Finland: Supporting Thirteen Million Withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party
2006-09-15On September 9th, 2006, at the time of the EU summit meeting held in the Finnish capital Helsinki, Friends of Falun Gong, volunteers from The Epoch Times newspaper and Falun Gong practitioners held an assembly and parade activity supporting the thirteen million people who have withdrawn from the CCP and protesting against CCP organ harvesting.

2006-09-15“This cheque has particular symbolic value,” said Erich Bachmann. He received the cheque worth 2,200 Swiss Francs from Hong Kong’s Ministry of Justice, “after we were acquitted by the highest Court of Appeal, which is comparable to our Federal Court.” What happened? In March 2002, Erich Bachmann and fifteen other Falun Gong practitioners held a protest against the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China in a public area in Hong Kong. In 1999, the former President of China ordered this movement to be banned.

Ireland: Falun Gong Shines at the World Culture Festival in Dun Laoghaire
2006-09-14During the last weekend of August, the coastal town of Dun Laoghaire hosts a "World Culture Festival". This year, Irish Falun Gong practitioners brought to the festival a Falun Gong exercise demonstration, Chinese traditional dances and beautiful folded paper lotus flowers. They were well received by visitors.

Norway: Re-enactment of Human Organ harvesting in China Receives Attention
2006-09-14Two exhibitions were held in Egertorget square in Oslo, Norway, in July and August 2006. With an operating table and hospital personnel, the exhibition re-enacted the practice of organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners taking place in China. Many people signed a petition which asked the Chinese regime to stop this illegal practise.

France: Exposing the CCP's Persecution of Falun Gong
2006-09-14On September 10th, French Falun Gong practitioners disclosed the brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP to passers-by in Human Rights Square in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Various inhuman means are used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, including torture, illegal detention in labour camps as well as long prison sentences.

Finland: "You have done a good job"
2006-09-13On September 2nd, the Finnish Service Centre for quitting the CCP, the Epoch Times newspaper and Falun Gong practitioners held an activity near the train station in the city centre of Helsinki to support the thirteen million Chinese people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its related organisations, and expose the CCP's crimes.

Germany: Falun Gong at the Sachsen Festival
2006-09-13The fifteenth provincial celebration of Germany’s Sachsen County was held in Marienberg. By invitation of the County Celebration Committee, Falun Gong practitioners attended the float parade and performed traditional dances in Chinese style, displaying the beauty of traditional Chinese culture to the people of Sachsen.

Swiss Media Report: Fasting for Freedom
2006-09-13Practitioners in Kreuzlingen held a day of fasting in connection with the worldwide hunger relay that had begun on February 5th of this year. During the 82 days of the continuous relay, 2,781 fasting days were held throughout the world. To alert people of the human rights problems in China, Erich Bachmann and the Chinese lady Wang Xiaoyang who studies in St. Gallen went on a 24 hour fast in Kreuzlingen. The objective and aim was to bolster the persecuted practitioners of Falun Gong living in China.

Norway: "I Believe It Is True, and What You Do Is Important"
2006-09-13Two exhibitions, organized by HR in China (a Norwegian NGO), were held at Egertorget Square in Oslo. Falun Gong practitioners in Norway and HR in China hoped that their reenactment would help Norwegians and tourists become aware of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) large scale practice of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Appeal on the Eve of Wen Jiabao's Visit to Germany
2006-09-12Before Wen Jiabao’s visit to Germany between September 13th and 15th, the Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group in Germany sent an open letter to the German Government, media, and all its citizens, appealing to them to pay attention to China’s human rights abuses. In the letter, practitioners mentioned Gao Zhisheng, a prominent Chinese lawyer and active human rights activist, who has been illegally detained by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since August 15th, 2006. He wrote three open letters to CCP leaders to expose the brutal persecution of innocent Falun Gong practitioners.

Russia: Falun Gong Practitioners in St. Petersburg Expose the Chinese Communist Regime's Atrocities
2006-09-12On September 2nd, 2006, Russian Falun Gong practitioners went to the square near the Nevsky Metro Station in St. Petersburg to expose the Chinese Communist regime's cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. There were a lot of tourists at the square, and many of them came to view the display boards and listen to practitioners’ explanation.

Holland: "Falun Dafa! I Really Admire You"
2006-09-12On September 2nd, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners participated in the annual national cultural festival at Maastricht, where the practitioners exhibited photos, demonstrated the five exercises and taught people how to make paper lotus flowers. They brought Falun Gong to the ancient city, adding colour to the festival.

European Parliament Passes Resolution Calling for Release of Bu Dongwei and Gao Zhisheng
2006-09-11On September the 7th 2006, the European Parliament unanimously passed a resolution for a report of the EU-China relations, calling on the Chinese regime to release Falun Gong practitioner Bu Dongwei, lawyer Gao Zhisheng and other human rights defenders. The resolution was initiated by Charles Tannock MEP, Edward McMillan-Scott MEP and Simon Coveney MEP.

Bo Xilai Faces Lawsuit before EU-China Summit in Finland
2006-09-11In the morning of September 8th, a representative of the Finland Falun Dafa Association delivered a letter and other related documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the Prime Minister, requesting the Finnish government to ban Bo Xilai from entering the country. Bo is directly responsible for carrying out the persecution of Falun Gong. A press conference was then held to announce that the association will file a lawsuit against Bo Xilai for torture based on the Finnish criminal code. A representative of Falun Gong practitioners said, "It is unacceptable that criminals like Bo Xilai who have persecuted so many people are still at large."
