Retired Teacher Mr. Liu Yupu from Henan Province Dies As a Result of Persecution
2004-04-14
Mr. Liu Yupu was a retired teacher in Henan Province. He suffered from an incurable liver disease and was dying. It was through discovering the practice of Falun Gong that he made a marvelous, complete recovery. However once the persecution of Falun Gong began he was detained, brainwashed and tortured many times. He was forced to eat spicy food, which caused damage to his body and he passed away on April 2, 2004. -
Dafa Practitioner Mr. Meng Jixiang from Tianjin City Dies from Torture
2004-04-13Mr. Meng Jixiang was a 60-year-old Dafa practitioner from Tianjin City. He used to work for the Tianjin City Party School. Because he was dedicated in practising Dafa, he was sentenced to forced labour education in mid-January 2001. In January 2003, his term was extended by one year without cause. On September 22, 2003, the police at the labour camp informed his family to pick him up. At that time, he was on the verge of death. Four days after he returned home, he passed away. -
Zhejiang Province Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Zhou Fengping Is Tortured to Death and Her Mother is Missing
2004-04-13In 2001 Ms. Zhou Fengping from Zhejiang Province, was abducted by the police due to posting Falun Gong flyers, and then sentenced to "reeducation through forced labour." Ms. Zhou was tortured in the forced labour camp until she had a mental breakdown, and was released a year later because the authorities did not want to take responsibility if she died there. After coming home, Ms. Zhou continued to suffer from the effects of the mental breakdown, and then after 6 months at home, she passed away. -
Deceived by Jiang's Fabrications, Heilongjiang Province Non-Practitioner Kills His Practitioner Wife
2004-04-1334 year old Heilongjiang Province Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Cao Yanfeng, her 36 year old husband Jiang Li (not a practitioner), and their 11-year-old daughter had a warm family. Soon after she began cultivating Falun Dafa, her ailments disappeared, and her husband supported her doing the practice. After the persecution began Jiang Li was afraid that his family would be targetted. He beat his wife to stop her from practising and would not accept that she wanted to continue the practice. On February 27, 2004, Jiang Li came home drunk and hacked his wife to death with an axe. -
The Experiences of Murdered Falun Dafa Practitioner Li Xiaoyuan
2004-04-12Li Xiaoyuan came from Liaoning Province. A dedicated practitioner he was thrown into Guanshan Labour Camp. It contains a stone quarry, where police and criminal offenders take turns beating up other inmates routinely. Li Xiaoyuan was beaten so brutally that his body was covered with injuries. On November 9, 2003 the police finally tortured this 46-year old, formerly healthy and kind man, to death. According to witnesses, Li Xiaoyuan's legs and abdomen bore many injuries. -
Young Military Officer Yao Yaoyuan Is Tortured to Death
2004-04-11Mr. Yao Yaoyuan graduated from the PLA (People's Liberation Army) Science and Technology University, and was assigned a job in the Wuhan City Army Equipment College. Because he kept practising Falun Dafa, Mr. Yao was dismissed from the Party, dismissed from the army (after serving one year as Vice Battalion Commander), and fired from his job. He was sent to a labour camp and after suffering severe torture died on June 6 2003. -
Torture Cases of Dafa Practitioners by Police Officers and Criminal Inmates in Daqing City
2004-04-11The Daqing Prison began detaining Falun Dafa practitioners in 2000. In order to gain political benefits, the prison authorities used various methods to torture detained Dafa practitioners in an effort to make them renounce Falun Dafa. Their methods included coercing common criminal inmates to physically torture practitioners, depriving practitioners of sleep for extended periods, depriving them of going outdoors, of having family visits, and even of talking. -
More Facts about the Death of Lawyer Li Jian Due to Beatings and Excessive Slave Labour
2004-04-10Mr. Li Jian was a lawyer from Henan Province. Because he refused to give up Falun Gong, the No. 3 Forced Labour Camp of Henan Province tortured him repeatedly. After a long hard day of slave labour and beatings, worn out, Li Jian said on the way back to another practitioner, " I really cannot stand this anymore. They want to torture me to death." He died on April 26, 2002. -
As the UN Human Rights Commission Meets in Geneva, Ms. Wang Guofang Dies from Torture in China's Daqing City
2004-04-08Ms. Wang Guofang, a 42 year old Falun Dafa practitioner from Heilongjiang Province, was arrested and sent to Qiqihar Forced Labour Camp. On March 15, 2004, her family received a phone call from the labour camp. They were told that Wang Guofang was being released and were instructed to come to the labour camp. When the family arrived, Wang Guofang was dead. She was persecuted to death as the United Nations Human Rights Commission was meeting in Geneva, Switzerland. -
Daqing City Outstanding Teacher Ms. Gao Shuqin Falls to Her Death as a Result of Police Harassment (Photo)
2004-04-08Dafa practitioner Ms. Gao Shuqin, 51 years old, was a middle school teacher in Daqing City. She was named an Outstanding Teacher of Daqing City. At midnight, police officers went to Gao Shuqin's house and locked the door from the outside. At noon on March 27, Gao Shuqin made several calls for help but received no response. With no choice left, she tied a bed sheet to a window and tried to climb down. Unfortunately, the sheet tore in half when she was in midair, and she fell to her death. -
How Mr. Xun Ruilin Was Persecuted Before Death
2004-04-08Hebei Province Dafa practitioner Mr. Xun Ruilin was arrested along with many other practitioners when they were exchanging cultivation experiences. The chief of the police department, Li Zhide, ordered four or five policemen to beat Xun Ruilin, which they did until his white shirt turned red. He immediately went on hunger strike to protest his illegal and brutal treatment, whereupon the police force-fed him as a form of torture. He died on September 8 2002. The police took his corpse to the county hospital and staged a scene, for the benefit of his family members, making it appear as if doctors had attempted to rescue him from the brink of death. -
Female Practitioner Dies When Cancer Recurs after Being Detained and Denied the Right to Practise Falun Gong
2004-04-08Ms. Yan Suyun, in her 40's, was a Falun Gong practitioner who lived in Zhejiang Province. The doctors at the major hospitals had previously diagnosed her with cancer and determined that there was no cure. After that she began practising Falun Gong, and soon her cancer began to go into remission and she recovered completely. Later she was arrested and detained at a detention centre. Police there strictly prohibited her from practising Falun Gong and eventually her cancer symptoms returned and due to police negligence she died form cancer. -
Long-Term Persecution Leads to Death of Mr. Li Chuanwen from Meihekou City
2004-04-07Mr. Li Chuanwen was 54 years old and from Jilin Province. He was arrested and detained six times from October 1999 until his death on March 10th 2004. During this whole period he suffered excruciating torture which eventually lead to his death. According to the man on duty in the mortuary, on the day of Li's death, the police patrolled outside until midnight. The next morning, seven people from the police department, the political and legal committee and the "610 Office" came and picked up Li's corpse. It is not known where they took his body. -
Hubei Province Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Chen Rongyao Was Tortured to Death in May 2002 (Photo)
2004-04-07Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Chen Rongyao from Wuhan City, Hubei Province was arrested by police from the Qiaokou Station on January 6, 2002. Police ransacked his home on the same day and confiscated They took away two stereos, one bike, and 13,000 yuan in cash, which was Chen's daughter's savings. He was sent to the Etouwan No.1 Detention Centre, where he was tortured severely. He died in the hospital on May 15, 2002. -
Daqing City Police Responsible for Death of Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Guofang
2004-04-07Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Guofang was 42-year-old. She lived in Daqing City. In 2002, she was arrested and was sent to Shuanghe Labour Camp in Qiqihar City. The labour camp authorities told Wang Guofang's family that she died from heart disease. However, sources reveal that lately the authorities of Shuanghe Labour Camp have been brutally torturing determined Dafa practitioners in order to reach the quota for "reformed" Falun Gong practitioners. In mid March 2004, she was tortured to death in the custody of Daqing City police.
