Falun Dafa Practitioner Jiang Bai Dies after Persecution in Daqing Detention Centre in Heilongjiang Province

Ms. Jiang Bai, age 30, was a staff member of the Daqing Main Petroleum Industry. She was forced from her job in October 2000 because she firmly held to her practice of Falun Gong. Ms. Jiang had been homeless, was arrested and persecuted many times. On April 26th, 2007, she was arrested at her work place by the Daqing Public Security Bureau, Wolitun Subdivision, and held in the Daqing Detention Centre. She began a hunger strike against the persecution and was force-fed against her will. During the brutal force-feeding, Ms. Jiang vomited, coughed blood and passed out. Jiang Bai passed away on June 28th, 2007. -
Mr. Kong Xiangzhu from Heilongjiang Province Tortured to Death

On the evening of May 1st, 2002, police officers deceived Mr. Kong Xiangzhu into going to a construction site and arrested him. They claimed he had been involved in tapping into cable TV to broadcast the truth about the persecution. When his family heard he was being resuscitated in a hospital, they rushed to the hospital, but he was already in an operating room. His whole body was covered with bruises, and his back had been burned due to electric baton shocks. The flesh around his neck had separated from his bones. In June 2006, Mr. Kong was diagnosed with severe tuberculosis. Mr. Kong Xiangzhu died on June 23rd, 2007. -
Left Paralysed by Torture, Practitioner Ms. Dou Suli from Shandong Province Dies an Untimely Death

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Dou Suli from Juancheng County, Heze City, Shandong Province was arrested. Participating in the arrest were officers from Juancheng County Police Department and the 610 Office. By the time of her release on October 7th, 2006, she had lost all feeling and was disabled, despite medical treatments. She could not speak and lost the ability to take care of herself because of paralysis in the right side of her body. She passed away on May 25th, 2007. -
Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) Persecution of Gong Huadong from Shandong Province and Her Family
2007-07-12Ms. Gong Huadong was sentenced to two years in a forced labour camp. On June 26th, 2001, she was taken to the First Women's Prison of Shandong Province. The policemen from Mengyin County who escorted her to prison pocketed the 500 yuan she was carrying. At the prison, Ms. Gong suffered both mental and physical tortures. In February 2005, she was arrested again. When Ms. Gong was imprisoned, her husband Mr. Yang Mintong was traumatised. He drank a lot due to depression. Before long, he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and passed away three months after the diagnosis. His death is not unrelated to the persecution. -
College Lecturer Ms. Wang Yan Brutally Persecuted in Harbin Women's Jail in Heilongjiang Province
2007-07-11In July 2000, Ms. Wang Yan was detained at the Mishan First Detention Centre by authorities from the 610 Office. On October 23rd of the same year, she was detained in the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp. She was released on January 22nd, 2001. On January 2nd, 2002, once again she was arrested by 610 Office agents and held at the Mishan Detention Centre where she suffered many times from brutal beatings, forced feedings, and other cruel torture. Later, she was sentenced to seven years in prison, and on March 3rd, 2003, she was taken to the the Mishan Court ordered her sent to Harbin Women's Jail, where she has been subjected to persecution ever since. -
Ms. Jiang Pai from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province Unconscious and Incontinent after Two Months of Imprisonment
2007-07-11Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Jiang Pai, 29, was arrested two months ago. Currently, she still under arrest, and she has been lying unconscious in a hospital for two days. Ms. Jiang Bai was arrested by the Longfeng Police Department in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province on April 25th, 2007. What happened to her after her arrest is unclear. She was admitted to the hospital coughing up blood and fading in and out of consciousness on June 26th. Since then, she has remained unconscious and incontinent. Her feet are swollen and have bruises on them. After she was hospitalised, another patient's relative witnessed an officer beating Ms. Jiang and dragging her by her hair. -
Chengdu City (Sichuan Province) Procuratorate Responsible for the Death of Ms. Zhao Zhongling, Who Was Sentenced to Three Years of Forced Labour While on Her Death Bed

On May 8th, 2007, the second day after the Chengdu City Procuratorate hoodwinked, arrested, and finally killed Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhao Zhongling, police went to Ms. Zhao's residence and announced a three-year forced labour prison sentence. Ms. Zhao's family members, who had just lost a loved one, were upset, "They tortured and killed her, and now they are sentencing her to forced labour?" -
Practitioner Mr. Wang Gang from Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province Facing Loss of His Leg Due to Torture - Family Visits Denied
2007-07-11As a result of torture administered by Baoding City Prison officials, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Gang was disabled. His wife and other family members went to visit him on June 7th, 2007, according to the time scheduled with the prison visiting office on May 24th, but their visit was denied. The family members again explained that they had received a message that Wang Gang faced amputation of one leg as a result of gross abuse in prison. They wanted to confirm that the message was genuine and hoped the authorities could provide some help. An official equipped with a camcorder arrived and introduced himself as being from the Prison Affairs Section. He filmed the family members, but the answer still was "No visit." He said that Wang Gang was not "reformed," so he could not have visitors. -
Ms. Yu Mei from Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province Recounts the Abuse She Suffered during the Past Eight Years of Persecution
2007-07-10One day in June 2001, three practitioners and I went out to explain the facts about Falun Gong to people. Someone reported us, and officers from the Donghai Police Station arrested us. They interrogated us and beat us until my body was bruised everywhere. I was in terrible pain. They pinned us to the floor and dragged us into a small and filthy toilet by our feet. They locked us in there for one day. We were then detained in the Dongpoling Drug Rehabilitation Centre the following day and went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The director of the rehab centre screamed, "Let her die! We'll say it was suicide! At most, it'll only cost me 30 yuan to cremate your body--that's nothing." -
Practitioner Mr. Li Xinjian Has Been Arrested Again and Detained at a Brainwashing Centre for Over Two Months (Reenactment Photos)

In April, Dafa practitioner Li Xinjian went to the local Chinese Communist Party Committee to ask them to release his wife who had been detained by the Committee. However, he was also arrested and sent to a brainwashing centre. In 2000, Li Xinjian went to Beijing to appeal in Tiananmen Square. He was brutally beaten by police and sent without proper trial to a forced labour camp. Wardens tortured him by handcuffing one hand to the upper level of a bunk bed and another to the lower level of the bed, which prevented him from either standing up or sitting down, as visible in the reenactment photo. -
Practitioner Liu Shengzhu and His Family Repeatedly Subjected to Persecution
2007-07-10Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Shengzhu and his wife, Li Xiumei's home was forcibly taken away for several years, with the windows sealed and doors barricaded. The family of three was not allowed to go back to their own home and had to live a life of homelessness. The village head, Jiang Weidong, said , "Today we have sold your house for 50,000 yuan. We spent 30,000 yuan to look for you in Beijing and 20,000 yuan on the expenses for watching you from July to October. You no longer have a house. From today on, your family does not belong to our village." After he said that, Jiang Weidong threw Li Xiumei out and said, "You can go anywhere you'd like to file a lawsuit, I am not scared!" -
Wanquan County Court Tried Falun Gong Practitioners in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province
2007-07-10Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials in Zhangjiakou City conducted a court session from June 4th to June 6th, 2007, to try Falun Gong practitioners Yue Yuqi and Cao Fengying. They also put Zhang Yufen under arrest. Practitioner Yue Yuqi was on the verge of death at the time. He could not talk or walk. His weight was only 35kg (about 77 lbs). His family had to carry him to the court. When the practitioners told court officials the facts about Falun Gong, they said, "We have no choice. No one dares to say anything in defence of Falun Gong practitioners. Furthermore, the decision was not made by a single person. We have to hand them over to the next higher court. This session is simply for show. Everything has been decided already." -
My Experience of Being Tortured for Five Years in the Shenyang Women's Prison in Liaoning Province
2007-07-09On August 22nd, 2002, because of distributing leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Dafa, I was sentenced to 5 years in prison by the Chaoyang County Court. On December 22nd, I was sent to Dabei Prison in Shenyang. During those five years, I witnessed the darkness of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), experienced its brutality and violence. The guards tried to force me to study books that slander Dafa. A female guard used soles of her shoes to rub my eyelids until my eyelids tore. Also, after more brutal persecution, I started to experience severe pain in my abdomen and gradually I was able to eat less and less. Later, I was sent to Medical University of Shenyang and Specialised Hospital, where they said I had "tubercular peritonitis." -
Cultural Revolution Redux: Authorities at Lanling Brewery in Shandong Province Publicly Denounce Falun Gong Practitioners with Slogans Hung from Their Necks
2007-07-09The authorities at Lanling Brewery in Mengyin County have persecuted Falun Gong practitioners who work at the factory. They took practitioners to Taoxu Town in a truck. It happened to be the time of the town's grand country fair. The truck stopped at the fair, and many people surrounded it. Over 10 practitioners stood on the truck with giant white plates that read "Falun Gong element" hanging round their necks. To be publicly humiliated--this is truly a repetition of the "Cultural Revolution." -
Liaoning Province Second Prison Guards Still Committing Crimes of Persecution
2007-07-09Around May 1st, 2007, Liaoning Province Second Prison guards searched prison cells, and took away practitioners Mr. Zhang Peng and Mr. Li Shujun's Falun Dafa books and appeal materials. Afterwards, Zhang Peng went to find the prison chief several times to ask him to return the books and materials. However, Meng said, "Falun Gong practitioners' appeal letters are contraband and must be destroyed." Mr. Zhang Peng sent letters reporting this matter to the prison and the Procuratorate authorities many times, but to no avail.
