Australia: Introducing Falun Gong during Australia's Biggest Jogging and Walking Activity

On August 8, 2004, several dozen Falun Gong practitioners in Sydney introduced Falun Gong during the "Sun-Herald City to Surf" jogging and walking activity. This event is one of the world's largest unofficial jogging and walking activities. Each year, more than 60,000 Australian people attend the event. -
Taiwan: The First Falun Dafa Study Camp Is Held for College and High School Students

On July the 31st and August the 1st, 2004, the first college and high-school students Falun Dafa Study Camp was held in Taiwan's Jiaotung University. More than 50 students from colleges and high schools learned about the practice of Falun Dafa in the three-day activities. The participants all had a good time and felt it was very successful. -

On August the 6th, 2004, the Taiwanese "Rescue the Children Being Persecuted" Bike Trip started off with a press conference in front of the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial. Many people, were invited to the conference to call attention to children's human rights and to help stop the persecution of children who practice Falun Dafa in China, who face loss of school, parents and family. -

At the invitation of the Casey Winter Arts Festival organising committee, a group of nearly twenty Falun Gong practitioners in Melbourne came to the Cranbourne Community Theatre, located in the suburb of Casey, on the evening of the 31st of July, 2004, to participate in the closing event of a festival that lasted the entire month of July, Winter Solstice, an evening of song and dance. -
United States: Update On the Chicago Hate Crime Lawsuit

After the two criminals who beat up a Falun Gong practitioner who was staging a hunger strike in front of the Chinese Consulate in Chicago in 2001 pleaded guilty in the criminal case, they were recently served with a civil lawsuit, seeking compensation. They were accused of multiple charges, including assault and conspiracy. Since the Circuit Court for Cook County accepted this civil lawsuit on September 2003, there have been a number of hearings, and the two sides will soon meet in court as the case proceeds. -
Korea: National Car Tour to Introduce Falun Gong Begins

During the summer, a lot of Korean citizens and tourists visit the beaches across the Korean coastline. Korean Falun Gong practitioners used this opportunity and held an anti torture exhibition, photo exhibition, and demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises on the beach. -

A Taiwanese Falun Gong practitioner went to Nepal to introduce Falun Dafa for the first time in July 2003. The practitioner talked with many people about Falun Dafa and established a regular practice site where people can find out more about Falun Gong and learn the exercises at Kathmandu's largest bookstore. -

On July 31 and August 1, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners in Sydney held a live mock torture exhibition to provide more people with an opportunity to learn about the brutal persecution of innocent people who believe in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." The exhibition was held in a public park in front of City Hall, near the local shopping centre, where a stream of people continuously passed by. -
