Practitioner Mr. Zhou Jiangang Paralysed after Torture in Qinduankou Prison in Wuhan, Hubei Province

On November 2nd, 2006 when practitioner Mr. Zhou Jiangang was taken from the Hongshan Hospital back to Qinduankou Prison in Hubei Province, his entire body was was paralysed except for his eyes and mouth. The prison isolated Mr. Zhou from other inmates, and the guards refused to allow Mr. Zhou's wife and relatives to visit him. In the beginning of 2007, prison authorities had made a false video record of Mr. Zhou so that they could deceive his family members and cover up the crimes they committed against Mr. Zhou, causing his paralysis. -
The Cruel Persecution of Qian Shiguang, a Senior Engineer from the Northwest Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development in Gansu Province
2007-01-27On June 2nd, 2002, Mr Qian Shiguang went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and was subsequently arrested, sentenced to two years of forced labour and detained in Beijing’s Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp, where he was brutally tortured. The guards incited criminal inmates to beat his face with fly swatters and a wooden baton. The thugs forced Mr. Qian's head into the toilet bowl and made him drink the water, they pulled hair from his beard and eyebrows, and they occasionally threw him into the urinal area of the toilet, soaking him with urine and toilet water. The guards forced criminals to take Mr. Qian outside at night, stripping off his clothes and pouring cold water over him, and then covering his body with snow. -
Doctor Liu Xiaorong in Critical Condition after Eleven Month Hunger Strike in Hebei Province Women's Prison
2007-01-26In May 2001, Ms Liu Xiaorong refused to be "transformed". In the Shijiazhuang Second Prison, the guards used forced labour as an excuse to instigate four prisoners to drag her and another practitioner by their hair and hands, face down. The practitioners were dragged and kicked from the third floor to the bottom floor. Then they were dragged across several metres of a concrete road to a workshop. The prisoners used very dirty rags stained with excrement to stuff in their mouths, rendering them unable to talk. Ms. Liu Xiaorong is now detained at the women's prison in Hebei Province. It is now 11 months into her hunger strike and her weight has dropped to 55 kilogrammes. -
216 Persecution-Related Deaths of Falun Gong Practitioners Verified in 2006
2007-01-2651-year-old Ms. Zhang Yunzhi began to practise Falun Dafa in October 1998. She never wavered in her belief in Falun Dafa, persisted in the practice, and also appealed for Dafa in Beijing. She was arrested five times and brutally tortured. After the first four arrests she was able to break free. After the fifth arrest, however, the police beat her until she nearly died. Her entire body became swollen and fluid oozed from her legs. Eventually she died from severe internal organ damage as a result of the beatings. -
A Gongzhuling City Tricycle Driver Tortured Until Unconscious
2007-01-26While Mr. Wang Yancai was parking his tricycle on November 24th, 2006, the police were arresting Falun Gong practitioners. He was also arrested for no reason and sent to the Dongsan Police Station in Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province. The police handcuffed him and forced him to admit he was a Falun Gong practitioner. Police beat and kicked him during their interrogation. When he was sent to the detention centre, Yu Bo and Deputy Chief Yang Dashuai beat him again, and he was again rendered unconscious. Police had two detainees burn Mr. Wang Yancai’s fingers with lighters, trying to see if he was still alive. -
Supplementary Information on the Persecution of Mr. Feng Bingkun and Ms. Tang Jinai from Zengcheng City, Guangdong Province
2007-01-26In February 2005, practitioner Mr. Feng Bingkun was arrested by the police. In May 2005, the court in Zengcheng City sentenced him to three years and five months in jail. According to Chinese law, when a person is sentenced, local police must give the verdict to the family so that family members can go see the person in prison. But the local police dared not deliver the verdict to Mr. Feng Bingkun's family. They were afraid of leaving evidence of their illegal persecution. The family only received a short letter from Mr. Feng in March 2006, during the first two years while he was in prison. All the goods and letters the family had sent to him at the address on his letter were returned. -
Mr. Wu Youchui Sentenced to Three Years in Prison for Telling People "Falun Dafa Is Good"
2007-01-26Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wu Youchui is in his 50s. Mr. Wu and his wife started cultivating Falun Dafa in 1998 and both became mentally and physically healthy. He was arrested by policemen from Boxi District Police Department in Cangzhou City simply because he told people that Falun Dafa is good. He was detained for eight months in the Cangzhou City Second Detention Centre and was sentenced to three years in prison, which is a very heavy term. -
Mr Liu Yongwang Persecuted and on Verge of Death in Jidong Prison in Hebei Province
2007-01-25Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Yongwang, 34, was tortured in Baoding Forced Labour Camp. After Mr. Liu Yongwang's left leg became crippled from the severe torture, he was transferred to Tangshan Forced Labour Camp where he suffered further persecution. He went on a hunger strike to protest his unjust treatment and was brutally force-fed. Mr. Liu describes the force-feeding: "I could only breath through my mouth. As I was breathing deeply, a spoonful of liquid was forced down my throat. I felt like I was being held under water and choked. It was a mixture of powdered milk and salt. I feared being murdered. A large portion of liquid had entered my lungs." -
Cases of Torture against Practitioners in the Qingyang Area, Gansu Province
2007-01-25In March 2000, Ms. He Xuemei, 52 years old, went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. Police sent her back to herlocal police station. Officer Miao beat and kicked Ms. He, and sent her to the Xifeng Detention Centre. They detained her there for one month. Police tried to force her to write a "guarantee statement" to renounce Falun Gong. She refused and police officers brutally beat her. Miao punched Ms. He in the face more than 30 times and smashed her head against the wall many times. She passed out frequently. In the end, the police locked her in the Xifeng Drug Rehabilitation Centre for 15 days. During that time, the government authorities incited Ms. He's husband to divorce her. -
Practitioners Persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Wuwei City, Gansu Province

Ms. Dong Jinlan was persecuted to death. In Wuwei City, in recent years, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents have perscuted six practitioners to death, looted more than one million yuan from practitioners, sentenced thirty practitioners to prison and another thirty-seven to forced labour camps. Countless stereos, TVs, washing machines and other electronic devices were confiscated from their homes. -
Forced to Become Destitute and Homeless for Three Years, Mr. Xu Jingwen's Family of Three from Gansu Province Arrested
2007-01-25In mid-December 2006, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xu Jingwen and his son, Xu Changfeng, 19 years old, were arrested at home by local police and their belongings confiscated. The approximately 9000 yuan that the family had borrowed from relatives to pay for the eldest son's wedding was also taken. Afterwards, the police arrested Mr. Xu's wife, Ms. Xu Guixiang, and sent this family of three to the Yongchang County Detention Centre in Jinchang City. Prior to this, Mr. Xu Jingwen and his wife had been forced to become destitute and homeless for three years to avoid arrest. -
Dafa Practitioner Tan Haiyan from Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province Suffers Brutal Abuse
2007-01-25On July 20th, 2006, during the lunch hour, Dafa practitioner Tan Haiyan, who was held in Panzhihua Detention Centre, shouted three times: "Falun Dafa is good!" Guard Zeng Xiaomin yelled at the inmates who resided with Tan: "Why didn’t you cover her mouth?" Guard Zeng Xiaomin used the "implication method" to punish everyone, including an inmate who has heart disease, by forcing them to stand from noon till three in the afternoon. Guard Zeng Xiaomin instigated each inmate to beat Tan Haiyan in turn, and whoever refused to do so would be punished by her. She also forced inmates to cover Tan Haiyan’s mouth with a dirty mop. -
Judge in Shanghai's New Pudong District Court Refuses to Allow Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zeng Aihua's Lawyer to Review Case Files
2007-01-24On January 20th, under instructions from the 610 Office, the New Pudong District People's Court in Shanghai City openly broke the law and refused Mr. Zeng Aihua's lawyer the right to look up his case files, which caused his lawyer to be unable to prepare his defence. Mr. Zeng is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Hong Kong and was unjustly charged. The judge in charge of his case also refused to answer phone calls from Zeng Aihua's lawyer and family members. -
Three Falun Gong Practitioners from Beijing, Hebei Province and Liaoning Province Died as a Result of Persecution
2007-01-24Ms. Guo Jianju, 56, was detained and subjected to persecution several times because she persisted in doing Falun Gong exercises outdoors after the persecution began on July 20th, 1999. On April 18th, 2000, she was sentenced to one year of imprisonment in a forced labour camp. On October 28th, 2002, police arrested her again and she was sentenced to two and a half years in a forced labour camp, where sustained physical injuries. The long period of suffering finally caused her mental collapse. She died on November 26th, 2006. -
Three Practitioners Arrested on the Jinan City Railway and Sentenced to Forced Labour
2007-01-24Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Wang Yingwei, Ms. Li Guang, Ms. Li Xiaoyan and Ms. Zhou Yingchun were arrested on the evening of December 13th, 2006 by the chief of the Jinzhou City Railway Policemen Department, when they spoke out for justice and explained the facts about Falun Dafa to passengers on the train. They were detained at Jinan City Railway Detention Centre for about a month. At present, Ms. Li Guang has been sentenced to two years of forced labour, Ms. Li Xiaoyan sentenced to eighteen months , and Ms. Zhou Yingchun has been sentenced to two years. They are being detained in Shandong Province, at the First Women's Labour Camp.
