The Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Wang Yunfei from Tangyuan County, Heilongjiang Province
2011-02-21In 2000, because of practising Falun Gong, Mr. Wang Yunfei was sentenced to one year in a forced labour camp. In 2001, he was sentenced to five years in prison. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) police officers and agents from the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) brutally persecuted him both mentally and physically. His family members and relatives have also been subject to harassment and mental torture. -
Wang Quanliang of Tonghua City, Jilin Province Arrested - Wife Calls for Release
2011-02-20On October 22nd, 2010, my husband Wang Quanliang, who practises Falun Gong, was doing some construction work at home, when a dozen police officers barged into my backyard without showing any identification, or explaining their intrusion. They started beating my husband, and he shouted for help. One policeman said, "Find something to cover his mouth so the neighbours don't hear him.” I was cooking in the kitchen, and when I heard his cries, I rushed out. The moment I reached the door, four police threw me onto the sofa. One of them said that if I tried to get up again, they would beat me. My husband was carried away by four or five men to a car. He was taken to the Guangming Police Station, where his was stripped naked, tied onto a cold metal chair, and locked up for an entire night. -
Mr. Hong Baojia of Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province Endures Years of Persecution
2011-02-20On June 27th, 2003, I was taken to the fifth team of the Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp. The leader was named Zhao Shuang. He said he had 28 methods by which he tortured Falun Gong practitioners. I was beaten and shocked with an electric baton, handcuffed to an iron chair and had water poured over my head, and then shocked again with an electric baton. My arms were pulled back and lifted up to move my joints. I also suffered sexual torture. All of this persecution was due only to my cultivation in Falun Gong. -
Ms. Jia Xinghua's Account of Persecution in Qianjin Forced Labour Camp
2011-02-20Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Jia Xinghua was arrested and sent to Qianjin Forced Labour Camp in Harbin for more than two years. She recounts: "In early 2008, Zhang Bo, head of the No. 1 Division, increased the work quota for each inmate. As the work couldn't be finished in the workshop by 9:00 p.m., we had to take it back to the cell to continue, which exhausted all of us. When we returned to our cells from the workshop on the evening of April 29th, 2008, I could hardly breathe. I opened the window, which was beside my bed, and tried to let in some air. Zhang Bo saw it, and ordered me to close the window, even when I told her that I had difficulty breathing. She viciously said, “Go ahead and suffocate. If you die, I don’t care.” " -
Practitioner from Yunnan Province Recounts Persecution
2011-02-18Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xue Huili was detained in a forced labour camp by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and lost her job. She recounts: "At the camp, guards forced me to write statements to renounce practising Falun Gong and demanded that I give up practising Falun Gong. They also told me that I needed to write to the agency where I worked, to let them know that I had given up the practice, and that I wanted to keep my job. I did not give into their demands. I spoke to the leader of my agency about keeping my job, but to no avail. My husband couldn't cope with the pressure, so he divorced me." -
The Persecution Suffered by Wuhan Falun Gong Practitioner Zhang Wei
2011-02-17Zhang Wei is a Falun Gong practitioner from Wuhan City. Since the Jiang Zemin Jiang Zemin, [former leader of China and instigator of the persecution] regime started the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in 1999, Mr. Zhang has been repeatedly detained and interrogated. His home was ransacked, he was detained at a brainwashing centre, and he was even sentenced to forced labour. -
Further Information about the Staged Tiananmen Square Self-immolation Incident
2011-02-15Ten years ago in January 2001, I was wanted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) because I practise Falun Gong. In order to avoid the persecution I left my hometown and went to Beijing. Several of my relatives and friends were officials in the CCP’s Political and Judiciary Committee and public security system. Therefore, my family often received inside information from them. During our phone conversation that day, my family anxiously and repeatedly warned me, “Do not go to Tiananmen Square on Chinese New Year's Day. A relative who works as an official in the public security system said that Falun Gong practitioners would ‘set themselves on fire’ and that the government knows about the plan in advance and would wait in Tiananmen Square." -
Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Liu Hui Viciously Beaten by Hulan Prison Guards
2011-02-14There are forty to fifty Falun Gong practitioners detained in Hulan Prison in Heilongjiang Province. They have suffered varying degrees of persecution. On November 25th, 2010, practitioner Liu Hui from Fangzheng County, Heilongjiang Province was viciously beaten by prison detective section head Li You and other policemen and was confined to a small cell for one month. He recounts: "Ever since I was detained here, especially during the last one and a half years, I have witnessed Falun Gong practitioners being beaten and tortured by prison guards and inmates." -
Personal Account of the Persecution Suffered by Ms. Song Huilan from Heilongjiang Province
2011-02-11Ms. Song Huilan has suffered repeated persecution by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents for practising Falun Gong. In her own words: "On July 1st, 2010, two fellow practitioners and I went to Jixiang Town to distribute Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution. Someone reported us to the police, and we were arrested and taken to the Tangyuan County Detention Centre. Officers ordered us to wear jail uniforms but we did not cooperate. They beat us and verbally abused us. On the fourth day, officer Song came in with a pile of documents and ordered us to sign them. None of us cooperated. He threatened us and said that we would be detained for a month whether we signed the documents or not. In order to protest the persecution, I went on a hunger strike for 18 days. When I was on the verge of death, they notified my family to pick me up." -
Ms. Li Xiaoxia Sentenced to Forced Labour Twice, Her Family Torn Apart
2011-02-07Ms. Li Xiaoxia has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) because she refuses to renounce her practice of Falun Gong. In October 2000, she was sentenced to three years of forced labour. In September 2006, she was again sentenced to two years in a forced labour camp. In her own words: "In the camp, I was forced to perform laborious work and tortured mentally and physically. I was cursed at, mocked, not allowed to use the toilet, and forced to sit on a chair for a long time. After three years, I was released." -
Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Cai Rong Recounts Brutal Persecution
2011-02-01Ms. Cai Rong was persecuted many times during the past ten years. She was grossly abused and mistreated in the Jiamusi Forced Labour Camp during her two terms. She recounts her experience in the labour camp: "Several practitioners and I used to tear down slogans that slandered Falun Gong's founder. The guards were aggressive about abusing and mistreating practitioners. Zhu Tiehong banged my head against a wall. I was dizzy and saw stars. Guards Li Xiujin and Jiang Jianan hit me ferociously, slapping my cheeks and kicking me with their leather boots. I was beaten black and blue all over my body. Even after few months, I was still covered with dark bruises." -
Persecution of Ms. Li Yumei from Shuangcheng, Heilongjiang Province
2011-01-30Ms. Li Yumei was persecuted many times by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) because she refused to renounce practising Falun Gong. She recounts her experience: "On January 17th, 2001, I went to appeal in Beijing and displayed a banner that read “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” at Tiananmen Square. I was arrested there and sent to Daxing County Detention Centre, where I went on a hunger strike. The authorities intravenously injected me every two days. I would not cooperate, and was kicked and beaten by criminals. I was then shackled, and dragged out and tied to a bed to be connected to the IV. My weight declined rapidly, my mouth was dry, and my gums bled. My mouth foamed when I talked, and I fainted once because my blood pressure was so low." -
First-Hand Account of Persecution as Told by a 54-Year-Old Woman from Jinzhou, Liaoning Province
2011-01-29I am a 54-year-old Falun Gong practitioner. Because of my belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, I was repeatedly arrested and tortured. In 2001, I was detained again and I protested by going on a hunger strike. Seven or eight criminal detainees participated in force-feeding me under the instigation of the police. They put me down on a "tiger bench" and tied me up with metal wire, twisting the wire with a pair of pliers until it cut into my flesh, causing excruciating pain. My arms turned black and blue. Then the police inserted a tube (the width of a finger) into my throat. Blood instantly gushed from it. -
Ms. Yang Jinying Persecuted to Death Seven Years Ago; Her Son Recently Files an Indictment
2011-01-28Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yang Jinying was persecuted to death at the age of only 53 in November 2003. She was subjected to so much torture that she became paralyzed and lost control of her bodily functions. Even though her condition was critical, the police still sentenced her to three years of imprisonment. Her two sons were attending middle school at the time. Mr. Wang Lei, Ms. Yang's older son, recently filed an indictment against the Qiaocheng District Police Department for persecuting his mother to death. He requested an investigation and the prosecution of those responsible. -
Former Bully Now Bullied by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for Practising Falun Gong
2011-01-28From a very young age, Mr. Ding Xuesen was aggressive, and he smoked and drank. He was a bully in school and often involved in group fights. After practising Falun Gong, he was no longer aggressive and became a person with high morals. However, after the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution of Falun Gong, Mr. Ding was brutally tortured because he believed in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
