  • Germany: Clarifying the Facts on World Religion Day in Berlin

    More than two hundred thousand people from Germany and the neighbouring countries participated in the activities. Dafa practitioners from Berlin utilised the opportunity to clarify the facts, and collect signatures to rescue Ms. Xiong Wei, a Dafa practitioner who lived in Germany and is currently being detained in a Chinese labour camp for distributing Falun Gong flyers.
  • UK: Dafa Practitioners Hold Hunger Strike in Front of the Chinese Embassy to Appeal for the Immediate Release of Charles Li

    According to sources in the U.S. Consulate in Shanghai, Charles Li has experienced beatings and force-feedings while in custody. UK Falun Gong practitioners are seriously concerned about the safety of his life, as more than 10% of the Falun Gong practitioners who have died in Chinese custody have died from force-feeding.
  • Sweden: How Students and Teachers at my School Learnt about Falun Gong

    I had to teach a cultural studies class on society. I told them about China’s history and culture and how freedom of expression and belief differs greatly between different countries. The students stayed after class to ask more questions. One assistant teacher, who was accompanying me, told me that it was the most interesting class she had ever attended.
  • Germany: Local TV Stations Broadcast Falun Gong Videos

    In recent months, various local TV stations in Germany have broadcast truth clarification videos about Falun Gong one after another, enabling the general public to realise the facts about the persecution happening in China. The broadcasting of the video generated very good results as people can quickly realise the truth of a situation. Some of the TV stations agreed to repeat the broadcast at practitioners and many other viewers’ requests.
  • Slovakia: Practitioners Appeal at Chinese Embassy in Bratislava and Visit a Foreign Ministry Representative

    Practitioners from Slovakia and Austria met in front of the Chinese Embassy in Bratislava to send forth righteous thoughts and appeal against the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Many passers-by read the leaflets we handed out, looked at the banners and watched the peaceful exercises.
  • Germany: Falun Dafa Information Day in Frankfurt

    Using an exhibition and an information booth, practitioners will provide an opportunity for Frankfurt’s citizens to understand the peaceful nature of Falun Gong over the next few weekends. They will clarify the facts about the persecution in China and detail the crimes committed by the Jiang regime against Falun Gong practitioners. People will also be informed about how practitioners in different countries are bringing lawsuits against Chinese dictator and instigator of the persecution against Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin.
  • Austria: Practitioners from Different Countries Expose the Persecution of Falun Gong during the Eastern European Summit

    The summit was attended by leaders from various countries and media outlets. Information about Falun Dafa and the persecution instigated by Jiang Zemin was quickly distributed. A photographer told practitioners that a local TV station would broadcast a report about Falun Gong that evening.
  • Finland: Practitioners asked to Return to a School and let Students Know More about Falun Gong

    The Dafa practitioner briefly introduced the practice, and told the students about the Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong and the terrible human rights abuses in China. After the introduction, everyone practised the exercises together. The reactions were very positive and the effects were apparent. Very soon, there was a serene atmosphere in the classroom and nothing seemed to trouble the students. The students were very grateful, and the teacher was excited when she discovered that she could learn more about the Falun Gong exercises for free at the local practice site.
  • Norway: Celebrating Norwegian National Day in Oslo

    People from all over Oslo came to join in the festivities. Practitioners thought that this would be an excellent chance to meet a lot of people to tell them about Falun Gong and show them the beauty of the exercises. Practitioners also talked about the cruel persecution in Mainland China, which has already resulted in over 700 innocent deaths.
  • Ireland: Practitioners Hold a Two-Day National Fa Study

    County Laois is situated in the heart of rural Ireland and here Irish practitioners held their 2003 national spring Fa study. Most of the practitioners arrived on Sunday June 1st. Soon after arriving, practitioners participated in the 11am global sending forth righteous thoughts, which lasted for five extra minutes as part of the worldwide efforts to assist the lawsuit against Jiang launched in Chicago, after which the Fa study began.
  • Sweden: Practitioners Clarify the Facts and Collect Signatures for the Release of Pirjo Svensson (Part 6)

    One passer-by asked about Pirjo’s detention, signed his name on a petition to call for her release and expressed a wish to help. He returned later with family members and a schoolmate, who also signed the petition. Practitioners’ upright words and righteous actions are touching more and more people.

    Many people expressed their desire to support Falun Gong after viewing the photo exhibition and relevant information. Some said, “We must help this matter.” A teacher from a language school said she would discuss Falun Gong with the Chinese students in her class. Freiburg practitioners will deliver the petition signatures to the International Human Rights Organization in Germany.
  • Sweden: Practitioners Collect Signatures to Appeal for the Release of Pirjo Svensson (Part 5)

    Swedish practitioners have called on people from all walks of life to show concern for Pirjo’s situation. Through this activity, practitioners have exposed the crimes committed by the Jiang regime in brutally persecuting Falun Gong and have also let people know more about the genocide lawsuit against Jiang that has been launched in Chicago.
  • Swedish Government Plans to Adopt a Stronger Stance Regarding the Swedish Falun Gong Practitioner Detained in Thailand

    Swedish officials sent a note about this incident to the Thailand officials, filing an official Swedish protest, requesting the release of Mrs. Pirjo Svensson from detention in Thailand, and demanding an immediate explanation. Several major Swedish media outlets reported immediately on the incident and emphasised Mrs. Svensson’s innocence. Members of the European Parliament, Human Rights organisations in different countries and Swedish citizens wrote letters to the King of Thailand and the Thai Premier to appeal for the immediate release Mrs. Svensson.
  • Belgium: Spreading Falun Gong at the Himalayan Culture Expo

    Amnesty employees stated that the Internet in China is being strictly controlled and monitored and this has led to the internet police in China brutally persecuting people who express their opinions online. The basic human rights of freedom of speech and freedom of information are being trampled on. They said that this is no different from what is happening to Falun Gong practitioners who are still being cruelly persecuted. Amnesty are also doing their best to appeal for Falun Gong practitioners and to provide help to them.
