During the past five years, Jiang Zemin and his political group's genocidal persecution of Falun Gong has been especially shocking as it has been applied to female practitioners. The torture and degradation inflicted upon female practitioners is a crime of state terrorism. It symbolises the Jiang group's complete moral deterioration. This has brought profound harm to the Chinese people.
One female Dafa practitioner was raped by a policeman in broad daylight underneath a highway bridge. Many female practitioners in forced labour camps have been stripped naked and tied to a bed in a "spread eagle" position. In Dalian City's forced labour camp, police use electric batons to shock many female practitioners, specifically targeting their genital regions.
Rape of Female Falun Gong Practitioners is An Act of State Terrorism
To a particular country or ethnic group, the greatest humiliation and threat to its survival is the killing of innocent people and the rape of women as a result of political struggle or foreign invasion. Historically, Chinese people viewed the Japanese invader's acts of murder, robbery and rape during the "Nanjing Massacre" as a national humiliation . In the present situation, an even more savage tragedy has been staged in the land of China, the root cause of which is the jealousy of one man in power. Due to an extensive cover-up, most people are unable to see the complete picture of this act of state terrorism. However, from the large quantity of evidence, one can determine the true nature and extent of this crime. The persecution of female Falun Gong practitioners offers such evidence.
According to the statistics of confirmed cases of persecution that have come to light via nongovernmental sources, from July 1999 to May 2004 (58 months), 960 Falun Gong practitioners have died as a result of various forms of persecution for their belief. Among them, females totalled 496, a stunning 52%. Their average age is 45. These female Falun Gong practitioners were found throughout China's 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, which report directly to the Central Government. Confined at forced labour camps, detention centres, jails and brainwashing facilities throughout China, female practitioners come from all walks of life, including teachers, engineers, researchers, students, factory workers, farmers, small business owners, state employees, wives, mothers and young adults.
The Jiang Group's Immoral Treatment of Female Falun Gong Practitioners Is Relentless and Disregards the Consequences
Women's rights, the protection of their social status and their level of respect are direct measures of the civility of a society or country. The basic function of a civilised country is to assure justice and to protect ordinary people's legal rights, as well as to protect the rights of women, children and the elderly. However, during the past five years, Jiang Zemin did exactly the opposite by misusing the power given to him. An entire state's political, health, industrial, educational, etc. machinery has been used to kill the innocent and inhumane means were employed to ravage women. In their attempt to completely eradicate Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin and his followers have been relentless, showing complete disregard for the consequences.
Jiang Zemin, who publicly claimed to be "managing the country with virtue," was once asked about his opinion of a "June Fourth" [refers to the student democracy protest at Tiananmen Square] appeal by a female college student who was raped by police. Jiang replied almost without thinking, "They were rioters, it served her right!" His reply truly reflected the dictator's immoral nature. At the same time he announced to the whole world his way of "virtuously managing" the country: In China, sexually abusing political prisoners, prisoners of conscience and ideological prisoners is not considered against the law. In addition to his immoral philosophy, Jiang and his followers also used methods of great pressure, rewards to coerce policemen and reduction of inmates' sentences to get them participate in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
Through the instigation of Jiang and his followers, labour camp personnel from all over China treated women with the utmost brutality and despicable practices. In addition to almost a hundred different kinds of tortures promoted by this regime, a section within the "Falun Gong Human Rights Report" entitled "Crimes Against Women" has the following descriptions: Of the tens of thousands of detained female Falun Gong practitioners, very few escape the fate of having their clothes forcibly removed (sometimes they are forced to remain naked for long periods of time). They weren't allowed to use clean feminine hygiene products, and they lived under the constant threat of sexual harassment and abuse; quite often their breasts and genital areas were specifically targeted to be beaten, kicked and shocked by electric batons,. More horrifying cases tell of female practitioners being raped and even gang raped. Their vaginas were shocked with electric batons, scraped with hard-bristled brushes, or they were stripped naked and put into cells with male criminals. A female Falun Gong practitioner who escaped with her life said, "The wickedness in those places is unimaginable to the outside world."
According to Clearwisdom.net, although a number of vicious incidents took place at Dalian City's forced labour camp, none of the people who were responsible were punished.
Dalian City's labour camp embarked on a large-scale "transformation" campaign [to force practitioners to renounce their belief in Falun Dafa]; Chief Hao Wenshuai required almost every single guard to participate. On March 19, 2001, Hao Wenshuai personally used electric batons to shock female practitioners, which resulted in many blistered faces and bodies. Xiao Wangjun, Da Wangjun and Jiang Yi (females) forced Dafa practitioners to the ground, sat on them and held their heads down, while others used electric batons to beat and shock the women. Trying to force a practitioner (surname was Miao) to give up the practice, the evil perpetrators continuously persecuted her for twenty hours. The evil deeds they committed on "March 19th" resulted in one death and one practitioner badly wounded. Other Dafa practitioners who were killed at Dalian City Forced Labour Camp are Sun Lianxia (tortured to death on January 16, 2001) and Wang Qiuxia (beaten to death on June 10, 2001).
Han Shuhua, a fifty-year-old female practitioner lived in the Ganjingzi District, was sentenced to two years of forced labour for not giving up her belief. At Dalian City Forced Labour Camp, Han was locked in a "small cell." Brigade leaders Wan Yalin, Fan Lingyue and Han Jianmin instigated inmates to torture her. She was suspended in the air in a "spread eagle" position. They used wooden boards to hit her feet, a cucumber and wooden stick were forced into her vagina and she was force-fed chili pepper water. The cruelest thing they did to Han was to pour an entire bottle of boiling water over her bound feet, giving her huge blisters. She passed out from the intense pain immediately. Then the perpetrators untied her, dragged her back and forth across the floor until the skin and blisters on her feet were scraped off leaving exposed burns.
Yi Guiyong was a 43 years old female practitioner living in Lushun City. In February 2002 she was put in a "small cell." Under the direction of brigade leader Han Jianmin, inmates Guo Ling, Zhang Xiujuan and Sun Po suspended her from a metal cage in a "spread eagle" position, and then they brutally tortured her. They sprayed Yi Guiyong with cold water at the coldest time of winter. They also used rough and heavy ropes to drag back and forth across her genital area as a form of torture. The methods were very cruel.
Wang Xinfeng was a 30 year old female practitioner from Pulandian City. She was very firm in her belief and she refused to wear a sign that had the word "transformed" written on it. For this, she was handcuffed to a heater and was forced to stand in place for five days and nights.
Practitioners Cheng Hui (27 years old) and Sun Yan (30 years old) also experienced being tied while arms and legs were spread out. So-called "Assistant Educators" forcibly inserted a long rod in and out of their vaginas, which caused them to begin hemorrhaging profusely. Perpetrators induced chili pepper water into the vaginas of two other female practitioners; "Assistant Educators" also forced a toilet brush that was used to clean the bathroom into their vaginas, which caused heavy bleeding and subjected them to dangerous infection.
The so called "small cells" in Dalian City Forced Labour Camp were nothing more than metal cages about 1 metre in width and 2 metres in height. When a person was dragged into a small cell, their arms were handcuffed overhead, and the handcuffs were tightened until they cut into the flesh. One leg was raised to a position touching the arm, then it was tied with a rope; and then two people would raise the other leg to its highest possible position. The perpetrators would also tape the mouth of the practitioner. All these were to prepare for the torture of the woman's genital area. For instance, a rope that was tied with many knots (a knot every 2 to 3 inches) was held by two perpetrators at each end and was rapidly moved back and forth in a sawing motion against the woman's bare genital area. Evil perpetrators also forced mop handles into practitioners' vaginas. Their genital areas were also cut and beaten with wooden boards. After a round of this inhuman persecution, the amount of blood on the floor had to be wiped up with a large rag.
According to reports, Falun Gong practitioners who were persecuted at labour camps were often told the following by perpetrators, "We represent the government when transforming you," "It will be ok even if you die," "We have orders that any Falun Gong (practitioner) beaten to death can be counted as a suicide."
Victims of this persecution of women not only include elderly women and children, but also pregnant and nursing women.
The following are some of the representative cases from different facilities:
Forced Abortion: When Shanxi Province's female Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Hanyun was ready give birth, Hanzhong City's 6-10 Office forcefully took her to the brainwashing centre as well as to the hospital and used a late term abortion method to abort her almost full term foetus. Shenzheng City's Falun Gong practitioner Wang Shaona and her husband went to Beijing to appeal, where they were abducted and detained at Shekou District's custody centre. At that time Ms. Wang was 6 months pregnant; in order to detain her "lawfully" the police forcibly aborted her baby.
Torturing Pregnant Women: Luo Zhixiang, from Guangzhou City's Tianhe District, was a 29 year old engineer who was 3 months pregnant. She was taken away by perpetrators from 6-10 Office to a drug rehabilitation centre where she was tortured. On December 4, 2002 she was persecuted to death. Another female practitioner, Shu Ping, was sent to Hebei Province's Gaoyang Labour Camp, because she refused to give up practising Falun Gong. Although she was 4 months pregnant at the time, perpetrators still used electric batons to shock her legs and mouth, forced her to spread out her arms and stand for long periods of time with her body bent. Sometimes she was tortured for more than 20 hours causing agonising pain in her lower back and stomach as well as nausea. She protested to her perpetrators, "How can you treat a pregnant woman like this?" They replied, "Who knows if you are pregnant? When you die, we will cremate your body, and the only thing your family will see is your ashes."
Persecution of Nursing Women and Children: On October 21, 2000, during their journey to Beijing to appeal to the Central Government to stop the persecution of Falun Gong, Wang Lixuan, a villager from Xixia Temple Zhennangou Village, Yantai City, Shandong Province, and her 8-month son were abducted and later detained at Beijing City's Tuanhe Labour Camp. On November 7, both the mother and the son were tortured to death.

Baoding City's preschool teacher, Gu Peng, was a 27 year old practitioner. In January 2001, Gu Peng, her husband and their 6-month baby were abducted in Beijing because they appealed to the government to stop persecuting Falun Gong. The brutal police continually shocked Gu Peng with electric batons. After being returned to Baoding City, she was sent to a psychiatric hospital by the local "610 Office". She was beaten every day and was forced to take drugs that depress the central nervous system, which can cause severe dissociation. The drugs made her quite delirious; as a result, she started to pace back and forth for no reason. Because she was being abused and tortured this way in the psychiatric hospital, she was unable to care for her baby.
Amy Lee had a happy family and used to be a successful fashion designer in Guangzhou. After the persecution of Falun Gong, Amy Lee was abducted many times by plainclothes policemen. Her daughter Doudou was also frequently detained for over 24 hours at a time. Because her daughter was afraid of not seeing her mother again, she never took a step away from Amy; she was even afraid of going to the bathroom alone. Every time Doudou saw her mother taken away by police, she would cry at the top of her lungs. Out of love and concern for her daughter's future, Amy was forced to leave her daughter and come to the United States. The US government approved Doudou's visa to come to the US; however, Guangzhou City's police department's Dongshan Division initially refused to give her daughter a passport, because "family members of Falun Gong practitioners can't leave the country." After much effort, on November 8, 2003, Doudou finally joined her mother in New York.

Rape: While posting Falun Gong flyers, a female Falun Gong practitioner (unnamed to protect the victim) was stopped by a plainclothes policeman. He started to beat her fiercely and yelled to the nearby pedestrians, "She's a Falun Gong practitioner, a counter-revolutionary, its nothing, even if I beat her to death." After beating her, this policeman dragged her under the bridge, tore open her pants and raped her. Afterwards he sat on her and forcibly inserted a plastic baton into her vagina.
On the night of May 13, 2003, a Chongqing University female graduate student, Wei Xingyan, was raped by a policeman in public at the Shapingba District's Baihelin Custody Centre. After public exposure of the incident, Chongqing University not only failed to investigate the policeman, but denied that Wei Xingyan was a student of the University and deleted the description of Wei Xingyan's department of study--High Voltage Direct Current and Simulation Technology. At present, Wei Xingyan's whereabouts remain unknown.
Gang Rape: In June 2000, 18 female practitioners from the Masanjia Labour Camp were stripped naked and thrown into male criminal inmates' cells. Those male inmates were directed to rape these female Falun Gong practitioners. Falun Gong practitioners were forced to stand naked in front of the surveillance cameras for humiliation, and also to stand naked in the snow. Female practitioners at Masanjia were often stripped and shocked with electric batons around and in their vaginal areas. Not only were they interrogated, but they were also sexually abused and humiliated--all these actions were used to terrorise them to give up practising Falun Gong.
Sexually Abusing Older Women: in August 2000, four female Falun Gong practitioners over 55 years of age--Ms. Liu Jiaming, Ms. Wang Rulan, Ms. Chen Lihua and another whose name is not known--were arrested and sent to a police dispatching facility in Beijing's Daxing County. The police searched their personal belongings when they first arrived and ripped open their satchels to see if they concealed anything. Then the police forced them to take off all their clothes. After the search was done, they drove the naked elderly women into the courtyard to sew together their satchels. At the same time, male policemen were patrolling the area and all the male inmates were able to view them.
Persecuting Female Falun Gong Practitioners Visiting from Abroad: According to Clearwisdom.net, on the morning of April 6, 2004, Yoko Kaneko, a resident of Japan, gave a speech at the U.N. Commission on Human Rights, offering her personal testimony of the persecution she experienced while being held at the Beijing Women's Labour Camp:
In the Police Hospital, the police tried to force me to give up my belief. They handcuffed me to a bed. The handcuffs were so tight that my wrists were bleeding. They not only injected a tube through my nose into my stomach for force-feeding, but also used a catheter to drain my urine so that I would not need go to the toilet. At that time, I was menstruating. They put me on a plastic sheet with my lower body naked and exposed.I was handcuffed to that bed for almost 20 days in the hot summer heat, lying in my own sweat, sticky sludge, and the discharge from my lower body. When I was finally released from the bed, I couldn't get off the bed by myself and couldn't walk. The skin on my entire back was infected and rotted.
The Persecution of Women was Organised and Systemically Executed
From the case of the rape of Wei Xingyan (above), one can glimpse of the scale and intensity of this persecution that involves the entire machinery of a nation directed by Jiang Zemin. After the exposure of such evildoing from the Central Government down to local administration levels, no one has punished any perpetrators nor upheld the law; no media has publicised the truth and condemned the evil deeds. On the contrary, administrators from the party together with the news media and education department cooperated with the Gestapo-like "610 Office" to block the passage of information--they transferred the offender and quarantined the victim and witnesses from other students in the dorm. Chongqing University even lied to the public, saying that the victim and her major of study did not exist by issuing three releases on the subject. Jiang's political group sent agents from the "610 Office" to arrest Falun Gong practitioners and whoever leaked information. This allowed them to continue to assert their immoral policies.
During the persecution, national and local Women's Federations and Women's Workers Committees combined forces with the 6-10 Office and participated in the media's campaign by promoting deception and hate propaganda, encouraging family members to exert pressure on Falun Gong practitioners and employing the method of belief segregation--even exporting the persecution beyond China's borders.
On January 20, 2001, right before Jiang's group directed the "Tiananmen Immolation" fraud, according to the New China News Agency, the All-China Women's Federation of China launched a nationwide activity instigating women of China and 270 million families to force Falun Gong practitioners to "completely separate from Falun Gong." Beijing City, Tianjin City, Hebei Province, Anhui Province, Harbin City, Jilin Province, Shandong Province, etc. also organised the so-called "Million Family Promise" signature collection campaign, causing a nationwide media campaign of hate propaganda that poisoned the minds of millions of people. After the "Self-immolation" fraud, Jiang Zemin, who is infamously labelled by Amnesty International as a "Human Rights Scoundrel," immediately expressed concern for human rights using the Women's Federation as a puppet, suggesting that "Falun Gong has harmed children's rights of survival and development." What a hypocritical example of "a thief crying, 'stop the thief!' "
In addition to using the Women's Federation within China to stir up hatred, Jiang's group also used government-established "Non-government Organisations" to spread the persecution outside of China: In 2002, the All-China Women's Federation handed down a notice calling upon families to write letters and call friends and family abroad to spread the hate propaganda and persuade them to stop practising Falun Gong. When summarising the organisation's work, Hua Fuzhou, the person in charge of the All-China Women's Federation said that in the Yuanbaoshan District, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region alone there were 212 families that had written letters and cards to be disseminated abroad. Her report added, "This activity was fully affirmed by the Central "610 Office."
The Morally Depraved Jiang and his Political Group has Brought Endless Calamities Upon China
A society's determination of what is "criminal" is usually based upon three broad criteria, morality, public opinion and law. But when a tyrant, out of his own immorality, wields his power to do the opposite, and produces propaganda filled with deception and hatred to mislead public opinion and intimidates the legal system into a becoming a "rubber stamp" using other public services (police, hospitals, etc.) to murder the innocent and rape the women, then there is no guarantee for the safety of people's lives, women's rights or dignity.
Hopefully more people will help to expose the evildoings of the Jiang group's acts of state terrorism. Everyone in the world should denounce them! This is the only way Chinese people can be freed from this terrible civil misery.
