    On April the 17th 2004, the Fact Art Centre in Liverpool organised a show with the theme “A little peace in this changing world”. Falun Gong practitioners were invited to join the show and used this opportunity to tell the audience about Falun Gong and the persecution in China.

    As Spring arrives, many tourists are coming to Salzburg, the home town of Mozart. This provides a good opportunity to clarify the truth to people from all over the world. Although the weather was cold and windy, many people from Austria, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic and the United Kingdom learned about the Jiang regime's cruel persecution of Falun Gong.

    "Then, I talked to many Chinese people; I asked them would they please pass on the contents of the leaflets to their relatives and friends, because this information is very precious. It can only be obtained overseas and the human rights of Falun Gong practitioners in China now are in severe danger. When I asked for their help directly and sincerely, their reactions were not how I expected, they were listening to me and gradually realising the severity of the persecution."
  • United Kingdom: Morning Practice in the City of Edinburgh

    On the Saturday morning practitioners met in an Edinburgh park to practise the Falun Gong exercises together. Practitioners agreed that practising the exercises together outside was very different to practising by oneself at home and everyone benefited from the strong energy field and serene atmosphere.
  • Slovakia: Letting People Know about the Persecution of Falun Gong in more than 100 Cities and Towns

    Slovakian Falun Gong practitioners visited more than 100 Slovak cities and towns to deliver information about the persecution of Falun Gong in China during Easter 2004. As the practitioners put up information posters, passers-by stopped to find out more. After learning the truth, they also expressed their opposition to this persecution.
  • Germany: Information Day in Nuremburg

    In Nuremburg, people watched a demonstration of the five Falun Gong exercises by practitioners from northern Germany. In China, those who practise these exercises could be be sent to labour camps, tortured by various means and force-fed while on hunger strike. Even worse, they may be killed as a result of the persecution. Falun Gong, a peaceful cultivation practice, has become widely popular the world. Many practitioners in Germany have benefited, so they try to help people understand this persecution.
  • Talking with Haroldo: "Our Song Frightens Evil"

    If you saw the performance given by the European ‘Coming for You’ Choir at The Inaugural Chinese New Year Global Gala in New York this year, you probably remember Haroldo’s excellent performance as conductor. In fact, he not only excels at playing the piano and conducting, but also composes. Haroldo introduced a saying from his hometown, ‘Singing frightens Evil’, which means that when people feel upset or are in trouble, they turn to singing because they believe that singing frightens evil.

  • Special Forum Entitled 'Slavery Economy in China’s Labour Camps' is Held in Geneva

    The 60th UN Human Rights Commission is taking place in Geneva at the moment. A joint action organisation, consisting of international and Swiss NGOs, is seeking to carry China to a real democracy. The organisation's first special forum was held at “Family Society” in Geneva: "The Slave Economy in China's Labour Camps".
  • Exposing the Persecution of Falun Gong in the Chinese Educational System During the Annual Meeting of the UN Human Rights Commission

    On April the 6th, during the annual meeting of the UN Human Rights Commission (UNHRC), the World Women's Organisation (USA) staged a seminar on Human Rights in the Chinese educational system. World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) president John Jaw, Falun Gong practitioner Zhao Ming and Australian human rights lawyer Christopher Nyst were invited to this seminar.
  • Germany: Dafa Practitioners Clarify the Truth to People in Every District of Berlin

    Not so long ago, we heard that the Chinese prime minister would visit Germany. After sharing understandings between Berlin practitioners, we felt that we should try our best to let as many people as possible know that Falun Gong is good and how Falun Gong has been persecuted by Jiang Zemin in China.
  • The Future of the European Union Forum: Jiang’s Lies Exposed

    On the 7th of April 2004, the student union of the Free University in Amsterdam organised a public debate for candidates of the EU parliament presidency. The participants also included members of the EU parliament, important Dutch politicians from all parties, well-known professors, Dutch Falun Gong practitioners, the chancellor of the Free University Amsterdam, and representatives from many Dutch communities.
  • Statement by the Falun Gong Association of the Czech Republic

    "Every step made by the Czech Government can become a historic moment when the Government leans either toward the defence of human rights or toward “quiet acquiescence” with the abuse. Actually, human rights and trade with China are tightly connected and that is why we think that upholding human rights is a necessary prerequisite to a successful realisation of all projects with China which we may wish to commit ourselves to undertake."
  • Czech Republic: Members of the Czech Parliament Appeal to President Vaclav Klaus to Express Support for Falun Gong Practitioners during his Visit to China

    Czech Falun Gong practitioners organised a Press Conference outside the seat of the President's Office. Several VIPs joined the appeal with a statement, “We join the appeal to stop the persecution of Falun Gong members and other prisoners of conscience in China and call on the President Mr Vaclav Klaus to unambiguously express support to these people.“
  • Yoko Kaneko (A Resident in Japan), Imprisoned in China for 1.5 Years for Practising Falun Gong, Gives Personal Testimony at U.N. Commission on Human Rights in Geneva

    "My name is Yoko Kaneko. I was born in China. I am now residing in Japan. I am a practitioner of Falun Gong. I travelled back to China from Japan on May the 24th 2002. I was arrested and put in labour camp without trial only for handing out Falun Gong fliers on the streets in Beijing. I was released after one and a half years. Here I would like to share some of my sufferings while under detention."
