Lu Jinhu covered Mr. Huang's head with a piece of cloth and violently jerked, rubbed, and shook Mr. Huang's head until he felt dizzy, vomited, and could not move his head and neck anymore because his cervical vertebrae were broken. He was then sent to the hospital in the forced labour camp. When practitioners in the "Enhanced Torture Team" spoke out for Mr. Huang, the police even denied the persecution and said that Mr. Huang was suffering from a bone spur. -

2004-01-01Mr. Yang Baochun's hand was often handcuffed to the head of one bed while the other arm was forcibly stretched out and cuffed to the head of another bed. Mr. Yang would be cuffed like this for one day and one night. He once wrote a letter to complain about the police atrocities being committed against him. Team leader, Wang Feng discovered the note and had dozens of inmates surround Yang Baochun and beat him with rubber batons, electric batons, and kick him. The beating and torture lasted for more than half an hour, resulting in wounds covering his entire body. -

2004-01-01After long periods of being chained to a pole, the metal handcuffs cut deep into her flesh, and Ms. Liu's ankles and wrists were bleeding badly. As the filth and odour became unbearable, they then wrapped her up in a big plastic bag and tied her up with ropes to prevent her from moving. To keep her quiet, one of the persecutors bashed her head with a rod. To humiliate her further, they stripped off her clothes one day, and tried to take a photograph of her. -

Liu Chengjun, One of the First to Broadcast The Facts of the Persecution Over Chinese State-Run TV, Dies as a Result of Torture
2003-12-31Falun Gong practitioner Liu Chengjun from the city of Changchun is one of the practitioners responsible for tapping into the local television network to broadcast the truth of the persecution against Falun Gong on March 5th, 2002, an event that shocked the world. After enduring cruel torture in prison for one year and nine months, Liu Chengjun passed away at the Jilin University Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital at 4 a.m. on December 26, 2003. -
Ms. Yang Sulan is Tortured to Death in Zhangshi Forced Labour Camp
2003-12-31The Zhangshi Forced Labour Camp kept her from sleeping, insulted her verbally, and constricted her upper body to cause her great pain and difficulty when breathing or raising her hands. They threatened her with hard labour if she would not give up her belief. After being tortured for more than 50 days, she was released, but the harassment continued. On June 1, 2003, and she passed away at home. -
Mr. Yu Chunhai Dies on Return from Long-Term Detention in an Unknown Location
2003-12-31In order to avoid further persecution, Yu Chunhai had to leave home and wander around. However, later on he was arrested again and subjected to long-term detention and torture. No one ever knew where he had been detained. On the night of November 14, 2003, several strangers brought Yu Chunhai, who was on the verge of death, back to Machang Village, whose residents hadn't seen him for a long time. The strangers dropped him off in a home and left. Three days later, Yu Chunhai passed away. -

They let his back be exposed to the scorching sun for a long time. They then turned him over and exposed the front of his body to the burning sun. Seeing he still wouldn't give in and renounce Falun Dafa, the police wrapped him with two heavy quilts and continued to expose him to the scorching sun. Altogether, Mr. Lin was subjected to the intense heat of the summer sun for several hours until his life was in grave danger. -
Dafa Practitioner Ms. Yuan Xiangfan Dies as a Result of Torture at Shibalihe Female Labour Camp

In addition to the illegal imprisonment, Ms.Yuan had been continuously tortured by the prison guards and inmates. On December 9, 2002, Ms. Yuan's family was notified to take her home from the Shibalihe Female Forced Labour Camp because she was at the brink of death. Ms. Yuan was beyond medical help and died on September 8, 2003. -
Surviving Extreme Torture - A Lotus Flower that Never Withers

Even under such circumstances, the police did not forget to try to make some money. They sent a message to her family, saying that Ms. Liu would die soon. Her spouse was tricked into paying 3000 Yuan and write a statement in order to take her home. On August 28, 2002, the detention centre let her go home on the grounds of her being sick. -

Dafa Practitioner in Jilin Province Released Following Phone Calls From Overseas Practitioners
2003-12-29Police officers in Shulan City were heard saying, "We had no idea that Falun Gong practitioners are everywhere. We have been receiving lots of overseas calls every day." Overseas phone calls are greatly effective in shocking and scaring the unscrupulous authorities. China's local practitioners are also participating in the effort by clarifying the facts to people and exposing the wrongdoings. -
Practitioner Li Hai is Locked up in Daqing City Prison - Police Forbid His Family to Visit
2003-12-29In the October of this year, 2003, the prison again deprived Dafa practitioners of their sleep, trying to force them to give up their belief. Li Hai's wife went to the prison and wanted to see him but the head of the 2nd prison Zhu Renshan told her "I heard that you also practise Falun Gong, if you say now that Falun Gong is not good, I will let you see him right away." He then said, "It is not me who does not let you see him, it is the order from 'above' that says 'No transformation, no visits'." The head of the team in which Li Hai is detained said, "It is no use even if you go to the 'above' and talk to them. If he refuses to write the 'five statements', you will not be able to see him for 12 years."
