Eleven Dafa Practitioners in Several Provinces Die as a Result of Persecution
2005-07-08
Ms. Tian Xierong, 50, was a Dafa practitioner from Daqing, Heilongjiang Province. After July 20, 1999, when the persecution started, she was forced to stop practising. She then became seriously ill. Later, she started to practise Falun Dafa again. On June 25, 2000, Ms. Tian was arrested while doing the Falun Dafa exercises in a public park. She was detained for nearly two months in a detention centre, where she was made to suffer extreme mental and physical torture. After her release, she died in December 2002. -
Information on Five Practitioners Who Passed Away Due to Persecution
2005-07-08Ms. Cai Banghua, was a 30-year-old practitioner from Kunming City, Yunnan Province. She previously had a severe kidney disorder (nephropathy). After she began to practise Falun Gong in 1997, the nephropathy and all other symptoms of illness disappeared. In 1998, she was selected as the vice-director of a street committee and she performed her duties well and worked very hard. After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, the director, Zhang Hui, created much difficulty for her by increasing her workload and assigning tasks to her just when it was time to go home. He forced Ms. Cai to write "repentance letters" repeatedly. Finally, he forced Ms. Cai to resign from her position. Because Cai Banghua had no job, she experienced economic hardship on top of the mental suffering caused by the constant harassment. Thus, her old illness recurred and she died in June 2000. -
Practitioner Mr. Zhang Zhagen Tortured to Death in the Kaifeng City Forced Labour Camp
2005-07-07Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Zhagen was tortured to the brink of death in the Kaifeng City Forced Labour Camp in Henan Province. Although Mr. Zhang had gone on a hunger strike to protest the persecution he was subjected to at the forced labour camp, the officials and police guards there kept torturing him. At that time, Mr. Zhang Zhagen's bloodshot eyes were wide open, his face was swollen, and he had difficulty catching his breath. His arms were covered in purple bruises from the beatings he had received. He was sent to the Kaifeng City Medical Institute Hospital for emergency treatment on June 24, 2005. On the night of June 27, 2005, he died. -
How the 610 Office Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Wei Xingliang until He Died in Inner Mongolia
2005-07-07The "610 Office" in Chifeng City arrest practitioners and take them to a brainwashing centre, extort money from their townships or workplaces and use all kinds of other method to force them to give up their belief. Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wei Xingliang was arrested and sent to a brainwashing centre at least five times. He was severely persecuted to the point of a mental collapse. On May 24, 2005, when he was cleaning a balcony window, he fell from the fourth floor and died, at only 51 years old. -
Persecution Causes the Death of Eleven Falun Gong Practitioners from Jilin Province, Liaoning Province, Beijing, and Xinjiang Province
2005-07-07Ms. Gao Shulian, was a seventy-year-old lady. Someone informed the police while she was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. As a result, she was arrested and detained in a detention centre for 15 days. After she was released, she continued to tell people the truth about Falun Dafa and distribute leaflets. The police arrested her again and beat her while she was at the police station. Due to being extremely frightened, her health was affected. She suffered from serious illnesses and passed away in the latter half of 2004. -
The Persecution of Dafa Practitioners at the Chatou Brainwashing Centre
2005-07-07Chatou Brainwashing Centre in Guangzhou has been persecuting local Falun Dafa practitioners ever since its establishment at the beginning of 2000. When it was just established, the authorities illegally charged practitioners, their workplaces and neighbourhood committee 9,500 yuan every month per practitioner. The amount has been reduced to 1,000 yuan. At present, there are over ten practitioners who remain in detention and are suffering torture at the brainwashing centre. -
Mr Fan Dacheng Was Tortured to the Brink of Death at the Changji Forced Labour Camp and Later Died
2005-07-06Mr. Fan Dacheng, a Falun Gong practitioner in his 50s, persisted in practising Falun Gong and telling people the truth about Falun Gong. As a result, he was persecuted many times. He was forced to perform high-intensity work for as long as 20 hours every day in a forced labour camp. Guards grossly abused him until he almost died; then a family member carried him home. He passed away on September 12, 2004. -
The Sorrow of a Ten-Year-Old Girl
2005-07-06Ten-year-old Zhaoming used to be a healthy and happy girl. However, four years ago, a sudden misfortune separated Zhaoming from her parents and caused deep sorrow in her heart. Due to their refusal to give up the practice of Falun Gong, her parents were arrested by the police when they made materials to expose the persecution of Falun Gong. Witnessing her parents being arrested by the police, Zhaoming cried until she lost her voice. Without anyone to care for her, she was sent to her grandmother's home in the mountains by a kindhearted man. Her parents were sentenced to fourteen years in prison. -
Daqing City Prison's Deputy Chief Claims, "It's No Big Deal to Kill Some Falun Gong"
2005-07-06After returning from a meeting in Xi'an City, Deputy Chief of Daqing Prison Jiang Shuchen and Director of the local "610 Office" Guo Chuntang started another round of persecution against Falun Gong. In the special meeting to direct the persecution campaign, Guo claimed, "It is no big deal to kill some Falun Gong. It doesn't matter at all." Under his watch, the Second and Seventh Divisions of the prison escalated their persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. Pan Chaolin, who was in charge, instructed the prisoners, "You guys may beat them to death." -
Five Falun Dafa Practitioners Die as a Result of the Persecution
2005-07-0670 year old Mr. Hou Hei was resident in Henan Province. He was a technician at the No. 1 Paper Mill of Tahe City. In 1999, Mr. Hou went to Beijing to appeal, after which the police arrested and took him to a brainwashing centre. After he was released, he went a second time to Beijing. The police arrested him again and took him to a brainwashing centre. The persecutors tortured and threatened him, and also ransacked his home many times, causing him intolerable stress. Mr. Hou died in 2004. -
Disabled Young Woman Persecuted to Death in Yunnan Province

Police arrested Dafa practitioner Ms Yang Suhong and took her to the Yunnan Provincial Women's Forced Labour Camp in November 2004. During her six months in the labour camp, Yang Suhong was forced to participate in the same hard physical labour as other prisoners. After enduring enormous mental and physical torture, the innocent 24-year-old woman passed away on June 11, 2005. -
Prison Guard Reveals How Falun Gong Practitioner Bi Wenming Was Tortured to Death in 30 Minutes
2005-07-05On September 3, 2004, the guards at Dingxi Prison brought Mr. Bi Wenming into a room and tied his limbs and neck onto a homemade "tiger bench". Beginning at noon, five or six guards took turns shocking Mr. Bi's limbs and head with electric batons. He shouted in agony with each round of shocks. In order to keep other prisoners who were working outside from hearing, the guards covered Mr. Bi Wenming's mouth with a towel and pressed the towel down with their hands so that he could not shout. Mr. Bi could not breathe and tried to shake his head to throw off the towel. By about 12:30 p.m., Mr. Bi Wenming's face turned dark and his eyes opened wide. He had stopped breathing. A 36-year-old man was tortured to death in less than 30 minutes by the guards of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). -
Elderly Ms. Tai Bingxiu from Jilin Province Dies from Persecution
2005-07-05Ms. Tai Bingxiu was 60 years old. On the morning of June 24, 2001, Ms. Tai picked up a banner with the words, "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance" on her way to a relative's house. She attached the banner to a wall, and was seen by the deputy director of the local police substation, who was following her. Ms. Tai was deceived into going to the police station and was detained there for 15 days. Soon thereafter, the police ransacked her home three times, confiscated all her Falun Dafa books, and extorted more than one thousand yuan from her. She was forced to write a "guarantee statement" to give up practising and was threatened with further torment. These actions severely damaged her health. She passed out in her yard, and was found by her family members. When the ambulance came, she was suffering a heart attack. She passed away on November 2, 2001. -
More Detailed Information on Mr. Cheng Jingshan Who Was Persecuted to Death
2005-07-05On April 8, 2004, Mr. Cheng was locked up in the county detention centre for telling people the truth about Falun Gong. He was brutally beaten by the criminals there. On May 9, when he was in critical condition, Mr. Cheng's family was notified to take him home. But even still, the "610 Office" and the County Public Security Bureau did not leave him alone. Right before he passed away, they still continued to send people to harass Mr. Cheng. Under extreme physical and spiritual pressures, Mr. Cheng Jingshan died on January 11, 2005. -
Information on Thirteen Practitioners in Shandong, Hebei, Heilongjiang, and Sichuan Provinces Who Died as a Result of Persecution
2005-07-05Mr. Huang Anwen, and his wife, Ms. Ma. Guixiang, lived in Shandong Province. They learned Falun Dafa in 1998 and gained many benefits, especially improved health. After the persecution of Falun Gong began, they were harassed frequently. They were threatened and their home was ransacked. Once, Ms. Ma was abducted and taken to the police station and handcuffed to a chair for one day and night. Due to the intense stress from the ongoing harassment, the husband and wife passed away one after the other within the two-week period between April 15 to May 1, 2003.
