New Zealand Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Expresses Government's Concern over Reports of Human Rights Abuses against Falun Dafa Practitioners

On August the 23rd 2004, New Zealand Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Hon Phil Goff, expressed in a letter to Falun Gong practitioner that the New Zealand Government remains concerned at reports of human rights abuses against Falun Dafa practitioners, and that they continue to urge the Chinese Government to allow Falun Gong practitioners to follow their beliefs and practise their movements without restriction. -
United States:: Candlelight Vigil Held in Midtown Manhattan in New York to Call for Justice, Conscience and Courage

Nearly 1000 Falun Gong practitioners participated in the candlelight vigils. Thousands of dots of candlelight twinkled in the darkness of the night. The atmosphere was solemn but warm. Most practitioners wore yellow T-shirts and stood in orderly fashion. They looked peaceful and resolute. -

United States: "Great Wall of Courage" Calling for Help to Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong Held In Manhattan

On the 28th of August 2004, about 400 Falun Gong practitioners from across North America, Europe and Asia formed a "Great Wall of Courage" on Park Avenue in Manhattan, New York City. The "Great Wall of Courage" went from 45th Street to 59th Street. Yellow banners with blue words read, "Help Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong". -
United States: Falun Gong Practitioners Display Chinese Culture in Atlantic City's 150th Anniversary Celebration

This year is the 150th anniversary of Atlantic City, New Jersey. From March to September, the city government has arranged a series of large scale celebration activities. At 7pm on the 18th of August, Falun Gong practitioners in the Greater Philadelphia area were invited on the Boardwalk stage to perform Chinese cultural programs. -

Practitioners felt that they should help more residents learn about Falun Dafa, so some practitioners who are members of a waist drum troupe went to the downtown area, where they found a concert taking place. The Falun Gong Society from National Central University in Taiwan held a Minghui Parent and Child Summer Camp at the university. Attendees were faculty members, residents of Chongli together with some other people. More than 40 children registered. For many of them, it was the first time they had come across Falun Dafa.
