Sweden: Falun Gong Appreciated by Many Gothenburg Residents

On May 15th, 2004, the regular Falun Gong practice session in Slottsskogen, Gothenburg, coincided with the yearly Gothenburg Half-Marathon. Some thirty-six thousand runners participated and just as many people came out to watch and cheer them. After the usual practice, Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the exercises again for the unusually large amount of spectators. -
Sweden: Speech Forum on China’s Human Rights Held in Lund City

CCP control penetrates the entire judicial system, and Jiang Zemin even instructs the Chinese Supreme Court how to sentence some cases over the telephone. In China courts make judgments based on politics, not justice." -
Switzerland: "Chinese Week" Activities in a Middle School in Brugg City Have Come to an End

Seeing that the teachers and students benefited a lot from Falun Dafa, the mayor expressed his appreciation for Falun Dafa, and for Ms Zhang's paintings, which demonstrated to the Swiss people the essence of Chinese culture. The Swiss newspapers General Zeitung and Agauer positively reported the Falun Gong activities with eye-catching photos. -
Spain: Promoting Falun Gong at Valencia International Culture Exchange Expo

From the 7th to the 9th of May, an annual cultural exchange expo was held in Valencia, a beautiful seaside town in Spain. People were immediately attracted by Falun Dafa’s posters and practitioners’ exercise demonstrations. Many people stopped at our stand and listened to practitioners introducing Falun Dafa. -
UK: Wen Jiabao Arrives in the UK and Bo Xilai is Sued

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived in the UK on May 9th. Aside from high-level political and trade talks, the issue of Hong Kong will be a focal point. Bo Xilai, the visiting Chinese Minister of Commerce, has been sued by UK Falun Gong practitioners. -
Germany: Clarifying the Facts in the Town of Ansbach

On May 8th, German Falun Gong practitioners held Falun Gong activities in the small town of Ansbach in southern Germany. Practitioners demonstrated the five Falun Gong exercises for passers-by and collected signatures calling for the release of unlawfully imprisoned practitioners in China. Many people stopped to take a look and asked questions about Falun Gong. -
Norway: "Human Rights in China" Seminar Tour began in the University of Oslo

On May 6th, 2004, the Chinese Human Rights Speech Tour began its journey at Auslu University. This speech tour has a group of lecturers including a famous Canadian lawyer and the chairpeople of Asia Research Association in America and the Labour Studies Fund Association, as well as Falun Gong practitioners that have been persecuted. -
Spain: Clarifying the Truth at the Contemporary Human Rights Forum at Comillas University

The Falun Gong practitioners’ statement shocked.the participants a great deal. A law school professor said, “Although I have heard about the human rights conditions in China, I did not realise that it was so bad.” Another participant added, “Such a major event has occurred in China, but we didn’t know. We hope that we can provide help." -
Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Bring Peace and Harmony to a Conference of the International Federation of Professional Aroma-Therapists

On the afternoon of May the 1st, nearly forty pharmacists and alternative medicine experts, mainly from Germany, attentively watched Falun Gong practitioners demonstrating Falun Gong exercises at the front of the hall. They earnestly learned the slow-moving and gentle movements, while Falun Gong music gently resounded around the hall. -
Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners’ Banner Reading “Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice” Draws Attention during Wen Jiabao’s Visit

During Premier Wen Jiabao’s visit to Berlin, Falun Gong practitioners unfurled banners that read, “Welcome Wen Jiabao” and “Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice”. However the Chinese delegation requested to remove the banner reading “Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice”, saying that to “bring Jiang to justice” is to sentence him to death. German psychiatrists said this indicated that those who participated in the persecution and those who protected the participants are very clear about the consequence of their actions in terms of international law. -
Switzerland: A Lively Human Rights Education Lecture

Brugg High School held an activity entitled ‘Chinese Culture Week'. There was an exhibition of pictures by the painter Zhang Cuiying and teachers invited Ms.Dai Zhizhen to introduce Falun Gong, with the story of her daughter Fadu illustrated by slides. Fadu was only eight months old when her father died, making a strong impact upon her young mother’s heart. -
Czech Republic: Zhang Cuiying holds an Exhibition in the Czech Parliament and visits the Office of the Czech President

In February 2004, an exhibition of the paintings of Australian Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Cuiying was held for five days on all three floors of the Atrium of the Czech Parliament in the Waldstein Palace. Many MPs, VIPs, parliamentary officials, members of the public and a reporter attended the opening of Zhang Cuiying’s exhibition. -

On Saturday May 29th, 2004, the annual Hammarkullen Cultural Festival was held in Goteborg city. Participants from over twenty countries performed their national songs and dances, as well as displays of acrobatics and works of art. In addition, food and goods were also sold at a temporary market. The festival attracted over twenty thousand people. To let more people from different countries know the truth, some practitioners from Goteborg and nearby cities came to Hammarkullen to join the activities. -
