Practitioner Mr. Jiang Guilin Brutally Beaten by Police from Jilin City - Family's Release Request Denied

On August 9th 2005, when Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Jiang Guilin was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution, someone reported him to the police. The police brutally beat Mr. Jiang and tried to find out the source of the materials. He did not answer any of their questions. As a result of the beating, Jiang's teeth loosened and blood covered his trousers and hat. -
Five Practitioners Die as a Result of Persecution in Shandong, Hebei, and Henan Provinces
2005-08-30Ms. Sun Yuqiu was a 58-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner living in Shandong Province. On December 22nd 1999, her daughter, sister, and brother-in-law, plus several other Dafa practitioners, went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practise Falun Dafa. On the way there, they were arrested and detained. They suffered brutal beatings and were paraded through the streets like criminals. On top of this, each of them had to pay ten thousand yuan for being kept in captivity. Sun Yuqiu and her husband, plus about 100 other practitioners, were also detained by the village commission for three days and three nights. They all encountered cruel beatings and torture. Sun Yuqiu was forced to watch her daughter being tortured in public. At the same time, Ms. Sun and her husband were also threatened by the officials and forced to pay over 2,000 yuan. After suffering all kinds of serious physical and mental torture, Ms. Sun was released, but by that time she was already in a coma. She died 9 days after she went home. -
Six Practitioners from Hunan, Guangdong, Hebei and Other Provinces Persecuted to Death
2005-08-3072-year-old Ms. Long Xiangyun was a practitioner from Hunan Province. In June 2000, she went to Beijing to explain the truth of Falun Dafa with her own experience and was unlawfully arrested then transferred to her home city and fined 2,000 yuan. Afterwards, officials from the local "610 Office" and the police often harassed her at home. Her husband stopped her from practising the exercises and studying the Falun Dafa books because he was afraid of being fined repeatedly. Ms. Long Xiangyun's previous heart disease recurred and she passed away in August of 2001. -
The Situation of Three Incarcerated Practitioners from Shuangcheng City (Photos)
2005-08-30In January 2001 Ms. Wang Shuzhi was detained at a detention centre in Shuangcheng City and fined 1000 yuan. In May of the same year, Wang Shuzhi was arrested at a Falun Dafa Experience-Sharing Conference. She was then detained at the same Detention Centre and was severely tortured. After being released from the detention centre, her husband divorced her under psychological and financial pressure from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). A warm family was thus broken. -
Supplemental Facts Regarding Ms Li Baojie's Death
2005-08-29Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Baojie suffered severe persecution and died as a result. Her family members cried until their tears ran dry. Her death caused her mother, who is in her 70s, to grieve terribly, leaving her in an emaciated condition after less than three months. After being tortured to the verge of death, she was sent to hospital. The labour camp officials refused to give permission for Li Baojie to undergo a life-saving operation so her husband rented an ambulance to take her to another hospital, but she died on the way at the age of 33. -
Horrifying Conditions in Jilin Prison's "Naked District"
2005-08-29Mr. Yang Guang, 50, is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Changchun. Because of his steadfast belief, he was severely persecuted, and became paralysed from the waist down from a cruel torture used to extort evidence from him. He is currently being held in Jilin Prison's "naked district," where inmates are forbidden to wear trousers all year long. He suffers humiliation and misery in the company of psychotic, disabled inmates. -

2005-08-29My wife, Wu Yanxia, was a loyal Chinese Communist Party (CCP) member. However, when the CCP tried to force her to give up her beliefs, her conscience overcame her loyalty to the Party and she said "No" to the CCP. As a result she was immediately relegated to a different class of people in the eyes of the authorities. She lost her freedom to visit her relatives and friends. The police and neighbours constantly harassed her family. Our house was broken into and her computer searched. She was followed wherever she went and her telephone line was tapped. She was arrested and taken to a brainwashing centre many times, and she lost all of her freedom. -
Ms. Liu Ying Injected with Unknown Drugs at the People's Hospital in Chengdu City
2005-08-29Ms. Liu Ying is a Dafa practitioner who was subjected to cruel persecution at the Qingyang People's Hospital, where she was repeatedly injected with unidentified drugs until her health was in danger. She experienced weakness, dizziness, nausea and some other adverse effects. Many practitioners sent to this hospital were force-fed and injected with drugs, which damaged their central nervous systems. The hospital then released her on July 19th because they were afraid of being held responsible for their crimes. -
Mudanjiang Practitioner Mr Ning Jun Dies after Suffering Repeated Torture
2005-08-28Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Ning Jun steadfastly practised Falun Dafa and exposed the truth of the persecution. He was unjustly held in a detention centre, a brainwashing centre and a forced labour camp and was brutally tortured. Later, he was sentenced to five years of imprisonment and persecuted in Mudanjiang Prison. Although he was released on bail for medical treatment and died on August 12th 2005. -
Practitioner Xing Jiaqiu Tortured by Guards and Inmates in Shenyang Prison

Under the instigation of team leaders, inmates repeatably assaulted him. Li Suan found a shovel, then the inmates pressed him down and took off his trousers. They stepped on him and held down his head, arms and legs, while Li Suan brutally beat Mr. Xing's lower back and buttocks with the handle of the shovel. The beating broke his finger. -
Atrocities at Nanmusi Women's Forced Labour Camp in Sichuan Province
2005-08-28In mid-November 2004, Nanmusi Women's Forced Labour Camp policewomen bound Ms. Yang Zhengru onto a metal rotary clothes line in the spread-eagle position with handcuffs and shackles. The policewomen beat Ms. Yang severely with high voltage electric batons, causing her to fall unconscious. A criminal inmate was then ordered to press the acupuncture point above Yang Zhengru's lips to wake her up. When Ms. Yang came to, they demanded that she say she had fallen unconscious for no reason. If she refused, Chen had to continue beating her. Ms. Yang is now very weak and emaciated due to frequent beatings. -
Five Falun Dafa Practitioners Persecuted to Death in the City of Tianjin, and in Hunan, Sichuan and Shandong Provinces
2005-08-28They were arrested by police at the train station and were sent to a detention centre. In a damp and chilly jail, they were treated inhumanely, suffering from all kinds of threats, intimidation, force feeding and other forms of torture and persecution. Thus Zhang developed the symptom of a recurring cough. Her family spent 5000 yuan to bail her out and await trial. They forced her to stop practising the Falun Dafa exercises and to not read the Falun Dafa books, and her cough became worse and worse. She went to the hospital for a checkup and the diagnosis was lung cancer. The hospital promised her family that her sickness could be cured, but after 9 months Zhang Xioyin passed away. -
Thirty-Year-Old Mr. Wu Chunlong Tortured to Death in the Jiamusi Labour Camp (Photos)
2005-08-27Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wu Chunlong was tortured in the Jiamusi City Labour Camp until he was near death. He was completely emaciated, was unable to think clearly, and could not speak when he was sent home on April 30th 2005. His condition gradually improved with the care of his family, but police had him under close monitoring. They constantly threatened and harassed Mr. Wu Chunlong, and he died on August 20th 2005, only 30 years old. -
Sun Shaomin Has Been on Hunger Strike for More Than 110 Days at Hulan Prison - His Life is in Great Danger
2005-08-27Dafa practitioner Mr. Sun Shaomin from Wuchang City is being held at Hulan Prison, and has been on a hunger strike for more than 110 days. He has been subjected to brutal persecution while holding the hunger strike, and his life is in great danger. During the hunger strike his persecutors have used handcuffs to secure him while they held him down and force-fed him. A doctor told the prison supervisor and a team leader, "Because the heart is so close to the oesophagus, you can't force-feed him anymore. If you try to insert the feeding tube again, it could easily pierce the oesophagus and penetrate the heart." -
UN Investigates Torture Suffered by Professor Wu Xiaohua
2005-08-27The case of Professor Wu Xiaohua has been taken on by the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (the UN Working Group). Professor Wu was one of victims whom the Working Group sought to interview during its visit to China last September. However, the People's Republic of China (PRC) rebuffed all attempts, did not provide information regarding her situation at that time, or allow contact between the UN Working Group and Ms. Wu. The Working Group concluded that " (Wu Xiaohua was) prosecuted and sentenced to the administrative measure of re-education through labour, and therefore deprived of liberty, mainly for exercising fundamental rights..."
