Practitioners displayed traditional Chinese culture during the parade, featuring the European Divine Land Marching Band, a waist drum troupe, a Falun Gong exercise demonstration on a float, and "Celestial Maiden" dancers.

The practitioners handed out information about Falun Gong to people who were participating in the grand event, and to passersby, and told them about Falun Gong's tremendous ability to improve physical and mental health. They also demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises.

Falun Gong practitioners were invited to demonstrate the exercises on the main stage twice. Many visitors from all over northern England showed great interest in the practice. They streamed to the Falun Gong booth to ask many questions, including ones about the benefits of the practice and the persecution in China.

Falun Gong, an ancient Chinese meditation practice, has participated in Culture Night since 2011. This year practitioners again welcomed people from Norrköping and the surrounding area of the Östergötland region. Many visitors to Culture Night learned about the practice of Falun Gong, tried the five exercises, and took part in the origami lotus flower workshop.

A unique scene unfolding on the square in front of Parliament caught the attention of passers-by. A group of Falun Gong practitioners wearing yellow T-shirts or golden exercise outfits demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises.

Prague's Old Town Square, an historic location that has witnessed defining events in the history of the Czech Republic, saw Falun Gong practitioners rally, parade and collect signatures on July 19.

Falun Gong practitioners from all over Europe held a series of events in downtown Madrid to raise awareness of the suppression of Falun Gong in China. The events included a rally in the afternoon on October 3 and a march, rally and candlelight vigil on October 4.

“I hope that the march helps more people discover the beauty of the practice and learn about the brutal persecution in China,” said Mr. Zaccaro, an Italian who resides in Frankfurt, Germany. He has been a member of the European Divine Land Marching Band for two years and plays the trumpet.

After talking to practitioners at the event, many tourists discovered that they had been misled by the Chinese regime's propaganda while in their home country, where Falun Gong is brutally persecuted.

The 2014 European Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference was held in Madrid, Spain, on October 5, 2014. Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, sent a greeting, encouraging practitioners to learn from each other and remain diligent.

Mr. Xuan Chengxi, a 61-year-old farmer from Shandong, was beaten to death a few hours after he was arrested on October 12th, 2000. Falun Gong practitioners have been killed every month since the Communist regime started the persecution on July 20th 1999.

Hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners from 35 countries in Europe gathered in front of the embassy to raise awareness of the Chinese regime's persecution of Falun Gong. They called for efforts to bring Jiang Zemin and others involved in the persecution to justice. They also did the exercises together.

The parade opened a window to the real China, one that most people have limited access to: a country with a splendid traditional culture, the birthplace of a beautiful and profound spiritual practice that has spread all over the world, yet which is persecuted in its country of origin.
