Jidong Prison in Hebei Province Denies Visits by Mr. Wei Haiwu's Wife and Subjects Her to Brutal Mistreatment
2007-03-23
The Xinshi District Court sentenced Mr. Wei Haiwu to four years in prison. He is currently in Jidong Prison in Tangshan City and has been hunger striking to resist the persecution. In an attempt to brainwash him into renouncing Falun Gong, prison guards subjected him to sleep deprivation, forcing him to stand for long periods of time and slapping him on the face. He has suffered both mentally and physically. For the past six months, his wife has requested to visit him, but the guards denied her each time because she too practises Falun Gong. -
610 Office Police Again Arrest Ms. Wang Shupei from Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province
2007-03-23At the beginning of 2004, authorities arrested Ms. Wang when she went to a brainwashing centre to ask for the release of practitioners in captivity. The “610 Office” in Zhaoyuan sentenced her to a six-year term of imprisonment. They put her in the Women’s Prison of Shandong Province and severely tortured her both physically and mentally. Two years later, Wang Shupei developed a malignant tumour in her uterus and her life was in danger. She was then allowed to be hospitalised outside the prison in early July 2006. Recently she was arrested again. -
A Winter Story -- Recalling the Brutality at Longshan Forced Labour Camp in Shenyang, Liaoning Province
2007-03-23In December 2003, my wife was arrested and taken to Shenyang City's Longshan Forced Labour Camp for believing in Falun Gong. In freezing wind, with the crunching sound of snow, I went to visit her in the labour camp. The wind was blowing and the labour camp was in dead silence. I was allowed to see my wife because it was near New Year's day. I sat across from her in the dining hall with over a dozen police surrounding us. She was very bony with a face swollen due to the torture. I asked about the tortures and my heart broke. Where is the wrong in believing in Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance? Where is the wrong in being a good person? At that time I saw practitioner Gao Rongrong from a distance. She was later was tortured to death. She was also very bony. -
Mr. Zhao Wenpeng Died from Persecution at Guiyang City, Guizhou Province Police Hospital; Elderly Practitioner Ms. Yin Deqin Still Under Persecution
2007-03-22Mr. Zhao Wenpeng was arrested by police in August 2006. They threatened Zhao, telling him to not practise Falun Gong anymore. In the detention centre, Zhao Wenpeng suffered all kinds of brutal torture. In just a few months, he developed oedema all over his body. Torture also left a big wound on the side of Mr. Zhao's left thigh, which continually oozed pus. Zhao Wenpeng was transferred to the Guiyang City Police Hospital for what was called "treatment" by the authorities. The so-called "treatments" of injections and drugs only made Zhao Wenpeng's health deteriorate more rapidly. Even under such severe conditions, the officials still sentenced Zhao Wenpeng to forced labour camp for two or three years without a trial. On March 7th, 2007, Mr. Zhao Wenpeng died in the police hospital as a result of the brutal persecution he suffered. -
Two Hundred Relatives Plan to Sue Police after Practitioner Fu Zhenmin is Arrested in Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province
2007-03-22When driving his own car on February 8th, Mr. Fu Zhenmin was reported to police by villagers and arrested . On February 25th, with no trial or evidence, Tong and Sun sentenced Fu Zhenmin to one year of forced-labour in Wanjia Forced Labour Camp on the grounds of "spreading Falun Gong material", which he did not. Fu Zhenmin's relatives are very concerned about his safety and protest his unjust imprisonment. They plan to sue police officers for knowingly violating the law. -
Practitioner Mr. Lu Zhiyong Suffers Brutal Torture in Xinhua Forced Labour Camp in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province
2007-03-22Mr. Lu Zhiyong has been arrested and detained many times in the past seven years. Presently, he is still being held in Xinhua Forced Labour Camp in Mianyang City. He is skin and bones. He is 1.78 metres tall, but due to the gross abuse his weight has fallen to less than 50 kg. According to an insider, the camp officials often use rubber sticks covered with long sharp nails to beat “stubborn” practitioners for more than 40 minutes at a time. There is not a single square inch of skin left intact on the practitioner after such a beating. They often refuse to give the practitioners food, purposely starving them. They also put unknown substances in practitioners’ food, which made Lu Zhiyong become severely bloated. -
Authorities in Yongchang County, Gansu Province Intensify Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners
2007-03-22In early 2007, the police in Yongchang County, Gansu Province, held a special conference to organise a county-wide persecution of Falun Gong. They arranged for all the local businesses within their jurisdiction to establish a working group under the county secretary of the Chinese Communist Party to direct the persecution. They ordered every village to produce and publicise anti-Falun Gong posters at their own expense. In addition, the police had the villages assign night-duty to special officers who would be responsible for arresting practitioners who distributed leaflets exposing the persecution. County Governor Meng Youzhu stated that if they did not eliminate the “problem” of Falun Gong, no one would receive a promotion. -
Practitioner Mr. Yang Xiaoguang Suffers Brutal Persecution at the Mudanjiang Prison in Heilongjiang Province
2007-03-21In March 2003, Mr. Yang Xiaoguang was sent to the Mudanjiang Prison. In October 2004, Yang Xiaoguang proclaimed that he was going to publicly practise the exercises, and was subsequently imprisoned in a small isolation cell. In the cell, Yang suffered inhumane torture. Every time policeman Song finished his shift and his beer, he would brutally beat Yang. One night he gave Yang three beatings in succession. Yang was beaten so badly that his face became deformed and he was temporarily blinded. -
Exposing the Persecution Carried Out by Jixian County Police in Heilongjiang Province
2007-03-21Only four days after I began Dafa cultivation in 2001, I informed a young local policeman about the true nature of Falun Gong in front of a police station. I was arrested and detained at the police station. Policemen there ordered me to point out Dafa practitioners from a group of people, but I did not cooperate with them. As a result, the police grabbed my hair and slammed my head into a wall. Later I was again detained. They tortured me by having me sit on a wooden stool for a long time without changing positions or sleeping. Otherwise, I would be beaten. My buttocks hurt and became numb from the prolonged sitting. -
The Persecution of Two Dafa Practitioners in Chongqing City
2007-03-21On September 4th, 2001, I was arrested and sent to Beipei Detention Centre. I was stripped naked for inspection upon arrival. At the detention centre, the police forced me to clean the toilet every day. I was forced to brush the toilet with a toothbrush and touch the filth with my hands. I had to do this every morning, noon and evening. My hands and feet festered after being soaked in dirty fluid for too long. In addition, all of the practitioners were forced to fold one thousand paper packaging boxes every day. We could not go to sleep before finishing the work. -
Two Older Dafa Practitioners from Xinjin County, Sichuan Province Are Persecuted
2007-03-21In December 2000, because 65-year-old Ms. Li Yueying went to Beijing to appeal and she spoke out for justice for Dafa, she was arrested and imprisoned in an unknown place. There were several hundred Dafa practitioners being imprisoned there. All were forcibly body-searched. Anyone who did not obey was mercilessly beaten. When a female police officer beat Ms. Li, she informed her about the true nature of Falun Gong, but she did not listen and continued the beating. After Ms. Li Yueying was imprisoned for three days, she returned home. However, the Xinjin Police Station, attempted to extort money from her. They ordered her eldest son to hand over 30,000 yuan. -
Luan Fusheng's Life Is in Danger Due to Persecution; Qi County Jail in Shanxi Province Still Refuses to Release Him
2007-03-2155-year-old Mr. Luan Fusheng is imprisoned at Qi County Jail in Shanxi Province. Because of the cruel physical and mental torture and adverse living conditions in jail, Luan Fusheng's health condition has constantly worsened. Recently he was taken to hospital for emergency treatment. This is already the third time that the hospital has issued a critical condition notice for him, but the jail still refuses to release him with the excuse that releasing him on bail for medical treatment has not been approved yet. On July 7th, 2003, Wanbolin District Court in Taiyuan City sentenced Luan Fusheng to eleven years of imprisonment because he printed Falun Gong materials. -
Police from Longmen Police Station in Longjing City, Yanbian State, Jilin Province Torture an Older Practitioner and Claim, "We Will Harvest Organs from Anyone Who Does Not Obey" (Photos)
2007-03-20On January 11th, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioners Piao Guangxun, Li Hongyuan, and Shen Xueshan from Chaoyang River in Yanbian State, Jilin Province were arrested while informing people about the true nature of Falun Gong in a countryside village. They were brutally interrogated at the Longmen Police Station. Falun Dafa practitioner Piao Guangxun could no longer move due to being beaten for an entire night. On January 12th, an older female Falun Dafa practitioner was arrested in a neighboring building. The police kicked and tortured this older woman until she lost consciousness and nearly died. One of her ribs and a toe were broken. The police also yelled, "To anyone who does not obey, we will have their organs harvested." They also shouted, "Why don't you die? Go to hell. We will say you died due to falling down the stairs yourself." -
Practitioner Ms. Ou Xiangyuan of Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province Died from Torture in 2003

After the the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to persecute Falun Dafa on July 20th, 1999, Ms. Ou Xiangyuan, 53, wanted to appeal for Dafa. Police officers arrested her on her way to Beijing in December 2000, and then detained her at Shanhaiguan Detention Centre. The guards shackled Ms. Ou's hands behind her back, then hung her from the ceiling by her hands until her limbs were numb and she lost consciousness. Ms. Ou lost consciousness many times from the torture she suffered. Then the police imprisoned her at home. Ms. Ou died in hospital on April 23rd, 2003. -
Doctor Approves Further Beatings After Practitioner Is Already Badly Injured
2007-03-20Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lei Xin taught at the Taoxu Town Elementary School in Mengyin County, Shandong Province. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong at the end of 1999 and was arrested. . She was held at the Mengyin Detention Centre. Because Ms. Lei did the Falun Gong exercises she was forced to wear 80-lb shackles. She was arrested again in March 2000. Eight people took turns beating Ms. Lei and struck her to the ground several times. They forced her to remove her shoes and socks and stand barefoot on the floor before they continued the beating. A policeman dragged her to a doctor and asked him whether Lei Xin could tolerate more beating. Shockingly, the doctor said, "More beating is just fine!"
