Government Plan to Investigate Corruption and Abuse of Power is Used as a Ruse to Lure Practitioners to Come Forward

There was an article in the Ying Bao Weekly Review in Hunan Province stating, "The open-door policy of the Public Security Bureau benefits the harmony of the society." After local Falun Dafa practitioners read these articles, they went to the local appeal office and reported the persecution and abuse they received over the past six years. Their purpose was to ask the officers and officials not to commit any more crimes and to not abuse the kind, law-abiding citizens who practise Falun Gong. To their great surprise, officials from the local appeal office, the police, and the town "610 Office" arrested, beat, searched and detained the practitioners right on the spot. -
The Details of Mr Yuan Qingjiang's Death in Daqing Prison
2005-08-14Mr. Yuan Qingjiang was abducted on March 7th 2003, and was sentenced to prison. In prison he suffered severe persecution. He was forced to remain standing for 18 days without sleep and was brutally beaten, which caused excess fluid in his chest, difficulties in movement and loss of consciousness. Later he was brutally beaten again. As a result, he coughed up blood, and developed cirrhosis of the liver with ascites and severe emaciation. When his health was in a very dangerous condition, he was taken by the prison authorities to the prison hospital for so-called "treatment" which was, as the criminals put it, the same as being sentenced to death. Finally, Mr. Yuan Qingjiang died on July 23rd 2005. -
I Got Out of the Jiamusi City Forced Labour Camp Alive after Suffering Extreme Torture
2005-08-14"I was imprisoned in the Jiamusi Forced Labour Camp by the local police because I practise Falun Dafa. I suffered nearly two years of persecution in the labour camp. The guards there treated practitioners in a manner too cruel to describe. Guards handcuffed me in the "big back-cuffing" position [this is a very painful form of torture in which one arm is pulled down the back behind the head and the other hand is raised up from the lower back. The two hands are handcuffed together, causing unbearable pain]. I was handcuffed for two hours in this extremely painful position. I got out alive from the labour camp, but suffered extreme torture." -
Many Falun Dafa Practitioners' Joints Are Dislocated by Multiple Torture Sessions in the Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp
2005-08-14Chaoyanggou Labour Camp used the following torture methods to force Falun Dafa practitioners to renounce the practice: pouring cold water on practitioners; pressing down on their legs with force; forcing the double lotus position and then throwing down practitioners to the ground after raising them up in the air; immobilising the legs and elbow joints with sticks and then using an electric baton to shock the arms, anus, and the whole body; using an electric baton to shock practitioners after pouring cold water onto their bodies; tying up the practitioners with rope and a stick, and then turning the sticks with force, making the rope cut into the flesh; handcuffing and then hanging up practitioners by the cuffs; and beating them with tool handles or other hard objects. -
Xie Zhonggui from Guiyang City Arrested, 76-Year-Old Mother Injured By Police

76-year-old Ms Pi Yiming learned of her son's arrest and she went to the police station to reason with them but did not get any result. Six or seven policemen grabbed and twisted her arms and legs and beat her badly. They harshly stuffed her into a vehicle, causing this 76-year-old woman various injuries. -
70-Year-Old Falun Dafa Practitioner Tortured to the Brink of Death in Hebei Province
2005-08-13Mr. Shi Zhimin is 70 years old. When the persecution of Falun Dafa began in 1999, Mr.Shi went to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa, giving his own personal testimonials. He was arrested more than ten times by the police and government agents, had his home ransacked, and was put in detention and sentenced to forced labour. In December of 2004, he was arrested by the local police and detained in a detention centre. Mr. Shi went on a hunger strike to protest this treatment and was then put in handcuffs round the clock. Once he was restrained on the "Dead Man's Bed" for three entire days. He lost so much weight that he looked emaciated and was unable to move on his own. He often would faint, could not talk and developed an enormous boil near his tailbone. -
63-Year-Old Ms. Qin Qingfang Dies from Persecution at the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp
2005-08-13In December 2000, Ms. Qin Qingfang, 63, was arrested for being persistent in her practice of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Her husband witnessed her arrest and was so frightened that he suffered a stroke, losing the ability to speak and also becoming paralysed. With no one else to look after Ms. Qi's ageing father and her eight-year-old grandson, the authorities still sentenced Ms. Qi to three years of forced labour and was thus sent to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp in September 2004 for three years of forced labour. Nine More Practitioners from Shanxi, Gansu and Henan Provinces Persecuted to Death
2005-08-13Ms. Zhang Xiuling was 68 years old, and her entire family practises Falun Gong. They have been brutally persecuted over the past six years. The police publicly humiliated and denounced Ms. Zhang by parading her around the streets with a cardboard sign hanging around her neck. Her oldest son died in the hands of the Fuchen Police Department. Ms. Zhang was arrested many times. Because of the constant harassment from government officials and police officers, Ms. Zhang died in July of 2005. A few days after her death, police from Wangji Town Police Station arrested her older daughter. Her younger daughter has become homeless to avoid the persecution. -
Four Falun Dafa Practitioners in Liaoning and Hebei Provinces Die Due to Persecution
2005-08-13Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Wengui, 71, lived in Hebei Province. At the end of October 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal together with his wife and son, but he was taken back. His employer and local 610 Office withheld his salary, imposed fines on him and unjustly sentenced him to prison. The persecutors also withheld his wife's salary and forced her into financial hardship before sending her to a detention centre. The persecutors withheld his son's salary and forced him to go through brainwashing sessions three times, and detained the son for two months. At the same time Li Wengui had to pay for his five year-old granddaughter's living expenses. Under long-term persecution, Mr. Li Wengui died on August 4th 2003. -
Practitioners Beaten to Death at Harbin Prison No. 3 and Tailai Prison
2005-08-12On April 4th 2004, Dafa practitioner Wang Dayuan (former lecturer of the Computing Department of Harbin Industrial University) was beaten to death at this prison. That day, the prison guards enticed four prisoners with shortened jail terms to coerce them to beat Mr. Wang Dayuan. First they broke his arms, then his breastbone. Then they pushed his broken breastbone inside his chest, and subsequently broke Mr. Wang's legs. Even after all this, the vicious prisoners did not stop torturing Mr. Wang. They forced him to crawl, and beat him while he was crawling. Eventually Wang Dayuan stopped breathing. -
Additional Information on the Death of Practitioner Ms. Liu Jie in Heilongjiang Province in 2003
2005-08-12Ms. Liu Jie was killed for no reason, leaving her paralysed father-in-law, her frail and ailing mother-in-law, and her young son with no one to take care of them. No one dared to tell her parents-in-law what really happened. The mother-in-law asked, "How come Ms. Liu has not come home yet?" They had to lie and say that she was sentenced to a prison term. The distressing news caused the elderly lady to lose her eyesight. They sent her to a hospice in Haerbin to recuperate. A year later, she found out the truth by accident and could not stop crying. -
Four Falun Dafa Practitioners from Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Heilongjiang and Sichuan Provinces Die as a Result of the Persecution
2005-08-12Mr. Peng Dong, 29, was a college graduate. Because he was a Falun Dafa practitioner, he was sent to Zaozihe Forced Labour Camp for two and a half years, where he suffered from brutal tortures. In 2002, because he refused to submit to the Communist Party's demands, Mr. Peng was sent to the isolation room and very heavily tortured. He was tied to the "dead person's bed" for many days. In 2003, after being released from the labour camp, he was sent to brainwashing classes. One night in June of 2005, while he was sleeping, his breathing suddenly became abnormal, and he passed away several minutes later. His family members tried in vain to take him to the hospital for emergency rescue. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Liu Decai and His Daughter Persecuted - A Happy Family is Shattered
2005-08-12After the persecution began on July 20th 1999, Mr. Liu Decai was subjected to body searches by the police, even in the hallway to his own home. His civil rights were severely violated. Around March 2004, officers from the Dehui City Police Department knocked on his door. At that time, only Mr. Liu's wife was at home. When she saw the group of suspicious people on her doorstep looking like bandits, she was so scared that she suffered a heart attack. She then became bedridden; medical treatment had no effect. She passed away in April 2004. -
57 Year Old Ms. Zhan Ye'an from Guizhou Province Was Paralysed and Died from Torture in a Labour Camp
2005-08-11Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhan Ye'an was an employee of the Guiyng City Medical Institute in Guizhou Province. For exposing the persecution and telling people the truth about Falun Dafa she was arrested and held in the Guizhou Province Women's Labour Camp. She became emaciated and paralysed from torture over a long period of time. She was finally sent home because she was dying at the end of May 2005. She died on June 16th 2005. -
Falun Dafa Practitioners from Chongqing City Ms. Yuan Suxian Tortured to Death and Ms. Liu Fanqin Disabled
2005-08-11Ms. Yuan Suxian was detained in a detention centre in Chongqing City and was tortured to death on July 30th 2005. Details of her death are unclear, pending an investigation. Another Falun Dafa practitioner from Chongqing City Ms. Liu Fanqin has been also detained in the same detention centre because she was involved in exposing the rape case of Ms. Wei Xingyan, a graduate student in Chongqing University. Her hands were badly injured during torture, and she has lost the use of her hands.
