  • The Persecution Suffered by Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wen Aixia and Her Family

    Ms. Wen Aixia and her husband, Mr. Li Aige, suffered all kinds of persecution simply because they practise Falun Gong. During the last seven years of the persecution the couple has been detained many times and separated from their child on various occasions. Mr. Li Aige was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment for speaking to people about the facts of Falun Dafa and is now held at Baoding No. 1 Jail. Her father-in-law died as a result of harassment by the officials and missing his son. Ms. Wen had to carry her son while travelling from one place to another to avoid persecution.

    On June 5th, 2000, three practitioners and I went to Tiananmen Square to appeal to the government. We were sent to a detention centre. I had just turned 17 and finished school. I arrived at the detention centre terrified and in despair. On June 27th my family took me home. I was infected with scabies from the detention centre and spread it to my entire family. In April 2002 the authorities began a large-scale arrest of practitioners. I was sentenced to two years in a forced labour camp. We were forced to pick more than 100 pounds of beans, one by one, from sunrise until sunset.

    On the evening of May 19th, 2006, Haidian Public Security Branch Bureau arrested Mr. Bu Dongwei, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Beijing. On August 15th, Mr. Bu's family received a "Statement of Reeducation through Labour" from the Legal System of the Haidian Public Security Branch Bureau, Beijing Public Security Bureau. The statement claims Bu Dongwei had hidden 80 copies of so-called Falun Gong "propaganda material" and thus was sentenced to two and one half years of forced labour. His family stated that they had only had several copies of Falun Gong books and didn't have any other materials.
  • Ding Haiqing's Suffering at Heizuizi Women's Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City

    Guards used all kinds of cruel tactics to make Ms Ding Haiqing "transform," but to no avail. Ding Haiqing remained firm in her belief in Dafa. Therefore, Hou Zhihong beat her cruelly. The tortures she suffered included the "flying the airplane" and touching the head to the feet. When she could not reach that position, the guards kicked her, tortured her with electric batons, stabbed her with nails, and hit her hands against the windowsill, injuring her hands. She also suffered sleep deprivation if she did not finish what she was told to write. They forced her to stand for 17 hours (from 7 a.m. to midnight) daily without moving.
  • Details of the Unjust Arrests of More Than 20 Dafa Practitioners from Liaoning Province

    On July 22nd, 2006, more than 20 Dafa practitioners were arrested and imprisoned in the Panjin Jail and Detention Centre. The perpetrators did not show any credentials when they arrested them and confiscated these Dafa practitioners' property. In addition, some of the practitioners' family members were beaten and even arrested. Mr. Zou Liming's daughter was beaten and many places on her body were black and blue; Mr. Zhang Yawei's wife was beaten and his brother-in-law was arrested. At noon on July 22nd, the police held a banquet at Shaling Town to celebrate their arrest of so many practitioners.
  • 65-Year-Old Ms. Xu Xiuwen Persecuted by Banan District Detention Centre and Yongchuan Prison

    Elderly Dafa practitioner Ms. Xu Xiuwen was persecuted because of her steadfast faith in Falun Dafa. Police cruelly tortured her in order to extract a confession. She was later imprisoned in Banan District Detention Centre and Yongchuan Prison, and persecuted for three and half years before she was released. After being tortured for so long, she became severely sick. Her lower abdomen swelled and she could not eat, drink, or move. However, the guards still forced her to work. Her body was severely injured.
  • Falun Dafa Practitioner on Hunger Strike in Pingquan Detention Centre Is in Life-threatening Situation

    On August 16th, 2006, police raided a Falun Gong practitioner's house and arretsed seven practitioners. One visiting practitioner refused to tell her name or address, and has been on hunger strike for more than ten days to protest the persecution. Her physical condition is very weak, and her life is in danger. The Detention Centre Administration refused to release her, and strictly sealed all information about her.
  • Practitioner Ms. Zhang Lianrong from Hebei Province Suffered Mental Collapse After Repeated Torture and Died in Accident

    Ms Zhang Lianrong recovered from all her illnesses after she began practising Falun Dafa. She obtained both mental and physical health. Since the persecution began in 1999, Zhang and her family members have been constantly harassed and threatened by local Chinese Communist Party (CCP) government officials and police. In spring of 2001, Zhang was abducted to the police station where she was tortured to the extent that she became mentally unstable and physically ruined. A few days after she returned home, she was found dead beside the Juma River near the village.
  • Ms. Guo Fengge Found Dead One Day after Being Released from a Forced Labour Camp

    Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Guo Fengge was in her 50s. Her husband is the Town CCP official. He brutally beat Ms. Guo many times and threatened to divorce her many times. At the end of 2004, Guo Fengge was arrested and sentenced to forced labour. On August 1st, 2006, she returned home after her forced labour term ended. Her fellow practitioners saw that she was in good spirits, and greeted her. However, Ms. Guo died early in the morning on August 2nd, 2006, near the railroad tracks at the Miyun County Train Station.
  • Call for an Investigation into the Death of Ms. Yuan Suxian in Chongqing City in 2005

    It has been a year since the persecution death of practitioner Ms. Yuan Suxian in the Jiulongpo Area of Chongqing City. Another practitioner, Fan Defang, who was also arrested at the same time and was the person who revealed the details of Ms. Yuan's death due to persecution, has been sentenced to three years in prison. In January 2005, Ms. Yuan Suxian picked up Falun Gong materials off the ground, showed them to someone, were reported, arrested and sent to jail. On July 29th, 2005, Ms. Yuan suddenly passed out in the jail, foaming at the mouth. She died the next day in the hospital. The jail did not give any explanation to her family members regarding the cause of death.
  • Further Details About Mr. Xu Jishan's Being Tortured to Death in Daqing City Prison

    Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Xu Jishan, 41, was sentenced to three years of imprisonment in March 2004. He was incarcerated in Daqing Prison because he handed out Falun Gong materials and often tortured. On June 5th, 2005 many people witnessed the whole process of torturing Mr. Xu through the door. Criminal Ying Youzeng peeked through the door and said, "These people are killing a Falun Gong practitioner. He is dying!" He was sent to hospital but it was too late and he died.
  • Practitioner Ms. Wang Lianrong Passes Away While Living in Exile After Losing Two Sons and a Daughter Due to Persecution

    Three of Wang Lianrong's four children died as a result of persecution. Her oldest son Chen Aizhong was tortured to death at the Hehuakeng Labour Camp in Tangshan City on September 20th, 2001. Her younger daughter Chen Hongping had both legs broken from beating and was eventually tortured to death at the Gaoyang Labour Camp on March 5th, 2003. Her younger son Chen Aili was tortured to the brink of death at the Jidong Prison, Tangshan City and passed away on November 5th, 2004. Her older daughter Chen Shulan is still held in prison.
  • Due to Persecution Mr. Su Yonglun Dies One Day after His Release from Chenzhou Prison in Hunan Province

    Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Su Yonglun was sentenced to five years' imprisonment because he refused to renounce his belief in Dafa. Su Yonglun was in very good health before he was arrested. He was persecuted to near death at Chenzhou Prison. Mr. Su's daughter and wife went to see him. They almost could not recognise him. His complexion was sallow and skinny, and his abdomen was swollen. His voice was so faint that it was hard to hear. He was not able to walk by himself and two persons supported him. Chenzhou Prison was afraid to take responsibility and released Mr. Su on August 16th, 2006. He died as a result of the persecution the next day.

    Baimalong Women's Forced Labour Camp authorities use various tortures to persecute practitioners: handcuffs, electric batons, forced standing, continuous squats, beatings, stabbing the body with fingers and sewing needles, confinement in strait jackets with hands tied up behind the back. Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Qing, was monitored by five prisoners. They gagged her with tape and beat her on her head and body until the broom and small backless stool they were using broke.

    We experienced the most agonising fourteen days of suffering from various tortures there. That same afternoon and the entire evening of our arrival at the detention centre, the guards forbade us from eating and sleeping. It was during the chill of winter. No one in the detention centre provided us with anything to keep out the cold. Several criminals who sympathised with Dafa practitioners shared their bedding. The food at that detention centre was fit only for animals. We were subjected to interrogation at the detention centre, and the guards attempted to force us to provide our fingerprints. Our fingers were broken but they failed.
