He explained to the more than 300 students in German who were awestruck by what they heard, “We suffered sleep deprivation, had to perform hard labour and were fed awful food.” Even worse than the labour was the brainwashing he suffered. As he refused to renounce Falun Gong after having suffered all that, they tortured him until the moment he renounced Falun Gong in writing. 2007-12-14The report said that Reporters Without Borders (RSF) had affirmed that China was the world’s biggest prison of journalists, internet dissidents and people of free speech. Five representatives from RSF demonstrated in front of the Contact Office of the Central Government in Hong Kong. They set up a banner with the five circles of the Olympics changing into handcuffs to protest against China refusing to fulfill its promises to improve human rights and news freedom, which were made when it was bidding to host the Olympics. -
Norway: Falun Gong Practitioners Sing at a Christmas Concert in Bodo
2007-12-13On December 1st, 2007, a Christmas Concert was held by the Alle Kan Synge Koret singing group at the cathedral near the Town Hall in Bodo. Wang Yajun, a Falun Gong practitioner who took part in the New Tang Dynasty Television “International Chinese Vocal Competition”, was invited as a special guest at the concert. The host introduced how innocent Falun Gong practitioners were brutally persecuted in mainland China. -
Radio France International: Amnesty International Condemns the CCP for Failing to Keep its Promise to Improve Human Rights
2007-12-13On December 8th, 2007, French International Radio reported that Amnesty International condemned Beijing for failing to keep the promise of improving human rights that it made at the time of applying for the Olympics. The report said that Amnesty International condemned the Beijing Authorities for not keeping its promise of improving human rights. The Secretary-General of the International Amnesty German Branch said, "Striving for the holding rights of the Olympics in 2001, China made a promise of taking action to protect human rights and relax its examination system, but China rarely does things to realise its promises." -
Finland: Falun Gong Practitioners Support EU Parliament Public Hearing

In November, Falun Gong practitioners from Helsinki went to the Chinese Embassy to show support for the EU parliament inviting three China-based Falun Gong practitioners for a public hearing about China’s human rights.
