Czech Republic and Slovakia: Exposing the Persecution and Promoting Falun Gong (IV)
2005-08-06Between 16th and 22nd of June 2005, for the first time Falun Gong practitioners in the Czech Republic and Slovakia made wide contact with the mainstream media, exposing the brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist regime. They also hosted various activities to introduce Falun Gong to the general public. Practitioners invited Falun Gong practitioner Xiong Wei from Germany as a special guest. Xiong Wei was imprisoned for two years in a Chinese forced labour camp after being arrested for distributing leaflets exposing the Chinese Communist Party’s human rights abuses aginast Falun Gong practitioners. -
Radio Free Asia: German Society Pays Close Attention to the Development of Jiang Renzheng's Case
2005-07-25Due to the concerns of the International Organisation for Human Rights and the German Government, during the human rights forum between China and Germany the Chinese Government was obliged to admit the arrest of Mr. Jiang Renzheng, a Chinese Falun Gong practitioner who was deported back to China from Germany at the beginning of May. According to a lady from Wuerzburg who has been actively involved in the efforts to rescue Jiang Renzheng, the Chinese Government was once again obliged to admit to the German Government that Jiang Renzheng was arrested for political reasons. -

Calling for Public Attention to the Incident of Jiang Renzheng during the Annual Sino-Deutsch Human Rights and Legal Issues Symposium
2005-06-29The annual Sino-Deutsch Human Rights and Legal Issues Symposium started in 1999. This year’s symposium was held at the City Hall and the Chamber of Commerce of Hamburg on June 20th and 21st. For the purposes of protesting against the Chinese Government for the unceasingly brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, and to arouse Germany and other European countries to pay attention to the human rights conditions that show no regard for the law in China, Falun Gong practitioners from northern Germany held a series of activities around this symposium. -
Slovakia: Persecution Against Falun Gong in Media Spotlight
2005-06-24On 20th June, a press conference was held with Ms. Xiong Wei to inform the public about her two years of suffering in a Chinese forced labour camp. Xiong Wei was imprisoned for handing out leaflets in Beijing exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. The Slovakia press conference was featured on two TV stations and in other media. -
Radio Free Asia: Zhang Cuiying Invited to Participate in the Renowned German Hessen State Festival
2005-06-23The German Hessen State Cultural Festival invited well-known Austrian artist Weber and the renowned Chinese artist Ms Zhang Cuiying, who lives in Australia, to hold a large-scale painting exhibition entitled “The European classical landscape painting vs. the Chinese traditional painting”. Zhang Cuiying is well known as a Falun Gong practitioner who was imprisoned for her beliefs whilst in China. She faced abuse and maltreatment in prison before being able to escape to Australia. Since then she has travelled the world with her painings, letting people know about the persecution she suffered and also letting them enjoy her traditional Chinese paintings. -
Radio Free Asia: Jiang Renzheng's Case is a Hot Topic During the Sino-Deutsch Human Rights Symposium
2005-06-20According to Ms. Weisbec, the Chinese Government employed despicable schemes to cover up the truth. After 8th April, when Jiang was arrested and sentenced, Benxi City National Security Bureau police showed up at the house of Jiang’s parents with a pre-drafted statement for them to sign. The statement included two declarations. First, Jiang’s parents voluntarily handed over to the National Security Bureau Jiang’s private correspondence and photos from abroad. The other declaration was that Jiang’s parents agreed to send Jiang to a forced labour camp for brainwashing and conversion. -
Radio France Internationale: Guo Guoting, a Renowned Chinese Lawyer, Published his Resignation from the Chinese Communist Party
2005-06-16According to Radio France Internationale, The Epoch Times reported the announcement by Guo Guoting, a renowned Chinese lawyer, of his resignation from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The Epoch Times website reported that Guo Guoting had initially been under house arrest in China due to defending Falun Gong practitioners. He arrived in Canada at the end of May this year. Guo announced on the website his renouncement of the CCP and other CCP subsidiary organisations. -
Radio France Internationale: Update on Chen Yonglin’s Case
2005-06-15'Yesterday, Chen Yonglin made a direct application to Mr. Downer, the Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs. After accepting the application, Mr. Downer said Australia does not usually provide this kind of refuge. When Chen Yonglin’s case roused a big argument in Australia’s political realm, another Chinese security official who fled to Australia earlier, told the Australian Broadcasting Company that what Chen Yonglin said is completely true. Chen Yonglin claimed that there are thousands of spies from China active in Australia.' -
Radio Station in Czech Republic Broadcasts 60-Minute Falun Gong Programme
2005-06-07The radio listeners learned about the brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in China. They also learned that Falun Gong is based on the principles of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance. In answer to a question about whether Falun Gong can help people, the practitioner revealed that when the practice was spread in a Taiwanese jail, some of the inmates improved their moral character to such an extent that their sentences were shortened. -
Radio Free Asia: Practitioners Invited to Demonstrate Falun Gong Exercises at Berlin Gymnastics Festival
2005-06-04The six-day Berlin Gymnastics Festival, which has just been held in the capital of Germany with 120,000 participants, has a history of one hundred and forty-five years. Its goal is to improve the physical and mental health of children and adults. Four German words represent its motto: originality, piety, happiness, and freedom. Under the principle of this motto, the Berlin Gymnastics Festival invited Falun Gong practitioners in Germany to participate in the performance. -
Finnish Falun Gong Practitioner Appears in National TV Programme
2005-05-25The Finnish practitioner has been the target of the Chinese Communist Party’s threat campaign. He received several hundred harassing phone calls, where English tape recordings were played defaming Falun Gong. Like other Finish Falun Gong practitioners who received the same type of calls, he sent crime investigation reports about the case to the local police and also had an opportunity to report about the harassment on the TV programme. Many people who had watched the programme told practitioners that they condemned the dirty tricks used by the Chinese Government and expressed support for Falun Gong. -

2005-05-24Because he took part in Falun Gong activities in Germany, Mr. Jiang Renzheng, who was deported to China’s Liaoning Province in early March, was persecuted at once and was put in prison on the 8th of April. The Largest TV Station in Turkey Broadcasts Falun Gong Information to the Whole Country
2005-05-11In the morning, the reporter from SHOWTV interviewed Falun Gong practitioners who were doing the exercises in a park and the interview programme was broadcast in the news in the evening of the same day. In the programme, some practitioners talked about practising Falun Gong and introduced the five sets of exercises. -
Radio Free Asia: Increasing Persecution of Jiang Renzheng by the CCP Shocks the German Public
2005-04-21Falun Gong practitioner Jiang Renzheng and his family went back to mainland China from Germany at the beginning of March. As soon as they arrived at Benxi, Liaoning, they suffered continuos persecution from the police and the national security department. From the information we got on Friday, the persecution has increased again. Ms Tang, who has been actively working on this issue, introduced her most recent situation to a reporter last week. The information that Jiang Renzheng has been detained and his family is not allowed to visit him shocked Germany’s media and human rights organisations again.
