May 13, 2013 was the 14th World Falun Dafa Day, the 21st anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the world, and also the 62nd birthday of Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong. Falun Gong practitioners in Gothenburg, Sweden gathered on May 13 to celebrate the special occasion at Slottsskogen, the largest natural park in Gothenburg.

May 13, 2013 was the 14th World Falun Dafa Day. Russian Dafa practitioners in St. Petersburg celebrated the special day at Finland Station Square near the banks of the Neva River. Practitioners wished Master Li Hongzhi (the founder of Falun Dafa) a Happy Birthday, and expressed their thanks to Master Li. They also demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and introduced the practice to passersby.

German Falun Gong practitioners celebrated the 14th annual World Falun Dafa Day near the town hall on Marienplatz Square in Bavaria on May 10, 2013. They also wished Master Li a happy birthday.

A new Falun Dafa flyer has been published by the FalunDafa.org website. The flyer is printed on letter-size paper in full colour, and is folded in a tri-fold fashion.

Every year in May, practitioners celebrate World Falun Dafa Day by hosting events in their communities and sending greetings to the founder of the practice, Master Li Hongzhi, via the Minghui website. On Saturday 11th May, UK Falun Dafa practitioners held an activity in Trafalgar Square, London. They handed out leaflets and talked to people about the benefits of practising Falun Dafa. Many people were keen to find out about the practice and enjoyed the demonstration of the five sets of exercises.

Falun Dafa practitioners in Russia spent two days celebrating the 21 st anniversary of Falun Dafa's public introduction in Bauman Park and at the Botanical Gardens, respectively. Joyous waist drumming on the stage in Bauman Park kicked off the day's celebration at noon on May 11. Practitioners also demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises.

On April 29, 2013, a special hearing on live organ harvesting was held in the UK parliament. It was organized by Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH) and was held to expose live organ harvesting crimes occurring in China and to discuss the international society’s efforts to develop legal procedures to prevent this crime.

On April 25, 1999, approximately 10,000 practitioners gathered quietly in Beijing to appeal to the central government for the right to practice Falun Gong. They came from all walks of life and regions of the country to ask the Chinese Communist regime to cease its escalating harassment, and ensure protection for basic human rights.

Falun Dafa, an ancient cultivation practice of mind and body based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, is practised and cherished throughout the world by people from all walks of life. Over the last 20-plus years, since Mr. Li Hongzhi first brought the practice to the public in China, Falun Dafa has been embraced in over 100 countries.

When Vice President of the European Parliament Edward McMillan-Scott attended a hearing on human rights in China in Washington, DC, on March 4, 2013, he met with Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Zhang Lianying and her family. Very active over the past few years in the effort to rescue this family, he was excited to see them in DC and made the comment that the persecution in China “would not last much longer.”

The New York Touring Company of Shen Yun Performing Arts caused quite a sensation at the Wiener Stadthalle, in Vienna, Austria, on March 1-2, 2013. Audiences were treated to two high-spirited shows put on by the world's best Chinese dance and music group.

Shen Yun Performing Arts' hallmark display of classical Chinese dance was well received during six packed shows in London’s West End Barbican Theatre, from March 5-9, 2013. Many of London's top singers, songwriters, film directors, and other professionals attended Shen Yun.

Practitioners in St. Petersburg held activities to introduce Falun Gong and expose the Chinese Communist Party's persecution in a seniors' activity centre and an orphanage. Many people learned the exercises on the spot. Falun Gong practitioners also gave traditional Chinese performances.
