Anyong is a satellite city south of Seoul, with a population of over 600,000. From October 30th to November 5th, 2004, an art exhibition entitled "Uncompromising Courage" was held here. The exhibition was to introduce Falun Dafa and expose the cruel persecution being carried out in China. -
Hong Kong: Appeals Court Overturns Convictions for Obstruction, Practitioners to Take Case to Court of Final Appeal

On A Hong Kong Court of Appeal has overturned some of the charges against 16 practitioners for protesting outside China's liaison office in March 2002. Law Yuk-kai, chief secretary of the Hong Kong Human Rights Monitor, said that the ruling was very significant because it reaffirmed the right of the Hong Kong people to protest in public. -
Party Secretary of Gansu Province Is Barred from Leaving Zambia

Mr Su Rong, the Party secretary of Gansu Province was detained by Zambian Supreme Court on the afternoon of November 4th, 2004 after he and a Chinese Communist Party delegation paid an official visit to Zambia's Vice President Lupando Mwape. An information source claimed that Su Rong had to leave the delegation led by Mr. Wu Bangguo, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress (NPC) and stay in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, for a "special" weekend. -
The Epoch Times: Chinese Official a Fugitive in Zambia

On October 31st, 2004 a cultural celebration was held on Wolmi Island in Incheon, Korea. Many people come to tour the island every year as Wolmi island is near the west coast of Korea and has beautiful scenery. Practitioners held activities on the island to introduce Falun Dafa and expose the persecution taking place in China. -
United States: Falun Gong Draws a Lot of Attention at the Veterans Day Parade in San Francisco

On November 7th, Falun Gong practitioners from San Francisco area were once again invited to attend the annual "Veterans Day" Parade. Among the numerous parade processions composed of servicemen, Falun Gong practitioners' procession looked bright and colourful and gave people a very positive impression. -
New Zealand: Introducing Falun Dafa at a Multicultural Festival in Auckland

On October 30th, practitioners from Australia and New Zealand participated in a multicultural festival at the New Lynn District Community Centre. Taiwan: Waist-Drummers are the Centre of Attention at the Taipei International Carnival Parade

The 2004 Taipei International Carnival Parade was held on October 23rd in the NeiHu District, with more than 2,000 people participating in the event. Practitioners took part with a waist-drum troupe composed of 50 practitioners. Their bright yellow costumes and traditional drumming style was a centre of attention. -
A Message of Support and Encouragement from a Vice Principal

My son Liang told us that his school's vice principal, Ms Friss, had sent him a card. She included a letter in the card. In the letter, Ms Friss said that she just read about the Washington Youth Bike Ride to Chicago project, which Liang was involved in this past May, and that she was deeply touched, as Liang was willing to help the children of Falun Gong practitioners who are being persecuted in China. -

The City of Wichita has a large Chinese population. On October 30th, 2004, the Wichita Asian Association held the 24th Asian Culture Festival at Century II Convention Hall. Kansas practitioners participated in this festival, and their peaceful appearance and elegant exercise demonstration attracted a large audience. -
The Persecution of Falun Gong Outside China: Phone Tapping
2004-11-08Tapping the phones of Falun Gong practitioners outside of China by Chinese embassies is a common practice, as there are numerous cases to prove this, some of which are evidence in lawsuits against the former president of China Jiang Zemin and the Chinese embassies. The persecution of Falun Gong is obviously not limited to China; there are officials and staff of the Chinese embassies and consulates putting a large amount of effort into the monitoring of Falun Gong practitioners' phone conversations outside of China. -
Taiwan Minghui School Summer Camps Receive Warm Appreciation from All

Falun Gong practitioners from all over Taiwan organised many camps for young practitioners this past summer. The practitioners had carefully designed programs that would enable children to understand Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance through stories, studying the Fa and doing the exercises. -
USA: Introducing Falun Dafa at the Wisdom Festival in California

On October 23-24th, Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the Wisdom Festival in Concord California. Many people were very interested in Falun Dafa, and were surprised by the fact that Falun Gong is free of charge. The organiser of the festival provided practitioners with a designated time to formally introduce Falun Dafa to the festival participants.
