Varna is a famous tourist town in Bulgaria. On September 11 and 12, local Falun Gong practitioners and others from Kosovo did group exercises in Varna and Bourgas. Practitioners hung up banners and set up a table for information materials. Some local citizens were attracted to the site so practitioners have set up exercise sites in Varna and Bourgas. -

Every Saturday throughout the summer, Falun Gong practitioners from Belgium had a booth at the busiest spot in Brussels, passing out materials and talking to passersby about the benefits of practising Falun Gong. A large banner with the words "Falun Dafa, Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" on it was on top of the nicely decorated float. Practitioners wearing golden exercise costumes demonstrated the peaceful and harmonious five exercises of Falun Gong. -

On August 27, Falun Dafa practitioners in Finland took part in the 21st Helsinki "Art Night", demonstrating the beauty of Falun Dafa at Hesperian Park in the downtown area. Germany: Mayor of Offenbach am Main Pledges Support to Daughter of Falun Gong Practitioner Imprisoned in China

On July 18, 2009, 62-year-old Ji Guizhen, a Falun Gong practitioner from Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China, was arrested for her beliefs. Her daughter, Xu Anlan, and other family members haven't seen her since. After being illegally imprisoned for a year, Ji Guizhen was handed a two-year labour camp sentence for possessing Falun Gong informational materials calling for the end of the persecution.
