I Was Tortured in Shibalihe Women's Forced Labour Camp
2009-07-24In order to resist the detention, in December 2001, many practitioners held hunger strikes. The guards ordered prisoners to "force-feed" practitioners. Some forced open practitioners' mouths with spoons and some of them pinched practitioners' noses so that they had to open their mouths. Several people pushed me down on the ground, some of them pinched my nose, and others pinched my cheeks, held down my arms and legs, and used spoons to force open my mouth to force feed me. They did not care if I swallowed the food, they just kept going through the motions, dumping one spoon after another into my mouth. Sometimes I was not able to breathe. -

Elderly Practitioners Tortured at Henan Province Women's Prison
2009-07-22There are approximately 200 Falun Gong practitioners detained at Henan Province Women's Prison (also known as the Xinxiang Women's Prison). In 2005, it was recognized as a "model" ministerial-level prison because of the way the guards there viciously tortured practitioners. The majority of the practitioners are elderly women, the oldest being over 70 years old. The guards force them to string pearls together, the smallest pearl being the size of a grain of rice and the largest one being the size of a soybean. Because the holes in the pearls are so tiny, the women have to wear high-powered reading glasses when stringing them together. After bending over a work table for long periods of time, many practitioners could not endure it and started to experience symptoms of high blood pressure, with some even becoming bedridden. -
