The International Conference on 'Genocide in the New Era’, which was jointly held by the ‘International Advocates for Justice’ and ‘Friends of Falun Gong’, convened in Stockholm, Sweden, on January the 26th 2004. The conference was attended by eighteen international human rights groups, many famous human rights lawyers and a few social activists. -
French Falun Gong Association Invited to the Senate for a Press Conference with NGOs and VIPs

On January the 14th, the French Falun Gong Association was invited to the Senate in Paris for a press conference on human rights in China. Among the guests were Former Minister of Education Jack Lang, Amnesty International, Reporters Without Borders, ECPM (Together Against Capital Punishment), France Tibet and Chinese dissidents. -
European Falun Dafa Association Writes to the President of France

"We were shocked to learn that a Western, democratic country founded on the principles of “Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite” so blatantly violated the human rights of peaceful, non-political citizens and visitors. It has been widely reported that during Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to France, excessive and unreasonable measures were used to intimidate and harass practitioners of Falun Gong. Both Chinese and Western practitioners were arrested, simply because they wore yellow scarves or yellow sweaters with the words of "Falun Gong" or "Zhen Shan Ren"." -

On January the 28th, some delegates attending the international conference on ‘Genocide in the New Era’, together with practitioners from Europe, North America and Asia held a press conference at the Swedish Parliament, regarding the French Government’s treatment of Falun Gong and their kowtowing to Beijing. During the period of the Chinese New Year Parade and Hu Jintao’s visit to France, the Paris police unreasonably arrested several Falun Gong practitioners who did not do anything wrong. -
UK: Promoting Falun Gong in Manchester’s Chinatown on Chinese New Year
2004-02-01On January the 25th, Dafa practitioners went to Manchester’s Chinatown to hold celebration activities for the Spring Festival. While here, practitioners handed out flyers and clarified the facts about Falun Gong to Chinese people and westerners. The Chinese people's attitude had also changed a lot. When receiving information from practitioners, many of them sincerely said thank you. Some of them even asked for information about practice sites and said that they would like to learn the exercises. -

The International Workshop on “Modern Genocide", which was jointly held by the “International Advocates for Justice" and “Friends of Falun Gong", convened in Stockholm, Sweden, on January the 26th 2004. The conference was scheduled to last three days. On the second day of the conference, lawyers from various countries spoke at the workshop. -
UK: Chinese New Year Celebrations in London Provide a Great Opportunity for More People to Know the Facts

Many people asked for truth-clarifying materials. International Forum on "Preventing Genocide: Threat and Responsibility" Held in Stockholm, Sweden

On January the 26th, the Stockholm International Forum held a workshop on “Preventing Genocide: Threat and Responsibility". The Prime Minister of Sweden invited representatives from sixty countries to attend and discuss the important issues related to genocide, including humanitarianism, various policies, and the question of morality. -
France: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold a Press Conference to Condemn the Chinese Embassy's Unreasonable Conduct

As a result of pressure from China, permission for Falun Gong to hold activities during the Chinese New Year was withdrawn despite practitioners obtaining permission through proper legal channels. This has caused an infringement upon the public rights of a legal group in France. French Dafa practitioners held a press conference to expose the Chinese Embassy's actions. -

2004-01-27On January the 11th 2004, London's Trafalgar Square saw UK Falun Gong practitioners gather to demonstrate the five Falun Gong exercises and perform a symbolic trial entitled “Bring Jiang to Justice”, which attracted many tourists. The Falun Gong practitioners who didn’t perform handed out materials to passersby. At times, people came to enquire about the activities and the persecution in China. Practitioners were happy to answer their questions. -
Denmark: Practitioners Promote Falun Gong on Chinese New Year's Eve

Danish practitioners held activities and a picture exhibition in front of the city hall in Copenhagen on Chinese New Year's Eve. They appealed to bring Jiang Zemin to justice in a public trial and to stop the persecution of Falun Gong. They also celebrated the New Year with local people and let them know more about Falun Dafa. -
France: Falun Gong Practitioners' Parade in Paris Draws Media Attention
2004-01-26According to a report on January the 23rd by Radio Free Asia, about five hundred Falun Gong practitioners from various countries in Europe participated in the parade through Paris to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year, which attracted a lot of tourists and French citizens.Dressed in traditional Chinese costumes, they performed a fan dance, drum dance, and danced wearing dragon masks, as the parade marched from Piazza di Repubblica to the Bastille. -
