As a result of pressure from China, permission for Falun Gong to hold activities during the Chinese New Year was withdrawn despite practitioners obtaining the permission through the proper channels. This has caused an infingement upon the public rights of a legal group in France. -

On the 17th and 18th of January 2004, the European Choir of Falun Gong practitioners, called the “I come here for you" Choir, gave their first official public performance at the Manhattan Cultural Centre in New York. One of the performers singing on both nights to the 2500-strong audience was Mikko Mattila, a 25 year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Finland. Afterwards, a Clearharmony reporter interviewed Mikko about his experiences and thoughts of singing in the choir. -

German Lawsuit: Persecuted Together in Mainland China, Now Suing the Evil Together Abroad
2004-01-22From 2000 to 2002, Zhao Ming, currently studying in Ireland, and Chen Gang, currently staying in the United States, experienced cruel spiritual and physical torture at Beijing's Tuanhe labour camp because of their belief in Falun Gong. On November 21st 2003, they met again in Europe and gathered with thirty nine other Falun Gong practitioners from various countries to sue sixteen Chinese government officials. -
Ireland: Practitioners in Dublin Hold a Press Conference Concerning the Situation of Liu Feng

Ireland student Liu Feng was detained in Dalian Forced Labour Camp because he is a Falun Gong practitioner. Recently, practitioners received information that Liu Feng has been released but is in hospital. This only occurs when a labour camp detainee has been tortured close to death and prison authorities intend to shift the blame away from themselves. -

UK: Practitioners Show Dafa TV Programmes During the Cambridge Chinese New Year Gala
2004-01-20On January the 16th, UK and Cambridge Chinese Student together with the Scholar’s Associations organised a 2004 Spring Festive Gala. Over 1300 people attended the show. Falun Gong practitioners also joined in the celebrations, and displayed Dafa programmes on a colour TV near the entrance. This added to the festive spirit of the activities. -
UK: Letting Local Chinese People Know the Truth about Dafa in the Town of Hove
2004-01-19On Sunday the 18th of January 2004, Falun Gong practitioners held a display of the 5 sets of Falun Gong exercises outside Hove Town Hall in East Sussex. The local Chinese Association was hosting an Educational and Cultural event at Hove Town Hall. This was part of the celebrations for the Chinese New Year and many Chinese people were there to help set up the event for many local Chinese people and businesses who were invited. All received flyers, Video-CDs and newsletters and some students sat by the practitioners who were meditating to have their pictures taken by their friends. -
UK: Symbolic Play Brings Jiang To Justice in London’s Trafalgar Square

UK Falun Gong practitioners performed a play with the theme of bringing Jiang Zemin, the instigator of the persecution against Falun Gong that has claimed over 860 lives, to justice. Held in London's Trafalgar Square, the play, written by practitioners, symbolically tried Jiang Zemin for his crimes against humanity in this persecution. -

The children in the intermediate class learned how to make paper lotus flowers and other art skills from the art teacher. They also read Hong Yin. When the children were doing the exercises, they were very careful and always helped each other to ensure that everyone’s exercises were correct. The children’s purity, eagerness and attentiveness moved everyone. -

To mourn Liu Chengchun’s death and to protest against Jiang’s persecution of Falun Gong, Dafa practitioners from several cities in Latvia gathered at the Chinese Embassy in Riga city to peacefully appeal. Practitioners called for the wicked people that are responsible for the persecution to be severely punished. -

Italy: In Mourning For Dafa Practitioner Liu Chengjun

From January 2nd to the 9th, 2004, Italian Falun Gong practitioners appealed outside the Chinese Consulate in Milan and mourned the death of Changchun Falun Gong practitioner Liu Chengjun. Liu died on December the 26th 2003 after being viciously tortured and abused by police officers following orders from the Jiang regime. -
Switzerland: Dafa Practitioners Introduce Falun Gong at a Political Party Meeting

Several weeks ago, Swiss Dafa practitioners started contacting the newly-elected Parliament members via telephone or through personal meetings to talk to them about the brutal persecution against Falun Gong in China. They then got the opportunity to distribute materials and deliver a letter of appeal at an event held by the political parties.
