United Kingdom: Manchester Falun Gong Practitioners Protest Against the Hiring of Gunmen Overseas to Shoot Practitioners in South Africa

On June 28th, gunmen attacked Australian Falun Gong practitioners who were driving from the airport in Johannesburg. The car was hit at least five times. Of all the practitioners, the only one wearing clothing with the Falun Dafa insignia, David Liang, was shot, causing injuries to his foot. Police have opened a case and assigned an inspector to investigate. -
Germany: Falun Dafa Practitioners Participate in Hamburg’s Altonale Cultural Festival

Between June 19th and June 24th, Hamburg celebrated the Altonale cultural festival. Despite the unpredictable weather, more than 500 thousand people attended one of Northern Germany’s most popular cultural celebrations. Falun Gong took part in the Altonale again this year and was included in the festival’s activities, as it registered its booth on time. -

Belgium: Practitioners Condemn the Terrorist act of Hiring Gunmen Overseas to Shoot Falun Gong practitioners.

After hearing that gunmen in South Africa attempted to kill Falun Gong practitioners, Belgian practitioners went to the Chinese consulate in Brussels and strongly condemned Jiang’s act of terror. Shocked by news of the incident in South Africa, people at the consulate on business, especially the overwhelming majority of Chinese people, accepted the flyers distributed by the practitioners one after another. -
South African Embassy to Austria: "South Africa welcomes Falun Dafa!"

On June 30th 2004, upon hearing that thugs were hired to shoot Falun Gong practitioners, Austrian practitioners called the South African Embassy and told embassy officials about the incident and about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. Shortly afterward, an embassy official called Austrian practitioners and said: South Africa welcomes Falun Dafa! -
Germany: Practitioners in Munich Expose the Jiang Group's Crimes on the United Nations International Day in Support of Victims of Torture

On International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, practitioners from Munich held a picture exhibition in Karlsplatz Square, a renowned tourist area, to expose the horrific torture carried out by the Jiang group in its persecution of Falun Gong. Many passers-by were shocked by the brutality of the persecution and signed our petition to ‘Bring Jiang Zemin to justice.’ -

UK practitioners held a peaceful appeal in front of the Chinese Embassy in London on June the 26th, which was World Anti-Torture Day. Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, sent righteous thoughts and called on society to pay attention to the brutal and illegal campaign of genocide being waged against Falun Gong in China. -
United Kingdom: Press Conference Outside South Africa House Regarding the Shooting of a Falun Gong Practitioner in Johannesburg

On Wednesday 1st July, Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference outside South Africa House to tell people about the shooting of a fellow Falun Gong practitioner by Chinese criminals in South Africa on Monday. They handed in a letter to the South Africa High Commission asking for an investigation to be carried out into the shooting, which occurred as two senior Chinese Ministers, both with lawsuits against them for the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, visited Pretoria to meet with South African officials. -
Russia: Telling the Facts at the World Anti-Torture Day Activities in Pjatigorsk City

Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in Frankfurt Multicultural Parade and Win Second Prize

Downtown Frankfurt was bustling on Saturday June 26th as the Frankfurt Multicultural Parade was in full swing. More than one hundred organisations participated in the parade and it attracted tens of thousands of people to watch. The Falun Gong procession also won favourable praise from the president of the parade and was awarded the second prize. -
Czech Republic: Falun Gong Activities in Brno on International Day Against Torture

On International Day Against Torture, practitioners of Falun Gong from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Great Britain met in Brno, the capital of Moravia, to demonstrate the exercises in the main thoroughfare, Ceska Street, and to let the public know about the terrible persecution of Falun Gong practitioners currently taking place in China. -
Finland: Falun Gong Practitioners Condemn the Terrorist Act of Shooting Falun Gong Practitioners in South Africa by Appealing at the Chinese Embassy
2004-07-01A spokesperson for the Finnish Falun Dafa Association said in the appeal at the Chinese Embassy in Helsinki, “We believe that Zeng Qinghong and Bo Xilai are most likely behind this shooting incident. They are following closely Jiang Zemin’s orders to persecute and suppress Falun Gong by all means. The persecutors have committed terrible crimes against innocent people, both inside and outside China, and they are afraid that their crimes will be exposed to the world. This is a gross form of terrorism and persecution targeted directly at Falun Gong.” -
Latvia: Peaceful Appeal at the Chinese Embassy in Riga on World Anti-Torture Day

June the 26th was World Anti-Torture Day. Latvian practitioners called for a focus on torture and the various abuses inflicted on Falun Gong by the Jiang regime in China. Additionally, they called for the end of the persecution by appealing at the embassy for five consecutive days. Passers-by supported our campaign, and showed compassion for practitioners' suffering in China.
