Mr. Liao Shikai from Chongqing City Tortured to Death in 2001

One day at the end of 2001, the police took practitioner Mr. Liao Shikai, in his 40s, to the police station. By the next day, he had been tortured to death. (Note: Mr. Liao was very healthy when he was taken away.) The police were afraid to bear the responsibility for this crime so they did not allow Mr. Liao's family to see his body or take pictures. They directly cremated Mr. Liao's body. The local residents protested the injustice inflicted upon Mr. Liao Shikai. The police dispatched many police vehicles to disperse the protesters in the name of "maintaining public order." -
Three Practitioners Persecuted to Death in Liaoning, Sichuan and Heilongjiang Provinces
2006-02-03Mr. Li Hongliang, about thirty years old, was a doctor. After the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal many times. Consequently, the 610 Office, the public security agents, people from his workplace repeatedly arrested, detained and persecuted him at a detention centre and at a mental hospital. The authorities released him only after he suffered a mental collapse. Due to his mental trauma which resulted from the torture, he jumped off of a tall building and died. -
Five Dafa Practitioners from Sichuan, Jilin, Liaoning and Hebei Provinces Die from Persecution
2006-02-03Because she distributed leaflets exposing the persecution in October 2001, 57-year-old Ms. Chen Guohua was sentenced to a year and a half in a forced labour camp, and was detained at a detention centre for seven months. When she distributed leaflets in 2004, she was arrested and taken back to the detention centre for more torture. A few days after her return home, she was once again arrested and taken to the detention centre. After continuous torture and long-term persecution, Ms. Chen Guohua died on December 18th, 2005. -
Practitioner Mr. Liu Changling from Shandong Province Died Due to Persecution
2006-02-02Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Changling, an engineer from the Qiuji Coal Mine of Qihe County in Shandong Province, was arrested and detained numerous times after the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Dafa in July 1999. Mr. Liu passed away on July 22nd, 2005, at the age of 56. Just over a month before he passed away, Mr. Liu was still under surveillance and was almost arrested. -
Five Dafa Practitioners from Liaoning, Inner Mongolia Provinces and Chongqing City Died As A Result of Persecution
2006-02-02After the persecution began in 1999, 34-year-old Mr. Li Baoqing went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and was detained many times. Once an engineer, he was demoted and worked in a factory. In October 1999, he was sentenced to two years in a forced-labour camp, where he suffered all sorts of torture. His company fired him while he was incarcerated. They confiscated his house, and his wife divorced him and took all the money they had saved together. The long-term persecution destroyed his health, affected his spirit and cut off his income. On July 3rd, 2005, he died on the way to the hospital. -
Mr. Yu Huinan Dies from Torture at Suzhou Prison; Mr. Chen Guang in Coma for Six Months
2006-02-0160-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yu Huinan was tortured at the Suzhou Prison for five years. He died on January 4th, 2006. His wife and two daughters are incarcerated. Practitioner Chen Guang was sentenced to eight years in prison for practising Falun Gong. Mr. Chen suffered severe brain damage from torture on July 29th, 2005 and has already been in a deep coma for six months. -
Four Falun Dafa Practitioners from Shandong, Shanxi and Heilongjiang Provinces Die as a Result of Persecution
2006-02-01Ms. Wang Chongxia, in her 60's, went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for Dafa on December 22nd, 2000. The police from the Qianmen Substation arrested her. Later on the Shanxi Government Office in Beijing detained her. The police also raided her home. In April 2001, she was sent to a brainwashing session located in the Zhenchen Male Labour Camp in Taiyuan City. She did not get home until July. Policeman Gao Feng continued to harass her by visiting her home frequently. Serious symptoms redeveloped and she passed away in June 2005. -
Three Senior Citizens from Jilin Province, Gansu Province and Chongqing City Passed Away After Enduring Persecution
2006-02-01Ms. Yu Yonghua was over 70. After July 20th, 1999, due to the severe persecution of Falun Dafa, and also due to the intense pressure from the local government in which her second son held the position of the Chief of the Village, her oldest son and daughter-in-law kept her from doing the exercises. Consequently, Ms. Yu's old illnesses recurred and she passed away in January 2003. -
Six Persecution-Related Deaths of Practitioners from Sichuan, Hebei, and Jilin Province
2006-02-01Mr. Lu Bin, 50, was a practitioner from Hebei Province. He worked at the county's fertiliser plant but was fired from his job because he refused to give up Falun Dafa. When he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in 2000, the government officials took him to the Shijingshan Police Station in Beijing and subjected him to cruel treatment. Both his mind and body suffered severely. As a result, his former illnesses recurred, and he died in the winter of 2002. -
In Memory of Fellow Practitioner Ms Zou Guirong
2006-01-31"Zou Guirong was had big eyes that shone in her round face and she smiled gently all the time. I remember the first time I met Zou Guirong; it was at the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp in February or March of 2000. The wicked guards at Masanjia stripped such a kind woman, poured cold water on her, and four or five female guards shocked her with electric batons, and said, "This is fun." However, Zou Guirong did not surrender to the torture, which lasted for more than four hours. All of the inhumane torture was conducted in secret. I witnessed that her body was covered with injures, black and purple all over." -
Lanzhou Practitioner Ms. Zhen Fengru Dies as a Result of Persecution
2006-01-31Ms. Zhen Fengru, a Falun Gong practitioner in Lanzhou City, was arrested and sent to a brainwashing centre on October 26th, 2004. She suffered tremendously from the inhumane persecution both mentally and physically. She was later isolated from her son and confined to her house when her son was threatened by the authorities. She collapsed mentally and passed away in September 2005. -
Four Elderly Practitioners from Shanxi, Hebei, Jilin and Anhui Provinces Pass Away Due to Persecution
2006-01-31Practitioner Mr. Liu Mingzhong, 68, went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. He was arrested by police and taken to a forced labour camp, where he was brutally tortured by the guards. All of his clothes were stripped off and cold water was poured on him from head to toe. He was forced to sleep on the cold floor. The guards also used the toilet brush to brush water onto his body. After several days of torture, Liu Mingzhong became critically ill and was released to seek medical care. After Mr. Liu returned home, he was constantly harassed by the police. Mr. Liu Mingzhong's spirit was greatly injured by the severe persecution, and he finally passed away, with sadness, in August 2005. -
How Elderly Practitioner Ms Liu Xingyun Was Persecuted to Death
2006-01-30On November 18th, 2005 65-year-old Ms. Liu Xingyun passed away due to persecution. Before her death, she suffered numerous forms of persecution, such as illegal arrests, detention, extortion, and illegal searches of her home. The day before she passed away, several staff members from the local 610 Office and police department went to Ms. Liu's home to harass her. The Tanghai County Government, county police department and the so-called "Transformation School" (brainwashing centre) are responsible for Liu Xingyun's death. -
Older Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Chen Guoxiang Dies as a Result of Persecution
2006-01-2855-year-old Mr. Chen Guoxiang was an engineer in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The persecutors detained him twice in Wuyuan Forced Labour Camp in Bameng City. Because of suffering torture in the labour camp, Mr. Chen became emaciated, and developed excessive fluid accumulation around the heart, in the lungs and abdomen. He died on December 19th, 2005. -
Older Dafa Practitioner Mr Du Shiliang from Hailing City Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances in Mudanjiang Prison
2006-01-27On January 27th, 2002, Mr. Du Shiliang, in his 50s and his wife were arrested by police. Mr. Du was sentenced to six years of imprisonment and his wife was sentenced to three years. In September 2002, they were sent to Mudanjiang Prison. On January 13th, 2006, Mr. Du's wife went to Mudanjiang Prison to visit him, and his health condition was normal. At 11:00 p.m. on January 20th, 2006, she suddenly received a message saying that Mr. Du Shiliang had died at 9:00 p.m. on January 20th, 2006. The detailed information is still under investigation.
