• Mr. Wang Zengcheng from Tianjin City is Beaten to Death in a Labour Camp for Refusing to Betray His Conscience

  Mr. Wang Zengcheng was a 41-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner from Tianjin City. In 2003, he was unjustly sent to forced labour for 2.5 years. In the beginning of 2004, when his term was close to expiration, he was beaten to death for refusing to write and sign the so-called "Repentance Statement." [statement giving up the Falun Gong practice] When his family examined Mr. Wang Zengcheng's body, they found that no skin on his body, except an area the size of an egg, was in normal condition. This was confirmed in the official autopsy report.

• Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Pei Cuirong from Hebei Province Dies from Torture

  Ms. Pei Cuirong of Hebei Province suffered inhumane torture in a labour camp in Tangshan City. Her body was black and blue from savage electric shock batons. One day at the end of 2002, she suddenly felt dizzy and lost her eyesight. She was sent to a hospital, but not long after she returned home, one day she suddenly lost consciousness. This happened several times until finally she passed away in late June 2003.

• Young Wife and Child Left Heartboken as 30 year old Mr. Wang Dayuan Beaten to Death in Harbin First Prison

  Mr. Wang Dayuan, 30 years old, was a teacher at the Computer Science and Technology Institute of Harbin Industry University. In November of 2002, the police unlawfully arrested him and ransacked his home. He received an eight-year prison term to be served at Harbin First Prison. He was tortured to death on April 5, 2004. The prison leaders tried to shift responsibility by saying that three criminal inmates beat Mr. Wang to death. We all know that the criminal inmates would not dare to commit such a crime without being ordered to by the police. The unexpected sad news brought Mr. Wang's family enormous pain. The young wife, young child, and elderly parents can no longer see their most beloved one.

• Ms. Yang Junping from Inner Mongolia Persecuted to Death in 2002

  Ms. Yang Junping was a 30-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Inner Mongolia, with a 12 year old child. After taking up the practice of Falun Gong she recovered from the late-stage cancer she had been suffering from. However due to several detentions her old illnesses recurred. The police demanded 2,000 yuan from her as a condition for her release on medical parole. In order to get her out, the family had to their mortgage their home to pay the police. After Ms. Yang returned home, the police still often harassed and monitored her. In August 2002, she passed away.

• Merciless Persecution Causes Elderly Dafa Practitioner, Ms. Wang Shuhua, to Die of Fatal Disease

  Ms. Wang Shuhua was a 58-year-old resident of Tianjin City. Because she persisted in practising Falun Gong and clarifying the truth about Falun Gong, she was arrested on July 20, 2001. While in the detention center, she was mercilessly tortured. This caused her heart disease, which had been cured through the practice of Falun Gong, to recur. She was released 50 days later, but passed away on June 1, 2002 as a result of the persecution she had suffered.

  Mr. Liu Wenbin, 54, was an official with the Light Industry Bureau Supply Company of Xiantao City. After having recovered from various diseases since he started practising Falun Gong, he was happy to tell people the benefits he had received, even after the persecution began. Unfortunately he was thus arrested and he lost his job. Criminals beat, insulted him and he endured rigourous brainwashing. When his family came to talk to policeman Zhou Guohuai and explained to him that Liu was very weak. Zhou said, "I'm not afraid of him dying here." Later Liu was released but the police kept harassing him until he passed away.

  I would normally board a bus, and tell the passengers "help yourselves to these video CDs, and please come to learn the facts about Falun Gong. Do take these materials and bring a good future to your home." After finishing distributing the video CDs, I add, "I wish you safe trip home, a happy journey home!" After hearing this, the driver enthusiastically gives me the thumbs up sign and says "Great job Falun Gong! Wonderful!" Many passengers also say "Thank you for your words of good luck!"

  On September 29th, 2002, Zhang Yanrong was abducted and sent to Pi County Detention Centre. The police did not inform her family members. The week that her case was brought to court, she was subjected to various tortures. She was not allowed to sleep, and several dozen policemen took turns interrogating her, constantly shining glaring lights in her face. She was handcuffed very tightly, and the handcuffs cut deep into her flesh. The police did not allow her to close her eyes, they even yelled, “we will beat you till your brain stops working."

  On January 30, 2000, because Zhang Lanfen participated in a Falun Gong practitioners' experience sharing conference, the local officials illegally put her in the Laiyang City Mental Hospital, where she has suffered inhumane physical torture. The responsible parties forcibly gave her infusions and injections of unknown drugs. She was also forced to take large amounts of medicine orally, sometimes 11 pills at once. Therefore, Ms. Zhang could not sit up or stand steadily, and she often drooled uncontrollably.

• Sun Ke, a Non-Practitioner, is Framed and Sentenced to Forced Labour for Speaking Out Against Injustice to Falun Gong Practitioners

  On December 18, 2003, Dehui resident Sun Ke spoke out about the injustice done towards his younger brother, Falun Gong practitioner Sun Qian, who was detained and beaten by police in front of the Dehui City Court. As a consequence of Sun Ke's complaint, the police forged a document to frame him, and he was sentenced to one year of "reeducation" in a forced labour camp. In the labour camp Mr. Sun is suffering harsh injustices.

In November 2000 I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa and was illegally sentenced to three years in prison by the authorities in Xinjin, and sent to the Miaoxi Prison in Yaan, Jianyang City, Sichuan Province.   Mr Zhao Guoan, was a 55 year old Dafa practitioner in Luohe City, Henan Province. Because Mr. Zhao kept telling people about Falun Gong, he was sent to Xuchang City No. 3 Labour Camp by the police on August 7, 2003. Four months later, his family was notified by the labour camp that Mr. Zhao had died of a "heart attack." When his wife, Ms. Zhang Guirong, insisted on seeing his body, she was greatly shocked by what she saw.

  On February 27, 2004, fifty year old Ms. Zhao Fengyun, died after enduring long periods of physical and mental torture at Wanjia Forced Labour Camp. Zhao Fengyun was forced to do intensive labour, book printing for a printing factory. She worked from 6 am to 9 or 10 pm. There was a machine, JBE3-50, that emitted a very strong and toxic smell of glue. Under these conditions, Zhao Fengyun suddenly had a heart attack and passed away.

• Police Feign Apologies, Trying to Collect and Destroy Evidence of Their Persecution of Falun Gong in Maoming City

  Representatives from the public security bureau and the local police station in Maoming city, Guangdong province went to visit Falun Dafa practitioners who had been persecuted in the town of Aonei. They made apologies, hoping that they would not be prosecuted for their crimes in the future. They said that Dafa practitioners were good and it was a mistake for them to arrest practitioners. They asked the practitioners to hand over any evidence of persecution. If practitioners do so, however, they will have no evidence on hand for future lawsuits that would expose the persecutors' crimes.

• Villagers in China Stop the Police from Arresting a Falun Gong Practitioner

  As she was being dragged out, this female practitioner shouted, "Help! Criminals are attacking me!" Upon hearing her cry for help, her fellow villagers rushed out with sticks and hoes to see what was going on. They surrounded the police. The police hurriedly explained, "We are from the police station." The villagers replied, "It doesn't matter even if you are from the police station. Her husband is not home. Why do you want to arrest her?" The police showed their IDs and said, "We have IDs. We're in charge of Falun Gong." The villagers did not budge and said, "We don't care."
