2008-07-15Falun Gong practitioners organised a 'Falun Gong Information Day' in Titi See in the Black Forest. They hoped to raise awareness about the Chinese Communist Party's nine year persecution of Falun Gong and to support the wave of Chinese people quitting the Chinese Communist Party, as well as the affiliated youth and young pioneers. -
Slovakia: Falun Gong Practitioners Raise Awareness about Falun Dafa in Poprad and Climb Kralova Holy Mountain
2008-07-14On July 4th, Falun Gong practitioners from Slovakia visited Poprad, a city in eastern Slovakia, in order to inform people there about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Although the weather was not very favourable in the beginning and it even rained a little, the passers-by were not discouraged. They stopped at the petition table, read the information material and signed the petition. -
Finland: Practitioners in Helsinki Raise Awareness about the Persecution
2008-07-13On July 5th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners from Helsinki made use of the weekend break to go to the railway station. They went to raise awareness about Falun Gong and inform them about the ten years of brutal persecution endured by Falun Gong practitioners at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party. -
French MP asks Government to Protect Falun Gong Practitioners
2008-07-12On May 17th, 2008, when the French city Nancy held a meeting regarding the persecution of Falun Gong, French MP M. Roland Ena, a former minister and present aid to the Mayor of Nancy, wrote to the French government asking for protection of Falun Gong practitioners’ rights and ending the persecution of Falun Gong in China. -

Sweden: Protest against the CCP's Persecution of Falun Gong at the Chinese Consulate in Goteborg
2008-07-10"The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China is bitter and merciless. My elder brother has been illegally imprisoned because he practises Falun Gong. So far over 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death, some of whom happen to be my acquaintances. We won't stop protesting until the persecution is ended. Germany: German Cities Hold Activities to Mark "Global CCP Quitting Day"
2008-07-08In the run-up to "Global CCP-Quitting Day", activities supporting the 39 million withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations were held in nine cities in Germany on June 28th, 2008. Many people signed a petition urging the Chinese Communist regime to put an end to the persecution of Falun Gong before the opening of the Beijing Olympics. -

This year, Falun Gong practitioners took part in the 2008 Golowan Festival, bringing the peacefulness and goodness of Dafa to the local residents and visitors to Penzance. -
Switzerland: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong in Zurich
2008-07-07On June 28th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners’ information stand again appeared on Bahnhofstrasse Avenue close to Zurich train station in Switzerland. As usual, pictures of Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) were hung around the tent. The little table displayed leaflets and petition forms in various languages. -
Finland: The People of Assen Sign their Names in Support of Falun Gong
2008-07-07On May 17th, 2008, Finnish Falun Gong practitioners held an activity in Assen. Assen is the most quickly developing city in Drenthe province in the northern part of Finland. Practitioners displayed banners and distributed leaflets calling on people to come to the petition table and sign their names in support of Falun Gong practitioners and demanding an end to the CCP’s persecution. Practitioners also displayed the five peaceful and gentle exercises of Falun Gong. -

Finland: Candlelight Vigil to Mourn Those Who Lost Their Lives During the Persecution of Falun Gong in China
2008-07-05On International Day in Support of Torture Victims, Falun Gong practitioners in Finland came to the city centre and held a candlelight vigil to mourn practitioners who have been persecuted to death. A Falun Gong practitioner Anja said, “The thunder and rainfall have not stopped people from coming to find out more. On the contrary, people came of their own accord to learn about the truth and signed their names expressing their support”. -
Belgium: The Vice-President of the European Parliament is Gravely Concerned about the Torture of Falun Gong Practitioners
2008-07-04June 26th was International Anti-Torture Day. During a rally with the theme “Torture Is Terrorist Action” organised by Amnesty International, Vice President of the European Parliament Mr Edward McMillan-Scott gave a speech. He said, "We know that torture in China is widespread and this must stop.”
