2003-12-28On the first weekend of the Christmas holidays, Dafa practitioners from Bremen and Hamburg held their first information day at Cuxhaven. The purpose of the activity was to clarify the facts to people and to secure the rescue of practitioners in China, such as Xiong Wei. -
Germany: Peacefully Appealing In Front of the Chinese Consulate in on Xiong Wei’s Birthday
2003-12-27On the 8th of December 2003, Hamburg’s Falun Gong practitioners arrived at the Chinese consulate today to peacefully protest for Xiong Wei’s release. She was a Berlin Industrial University student who was arrested for handing out leaflets about Falun Gong and the facts about the persecution on a street in Beijing. -
Germany: Falun Gong Activities on World Human Rights Day in Darmstadt
2003-12-27On the 10th of December, which is World Human Rights Day, Falun Gong practitioners from Germany held activities in Darmstadt. The activities lasted from late afternoon until the early evening and focused on telling people in Darmstadt about the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin in Germany. -
Sweden: Promoting Falun Gong and Clarifying the Facts in Uddevalla
2003-12-25At the time of the activities, there were a lot of people doing their Christmas shopping so many Falun Gong practitioners walked around the city centre to distribute leaflets about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. Practitioners also collected petition signatures. Many people showed an interest in the activities and practitioners distributed a lot of information. -
Ireland: Clarifying the Facts Outside the Irish Immigration Office
2003-12-24When demonstrating the excercises outside the Irish Immigration Office, practitioners left people with a good impression of Falun Gong. Many passers-by took leaflets and expressed their support; others learned about the two Chinese students ( Feng Liu and Fang Yang) from the information boards that practitioners had displayed. -
Germany: Support from the people of Hannover on World Human Rights Day
2003-12-24After the news about Xiong Wei and reports on the lawsuit filed against former Chinese president Jiang Zemin featured widely in the media, many local people became very interested in knowing what was happening to Falun Gong in China. In addition, a campaign-song to rescue Xiong Wei, had also been broadcast and the result was very positive. -
Ireland: Clarifying the Facts in Front of the Country's Largest TV station
2003-12-23Staff of the TV station and passers-by listened to the practitioners' explanations about Falun Gong, and were able to obtain a better and deeper understanding of Dafa and the persecution inside China. At the same time, practitioners also appealed for the rescue of the two students, Liu Feng and Yang Fang, who are being persecuted by the Jiang regime in China because they practise Falun Gong. -
Ireland: Collecting Signatures For the Rescue of Liu Feng and Yang Fang in Dublin
2003-12-22Both Liu Feng and Yang Fang were studying in Dublin before they returned to China during the Christmas holidays in 1999 and were illegally arrested. On December the 17th, practitioners went to Dun Laoghaire, where Liu Feng and Yang Fang went to college, to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises and collect signatures for their release. -

2003-12-22Their names have been widely known by the local people since Hubert and the two eldest daughters, Caroline and Steffi, went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for Falun Gong in February 2002. Appealing on Tiananmen Square is their most unforgettable experience over the past four years. German newspapers, radio and TV stations came to interview them one by one. It seemed everyone admired their courage. -

Germany: Introducing Falun Gong at Passau University Homecoming Day
2003-12-21December 8th was the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Passau University. Included in the celebration ceremony programme was a demonstration of the Falun Gong exercises. Falun Gong practitioners performed the five sets of exercises on stage. This was the first time that Falun Gong has been included as part of the cultural life of the university. -

UK: Falun Gong practitioners Hold a Rally and Parade on World Human Rights Day
2003-12-20Letters of support from Members of the European Parliament, UK Parliament, Scottish parliament, as well as members of the Greater London council, were read out. They said that human rights have no boundaries, and that only if the leaders of China truly respect human rights can they win respect from the world.
