• Public Screening of Free China Film in British Parliament Draws Wide Support

    On July 1, 2013, the first public screening of the newly released, award-winning documentary Free China: The Courage to Believe took place in the British Parliament. Members of Parliament (MP) and the public were visibly shaken by the stories portrayed in the film. Several MPs talked about the importance of enabling more people in mainland China and the international community to see the film, so that more people will become aware of the crimes committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
  • Austria: Collecting Signatures Against the Persecution in Graz

    On June 1, 2013, Falun Dafa practitioners held an event in front of the State Hall, in the historic city of Graz, Austria, to inform people about the 14-year persecution of Falun Gong in China. They set up an information table, distributed Dafa-related materials, and used a megaphone to tell people about the crimes committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) against Falun Gong.
  • France: Introducing Falun Gong at an Art Exhibition in Brassac

    The Brassac Salon Art Exhibition held its first public showing in the City of Brassac, France, on May 30-June 9, 2013. One Falun Gong practitioner, who is also a local professional sculptor, participated in the event. Some of the names of her art pieces included, Shen Yun: Mongolian Dance , Sacred Lotus , and The Five Exercises of Falun Gong.
  • United Kingdom: Practitioners Participate in the Glasgow West End Festival

    The City of Glasgow played host to Scotland's largest cultural event of the year on May 31, 2013, the West End Festival. Over 100 organizations, arts groups, and local and international artists participated in the popular event. Falun Gong practitioners set up a booth, demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, collected petition signatures, and talked to passersby.
  • Denmark: Practitioners Receive a Warm Welcome from Bornholm Island Residents

    The practitioners used their annual leave to visit four schools where they taught the Falun Gong exercises and the importance of acting according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They also informed the children about the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong in China. Danish newspaper, Bornholms Tidende, published an article about the practitioners' visit.
  • Bulgaria: Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day with Events across the Country

    May has become a special month for Falun Dafa practitioners in Bulgaria in their efforts to tell people about Falun gong and the persecution in China. May sees events in some of the biggest cities in Bulgaria: Bourgass, Sliven, Dobrich, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Russe and the capital, Sofia.
  • Germany: Introducing Falun Gong at the Munster Street Festival in Dortmund

    As the practitioners began to demonstrate the exercises, the MC told the audience in German, “This is the Falun Gong group. It is a practice that is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. It involves a set of five exercises that are suitable for people of all ages. Practising Falun Gong increases one's vital energy, while at the same time calming down one's mind.”
  • Poland: Over 1,000 People Sign Petition to Support Falun Gong

    Practitioners in Poland held events for three consecutive days, June 14-16, 2013, to introduce Falun Gong and raise awareness about the communist regime's persecution of the practice in China. The events, held in the cities of Poznan and Krakow, attracted a lot of attention from the public.
  • Moldova: The Art of Zhen, Shan, Ren Exhibition Moves People's Hearts

    The artwork depicted the tragedy of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, as well as the beauty and depth of the practitioners' spiritual belief. The works, consisting mainly of oil paintings and Chinese pastels, touched the depths of people's souls, stirring their primal quest to understand humanity and the universe beyond.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Shines in the Annual Carnival of Cultures Festival

    On June 1, 2013, Falun Gong practitioners participated in Germany's 17th annual Carnival of Cultures, held in the City of Bielefeld. Around 2,000 participants and 70 ethnic groups from around the world performed before as many as 100,000 spectators. Festival organizers arranged for the Falun Gong procession to occupy the last spot in the parade lineup so that the Divine Land Marching Band, consisting of about 80 practitioners from 13 countries, could serve as the “grand finale” to the wildly popular event.
  • Finland: Promtoing Falun Gong & Exposing the Persecution at the World Village Festival

    Helsinki hosted Finland's annual World Village Festival in Kaisaniemi Park and Railway Square on May 26 and 26. The popular event, which started back in 1995, attracted over 85,000 visitors. Ethnic groups from around the world met to exchange cultural views as well as music, food, dance, theatre and art. Finnish practitioners participated in the World Village Festival to raise awareness about the Chinese Communist Party persecution of Falun Gong.
  • Russia: Introducing Falun Dafa at the Military and Sports Forum in Moscow

    The 9 th Military and Sports Forum, 'Ready for Labour and Defense,' was held in Moscow, Russia, on May 30-June 2, 2013. The event took place in Red Square, right next to the Kremlin, the seat of the Russian government. More than 70 groups took part in the occasion, including the Moscow Falun Dafa Association. The event promoted healthy living and an active lifestyle.
  • Sweden: Practitioners Protest Persecution During the Visit of Yu Zhengsheng, CCP Political Consultative Conference Chairman

    During his visit to Sweden on June 1-3, 2013, Yu Zhengsheng, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Politburo Standing Committee member, also chair of the Political Consultative Conference, saw Falun Gong practitioners' protesting the 14-year-long persecution. Practitioners stood in front of the Chinese Consulate in Gothenburg and in front of the Royal Palace in Stockholm where Yu met with Sweden's King.
  • Latvia: International Art Exhibition “The Art of Zhen Shan Ren” visits Riga

    On 2nd April 2013, International Art Exhibition “The Art of Zhen Shan Ren” opened at the Latvian Artists' Union Gallery (AUL) in Riga. At the opening, there were many famous Latvian artists, politicians and well known people. The exhibition was opened by Mr. Igors Dobichins, Chairman of the AUL, and Mr. Lauris Fisers, curator of the exhibition.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Peacefully Protest During Chinese Premier's Visit to Berlin

    On May 25-27, 2013, practitioners in Germany rallied to protest during China Premier Li Keqiang's visit to Berlin. They urged him to stop the persecution of Falun Gong in China; end the organ harvesting of Falun Gong prisoners of conscience, and bring the instigator of the persecution, Jiang Zemin, and his accomplices to justice.
