people approached practitioners to express their concern for the people Hong Kong. -
Germany: Falun Gong Catches People’s Attention at the Regensburg City Festival

The Falun Gong exercise demonstration and the female practitioners’ traditional Chinese dancing caught the attention of many people. Besides applauding enthusiastically, many people also took the opportunity to sign their names on a petition opposing the persecution of Falun Gong and supporting the lawsuit against Jiang. -
Sweden: People in the City of Malmo Sign a Petition to Oppose Article 23

Practitioners displayed photo boards and a banner reading, “Oppose Article 23, Return Power to the People”. They told passers-by about the persecutory nature of Article 23 in detail. Once Article 23 is enacted, people in Hong Kong will lose their freedom and liberty and Hong Kong will be less prosperous. Many Swedish people signed the petition the moment they heard the truth. -

UK: Thousands of People Learn about Bringing Jiang to Justice at the Edinburgh Chinese Consulate
2003-07-02On the 28th and 29th of June, practitioners from Scotland gathered in Edinburgh to peacefully appeal in front of the Chinese Consulate. During these two days a well-known pop singer was performing in a stadium just behind the Consulate and there were 55,000 people passing by the Consulate on their way to the concert each day. Scottish practitioners therefore took the opportunity to expose the brutality in Jiang Zemin’s persecution of innocent Falun Gong practitioners. -
Austria: Revealing the Truth about the Persecution through Music and Poetry
2003-07-02Between music performances and poetry reading, the audience listened to the story of Dai Zhizhen, a Chinese Falun Gong practitioner with Australian citizenship, who lost a husband and a father due to the Jiang regime’s persecution. Practitioners told people about the arrest of U.S. citizen Charles Li, for being a Falun Gong practitioner. The audience was also told about “Yellow Express”, a group who aim to use their music to tell people about the persecution. -

Germany: A Successful Falun Gong Demonstration at Magdeburg Mid-Summer Night Festival
2003-07-01Several hundred college students and visitors gathered in the University campus to watch many different performances. Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and gave a voiceover outlining the practice. The demonstration lasted more than ten minutes and was very successful, receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience. In the University, there were many students from China. They saw clearly the huge difference between the false propaganda manufactured by the Jiang regime and the truth about Falun Gong. -

One Belgian woman signed the petition immediately and clearly realized the terrible nature of this persecution. A Danish businessman told the practitioners that he fully supports our activities. He signed the petition and wished us good luck before he left and said he was sure the trial against the dictator Jiang will be a success. -
Sweden: Telling People about Falun Gong, Article 23 and the Lawsuit Against the Instigators of the Persecution

This weekend, practitioners in Växjö took to the streets to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises and let more people know about the severe persecution of practitioners in China. We told people about the lawsuits against several of the people responsible for this persecution, and we told them about Article 23, which is an enormous threat against democracy and human rights in Hong Kong. -
Sweden: Collecting Signatures in Malmo City to Support the Global Lawsuit Against Jiang
2003-06-29We hung up a banner and set up display boards, and more and more people offered to sign their names. Through signing their names, they expressed their surprise and anger at the persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang’s regime. Some of them asked, “Why is such a peaceful movement banned in China? People here can belong to all kinds of movements.” Others said, “You are all nice people, why should they persecute you?” -

On 28 June 2003, as part of the global action against the implementation of Article 23 in Hong Kong, practitioners in several Swedish cities informed the public about the threat of Hong Kong’s new national security bill. Many Swedish people approached practitioners and asked to sign a petition supporting the Hong Kong people. -
Germany: Collecting Signatures to Support the Global Lawsuit Against Jiang Zemin and Rescue our Relatives
2003-06-28German practitioners’ campaign to collect petition signatures in Varsburg has now entered its fourth week and many people have signed our petition. During this month-long campaign, more and more people have found out about this activity and go out of their way to talk with practitioners and ask about the prosecution of Jiang Zemin. In particular, our campaign has been highly supported by the largest local newspaper.
