  After she said this, Sun Shouqi lost the ability to speak. She pointed at the spot on the bed where she slept, and later we realized that she became incontinent from torture, and she didn't want to soil the other people's bed sheet. She couldn't speak and her mouth foamed. We immediately notified the detention centre authorities who called the prison doctor. The doctor said coldly, "Now it's your turn to speak." Later, when they saw Sun Shouqi was on the verge of death, they called a doctor from a regular hospital who took Sun's temperature. Between 9:00-10:00 p.m., they carried Sun Shouqi away on a stretcher.

  Xin Baodong's son was purchasing some items at a shop when a bunch of plainclothes police rushed in and without any explanation and arrested everyone there. They were taken to the Public Security Bureau, interrogated, and their work units were contacted. Finally, the shoppers were released, but Xin Baodong's son was made to stand in the corridor till school was almost over, then he was allowed to go home. When he returned to the school, the teacher asked the child what happened and he described the event. The teacher cried and the child was also sobbing.

  Middle group leader Yang Jiantao who was on duty, and guard Liu Dian dragged Zhang Changming violently to the office. They handcuffed him to the heater and beat him terribly. It was very likely that he was beaten to death, rather than passing away after he was sent home on March 2. After he was beaten, he was sent to the hospital on March 1. The jail police lied to the Falun Gong practitioners detained by saying, "Zhang Changming was bailed out for his sickness." After their show of lies, there was a drastic shuffling around among policemen and guards.

The private parts of female Falun Dafa practitioners, including Xu Xueying, were lacerated by the hired persecutors and made to bleed and fester.

  After long-term torture, Yang Yi could not even eat, yet the detention centre refused to release him. They did not send him to the hospital until November 15, 2001. At that time poor Yang Yi was reduced to skin and bones, he could not eat anything, and threw up whatever was fed to him, whether it was water or food. He sadly died that afternoon as a result of the torture.
