• The Inhuman Persecution Endured by Practitioner Ms. Liu Jinying from Laishui County, Hebei Province

  Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Jinying is 42 years old. During the last five years and three months, Ms. Liu has been held in custody in Laishui, and spent time in Laishui Detention Centre, the Women's Prison of Shijiazhuang City, and Taihang Prison. To protest the persecution, Ms. Liu went on hunger strikes many times. The guards tortured her with all means available. They took her to a hospital and force-fed her flour soup. They injected soup into her mouth while pinching her nose to stop her from breathing. When she couldn't hold her breath any more, she swallowed. The third time, they used a bamboo stick to pry open her teeth. After they failed to pry open her teeth, they inserted a rubber tube into her nose. The first time, they inserted the tube into her trachea. The force-feeding lasted over a month.

• Crimes Committed by Policewomen in Nanjing Women's Prison in Jiangsu Province

  From 2003 to 2004, Huang Fengying exhausted various methods to torture Falun Gong practitioners. Claiming herself an atheist, she used two people who used to practise Falun Gong but later turned against Falun Gong under brainwashing and torture -Wang Xiaoqing and Dong Jing. They tortured practitioner Huang Lijun until she was near death. They kicked and beat her up. Dong Jing kicked her private parts. One time Huang Fengying locked Huang Lijun alone in the police office and shocked her all over with electric batons. Upon returning to her cell, Huang Lijun lost control of her bladder and bowels.

• Three Practitioners from Mengyin County, Shandong Province Persecuted

  On the night of April 28th, 2001, a gang led by Zhao Hongfeng raided practitioner Mrs. Lei Guiling home. They extorted 300 yuan from her and arrested her and took her to the township office. On the night of the 29th, a dozen hooligans covered the heads of 14 to 15 practitioners and kicked them to the floor. Each thug used a rubber stick and together they hit Lei Guiling. When she lost consciousness, they poured cold water on her to rouse her. They laughed loudly when they saw the practitioners in pain. Lv Hu dragged Ms. Lei into a small room. For six days, they denied her food, water and the freedom to move. Police officers from the substation handcuffed her hands behind her back to a pole and kept her out in the strong sunlight. Only after extorting 2000 yuan did they release her.

• Wang Gang Attempts to Sue Baoding City Prison in Hebei Province for Torture and Consequent Amputation of His Leg

  In order to "transform" me and force me to give up my belief in cultivating Falun Dafa, defendant Gao Yin ordered policemen and inmates to abuse and torture me using various devices. In particular, he ordered defendant Fan Jianli to use torture devices on me, causing injuries that eventually led to my leg being amputated. I was forced to see Fan in the monitoring cell. I couldn't stand due to the pain in my legs so I had to crawl into the monitoring cell. Fan insisted that I stand up and walk into the cell, so I had to crawl in and out of the cell three times. Even so Fan continued to hit me and stomp on me. A medical checkup later showed that the blood vessels, bones, and muscles in my leg had become necrotic. If it wasn't amputated immediately, the toxins would attack my heart and my life would be in danger. Gao Yin forced me to submit to the amputation.

• The Brutal Persecution of Mr. Zhao Lanyi from Shandong Province

  Once when Mr. Zhao Lanyi went to distribute leaflets exposing the persecution to a village he was beaten by four men who were deceived by the lies of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). As they were kicking Mr. Zhao, a fifth person said, "Falun Gong practitioners are good people. They don't do bad things, but [only] good things." They didn't listen, but dragged him away. They then took off Mr. Zhao's belt and used it to whip him all over his body. One man hit Mr. Zhao's ribs and chest. Their hands were injured from beating Mr. Zhao, and they tried to frame him by accusing him of biting them. Mr. Zhao replied, "Our Teacher teaches me to not fight back when punched or insulted. We are doing the right thing and are good people." They continued to beat Mr. Zhao for over an hour.

• The Persecution Experienced by A Common Family

  I went to Beijing to petition for my fundamental rights to practise Dafa. I was arrested and sent to Longshan Correctional Centre, where the guards were full of abusive words. One day a TV reporter came, and we were told to sit in a line in the corridor, while a supervisor told the reporter how good the conditions were, how Falun Gong practitioners were treated like sisters, and how we liked the place. I said to the supervisor, "You just said you treated us as you did to your loved ones, but how come you often beat us and yell at us? Look at what you did to Aunt Yuan Zeqin, who's sitting right next to me. She is over 70 and her ribs were all broken." At that moment, the reporter switched off his camera.

• Chongqing Falun Dafa Practitioners Arrested, Sentenced to Prison for Printing Informational Materials

  Mr. Deng Liang, 33 years old, began the practice of Falun Dafa in 1997. His diligence and kindness at work won him the award of "Top 10 Best Trained Attendants." When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, Mr. Deng created and distributed large quantities of materials exposing the persecution. In July 2004 he was arrested. During the first 24 hours, the police deprived him of sleep and did not provide any food. In addition, he was not allowed to use the toilet, but was forced to sit still on tiny stools. A fabricated crime of "Destruction of the Country's Execution of the Law" was used to sentence Deng Liang and Wang Jinfei to seven years in prison. Due to the persecution, Deng now suffers vision problems and almost went blind.

• The Abuse of Practitioners at the Chongqing City Women's Forced Labour Camp: A Personal Account

  Between August 2005 and July 2006 I was detained in the Chongqing Women's Forced Labour Camp. They immediately tell new detainees the camp rules, which are implemented right away. One is given a deadline to memorise the rules and regulations, and has to read and memorise the regulation books. They call it "Militarised Management." One has to pass a three-month-long "discipline" probation period; otherwise they will extend the lock-up time and intensify the discipline. During those three-months, one has to get up at 5:30 a.m., spend not more than 10 minutes on personal hygiene and then commence with the "discipline," which lasts until midnight.

• Unyielding After Three Years of Forced Labour, Mr. Li Xuejin from Dalian City Arrested Once Again

  In 2001, Mr. Li Xuejin was arrested at a relative's home because he practised Falun Dafa. During his detention he resisted the demands of his captors but was subjected to various tortures and was later sentenced to three years of forced labour. Li Xuejin was tortured with various methods including "wearing a boxing cap," and the “death bed” torture. He was also exposed to temperatures of minus 10 degrees Celsius (14°F) while wearing only his underwear, for an entire day. On February 6th, 2007, Li Xuejin was arrested once again by officials and sent to a detention centre.

• Chief Justice Xiao Wanxiang Tries Many Practitioners at Hongkou District Court (Shanghai)

  On February 1st, 2007, Shanghai City 610 Office agents ordered the chief justice of the Shanghai Hongkou District Court to bring Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Jiang Suying to trial. Ms. Jiang was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. As a chief justice, Xiao Wanxiang had also presided over the trials of four other practitioners in Shanghai on April 11th, 2005. On that occasion, Ms. Zhou Shumei was sentenced to six years, Ms. Liu Fendi to seven years, and Ms. Hua Liping to three years in prison, while Ms. Wu Peiyu was given three years of probation. In addition, on January 11th, 2007, he put Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Guan Longmei, a resident of Hongkou District, on trial and sentenced her to seven years in prison.

• More Information About the Persecution of Practitioner Ms. Li Kemei

  Ms. Li Kemei was reported to the police by someone when Ms. Li was informing people about the true nature of Falun Gong about the persecution on October 15th, 2006. She was detained at the Yishui County Detention Centre. The next day, a police officer named Yao forced Ms. Li to wear a placard that identified her as a criminal around her neck. Ms. Li did not cooperate with him at all and said, “There is nothing wrong with Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, and reciting Falun Dafa is good.” Without saying anything, the police officer came forward to give Ms. Li Kemei several slaps, and kicked her in the chest several times. At the end, two police officers held Ms. Li up and forced her to have a photo taken before they forced her to give her fingerprints. When Ms. Li refused, the police officers gave her several slaps.

• Exposing the Crimes Committed by Prison Guards in Nanhu Forced Labour Camp in Anhui Province

  The Jiaozhi Division of Nanhu Forced Labour Camp in Anhui Province is detaining more than 30 Falun Gong practitioners. The officials of the labour camp have one guard to watch over each practitioner, putting practitioners under surveillance 24 hours a day. The practitioners are beaten, deprived of sleep, forced to stand for long periods, confined in a solitary compartment, and made to put on tightened hats. The prison guards recently organised "helpers" to forcefully brainwash and "transform" practitioners, using extreme pressure, and completely isolate and watch over them. Practitioner Mr. Lu Qinghai was confined in a solitary compartment and forced to put on the tightened hat for a long time because he firmly believes in Falun Dafa and refused to cooperate with the unreasonable demands of the guards.

• Nine Falun Dafa Practitioners Held Past Their Term in the Sanhe Detention Centre, Hebei Province

  The Sanhe Detention Centre in Hebei Province is a den of evil where Falun Dafa practitioners are persecuted. So many practitioners have suffered from savage persecution there, and so many unforgivable crimes have been committed there during the past seven years. The most recent round of arrests began as of February 25th, 2006. Officers from the “610 Office” and from the National Security Bureau arrested more than 20 Falun Dafa practitioners and non-practitioners. Four practitioners were released after one year in a forced labour camp, however nine aare still being held.

• Witness Recalls Crimes at Baimalong Forced Labour Camp (Hunan Province) that Led to the Deaths of Several Practitioners

  Ms. Cao Jianzhen, 50 years old, weighed 62 kilograms (137 pounds) when she was first taken to the forced labour camp and imprisoned there. After suffering numerous tortures, she weighed only 47 kilograms (104 pounds). The guards frequently beat and kicked Ms. Cao, and broke three of her ribs and injured some of her internal organs. As a result of the torture, she vomited pus and blood. When she was unable to eat, the guards dragged her off to be force-fed. In addition, they attempted to brainwash her by forcing her to watch slanderous videotapes against Dafa. Ms. Cao was so injured that she could not sit up or stand. Once she lay down she could not get up. She was taken back to her hometown when the authorities found out she was dying. Ms. Cao Jianzhen died soon after she was taken home.

• Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Xi Zhaojun Held at Kangbao County Detention Centre (Hebei Province) - His Life Is in Danger

  Falun Dafa practitioners Xi Zhaojun and Zhang Decai were explaining the facts of Falun Dafa to people in Gaojiagou Village, Kangbao County on February 24th, 2007. The village Party secretary saw them and called the police. Some police officers took the two practitioners to the police department. They handcuffed them, and one officer kicked practitioner Zhang Decai until he fell to the ground. The officers stripped both practitioners naked and brutally beat them. They then ordered them to get dressed and took them to the Kangbao County Detention Centre where they ordered the inmates to beat them. Police department head Hao Yanfei screamed, "The police department is where beatings take place!"
