Persecution of Ms. Zhang Yanmei in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia

In 1999, Ms. Ms. Zhang Yanmei, 43, went to Beijing to speak out for Falun Gong. She was arrested and detained at the Tiananmen Square Police Station for over four hours. She was then transferred to Tongliao City's liaison office in Beijing, where she was detained for over twenty hours. Police subsequently handcuffed her, along with several other Falun Gong practitioners, and took them to Hexi Detention Centre of Tongliao City, where they were detained for over a month. Shao Jun confiscated over 800 yuan from Ms. Zhang without any legal procedures or documentation. -
Shen Hongyan Persecuted in Wuhan Women's Prison
2010-08-25Ms. Shen Hongyan is a Falun Gong practitioner from Wuhan City. Agents from the police department in Wuchang District arrested Ms. Shen on June 22nd, 2010, and took her to the First Women's Prison in Wuhan City. The prison officials refused to accept her due to her poor health and high blood pressure. However, officials from the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) ordered the police to continually detain Ms. Shen, who fainted many times during detention because of her weak body. Ms. Shen was sentenced to four years in prison on December 5th, 2007, and is currently being held in Division 1 of the Wuhan Women's Prison. -
Mr. Bai Heguo Beaten to Death in Nanguanling Prison, Dalian City
2010-08-25Mr. Bai Heguo, 45, from Liaoning Province was tortured to death around January 5th, 2008 in Nanguanling Prison in Dalian City. Prison guard Zhang Shuyi instigated criminal Zhou to beat Mr. Bai to death. Mr. Bai's family saw his body covered with numerous injuries and wounds, and his remains were hastily cremated. We have learned that guard Zhang Shuyi instigated criminal Zhou to cruelly beat Mr. Bai in an office, and handcuffed Mr. Bai to a heating pipe after the severe abuse. The beating was so severe that Mr. Bai could barely open his eyes. Mr. Bai had been arrested in June 2002 for practising Falun Gong. Court officials had sentenced him to 11 years in prison. -
Domestic Security Division Staff Use Deceitful Tricks to Frame and Arrest Manager at Shanghai Yuwen Technology
2010-08-25Falun Gong practitioner Mr. He Binggang was arrested by 610 Office agents (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) from the Changning District Domestic Security Division on April 15th, 2010, using a deceitful trap. He is now facing a show-trial. This is the second time He Binggang, 35, has been arrested. In 2000, Mr. He was arrested and detained when he was a graduate student at Fudan University. In 2001, he was sentenced to a six-year prison term, and was detained in the Shanghai Tilanqiao Prison. -
Disabled As a Result of Repeated Beatings and Torture: Personal Account of the Horrific Persecution Endured by Ms. Chen Zhenbo
2010-08-24I was arrested on December 25th, 2008, after being reported to the authorities while handing out fliers about Falun Gong. I was held at the Shandong Province No. 2 Women's Forced Labour Camp for one and a half years. In attempts to "transform" [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] me, the officers at the labour camp used inhuman physical and mental tortures. Guards cuffed each of my hands to metal bars to the side of the window. They covered my head with a pillowcase and roughly pulled me forward. About five minutes later, I had acute pain in my neck, which was hard to endure. I was let down after seven days and my hands had lost sensation. I was carried home disabled on July 2nd, 2010. -
Older Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Duan Shaoming Dies After Five Years of Mistreatment in a Mental Hospital
2010-08-24Deceived by the propaganda against Falun Gong, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Duan Shaoming's son had his own father admitted into the psychiatric unit of Chongqing City Steel Plant Hospital in 2005. He had been held there since then. Duan Shaoming was locked in a room with over ten mental patients. He had difficulty breathing due to the noxious, foul smell in the room. The doctors in the mental hospital prohibited him from leaving the ward under false charges that he was seriously ill. Some local Falun Gong practitioners tried to reason with Mr. Duan's son, but he refused to get his father out. Mr. Duan died on August 4th, 2010. -
Heavy-Handed Retaliation Follows the Exposure of 610 Office Plan to Defame Falun Gong at Shanghai World Expo
2010-08-24The World Expo opened in Shanghai on May 1st, bringing crowds of people and a huge inflow of information. The 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) exploited the Expo as an opportunity to further defame Falun Gong. The 610 Office internally circulated a "classified" seven-page document entitled "Preaching Guidelines." The existence of this report, which is in effect a blueprint for the propaganda blitz to be used against Falun Gong during the World Expo, was made public on the Minghui website Minghui website [Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net] in late April. -
Yueyang Municipal Detention Centre Responsible for the Death of Hu Heping
2010-08-24August 7th, 2010 was the second anniversary of the death of Falun Gong practitioner Hu Heping. He died at age 54 from lesions in his internal organs after three months of detention at the Yueyang Municipal Detention Centre in Hunan Province. The Detention Centre did not want to take responsibility for his death, and asked his family to take him home just before he passed away. Detainees at the Yueyang Detention Centre in 2008 were forced to do manual labour such as making lanterns. Many raw plastic materials used in the manual labour were toxic. When Mr. Hu was tortured nearly to death, his family was still forced to pay for the time he spent in the detention centre. -
Two Deaths in 2002: Mr. Qiu Wei Tortured to Death in the Jiangxi Province Second Forced Labour Camp; Mr. Zhang Jun Dies After Two Years of Mistreatment
2010-08-23Mr. Zhang Jun, in his 30s, was arrested at the beginning of 2000, sent to do forced labour and locked in Yongqiao Forced Labour Camp located in Jinxian County, Jiangxi Province. The Warden Huang was very cruel towards Falun Gong practitioners, and instructed prisoners to brutally beat Mr .Zhang Jun and Mr. Wu Waiping from Yingtan City. Later Mr. Zhang Jun was transferred to the Gao'an Labour Camp where he was tortured until suffering a blurry mind and talking to himself. He was released at the latter half of 2002, after his term was extended. He never gave in to the brainwashing, but died soon after being released. -
Please Help Rescue My Wife Whose Life Is in Danger
2010-08-23Just because my wife, Ms. Li Xiuqin, followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecuted her many times. They detained her, sentenced her to forced labour and extorted money from us. In 2005, my wife was tortured and became emaciated. She went into shock twice at the detention centre and her life was in danger. Despite repeated requests, the police bureau officials refused to to anything for her. They claimed that she was all right and took her to a labour camp instead. The guards at the labour camp refused to take her because of her physical condition. -
Ms. Wu Jinfeng is Persecuted to the Verge of Death
2010-08-23Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wu Jinfeng from Laiyang City, Shandong Province was arrested in April, 2010. Her family hired an attorney to represent her. However, instead of helping Ms. Wu, he helped the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) to persecute her. Ms. Wu was tortured to the verge of death in a detention centre. She is now extremely weak. -
Bai Sanyun Was Beaten by Prison Police During a Hunger Strike
2010-08-23After being arrested in May, Falun Gong practitioner Bai Sanyuan was sentenced in June and in July 2010, he was sent to Lanzhou Prison. Mr. Bai started a hunger strike in late May 2010. He was beaten by the prison police. The policeman kicked him seven or eight times in the lower back. He also slapped Mr. Bai in his face a dozen times. The beating caused Mr. Bai atrophy in his legs and lumbar disc hernia, which caused a lot of pain. Now he is very feeble and emaciated. -
Li Xiuhong's Family Insists That Authorities Stop Mistreating Her at Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp, Changchun
2010-08-22Falun Gong practitioner Li Xiuhong's family members received an invitation on July 30th, 2010, from Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp in Changchun. Staff members at the forced labour camp originally wanted Li Xiuhong's family to persuade her to write the so-called "five guarantee statements," to renounce practising Falun Gong or write an article criticising Falun Gong. However, through her family members' inquiries, Li Xiuhong confirmed that she had been subjected to torture by police, including shocks from electric batons and being tied up. When camp authorities realised that their evil deeds had been exposed, they immediately ended the family visit and took Li Xiuhong back to the forced labour camp. Li Xiuhong's family members sternly warned the police to no longer torture Li Xiuhong. -
Practitioners Persecuted in Xigemu Forced Labour Camp in Jiamusi City
2010-08-22Ms. Li Chunyang was apprehended by police when she was handing out Falun Gong materials. Every day, Ms. Li was forced to sit on a wheel axle of strings with both hands handcuffed behind her and to a mental ring on the wall. Guards loudly abused and humiliated her. Because Ms. Li was handcuffed and wasn't able to take a shower for such a long time, her body emitted a bad odour. The criminals and guards couldn't bear the smell and washed Ms. Li's body by force. They found that there were two wounds on her buttocks that were caused by abrasion. Ms. Li couldn't stand up, but g.uard Li Yongbo said she was pretending to be unable to walk, and harshly kicked her in the back and body over ten times. -
Ms. Wu Bilin from Wuhan Holds a Hunger Strike to Protest the Persecution in Chenjiaji Brainwashing Centre
2010-08-22Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wu Bilin is currently on a hunger strike to protest her detention in Chenjiaji Brainwashing Centre. The 61-year-old was arrested outside her home by the Wuhan City Police Department on June 19th, 2010. That night, her home was ransacked by the police. According to an insider, she was arrested for accompanying Ms. Song Wenxiu, mother of practitioner Ms. Li Shihong, to Jiangan District Court. They went there to lodge a letter of complaint regarding the unjust trial of Ms. Li Shihong.
