Liaoning Provincial Women's Prison Treats Falun Gong Practitioners as Slave Labourers
2005-11-06
Prison guards treat Falun Gong practitioners and prisoners like working machines. They start working from 6 a.m. until 9-10 p.m. When the workload is heavy, they are to work overtime until midnight or even into the early hours of the morning. Every day they are required to sign the work sheet. If they don't finish their quotas, their living expenses are deduced or frozen (money from family members is deposited with brigade captains). They'll be beaten if they don't have any money. -
Persecution at the Changchun Forced Labour Camp
2005-11-06If a practitioner refuses to write the "guarantee statements" or writes something that the prison guards do not like, the practitioner is tortured. If the practitioner is "lucky," she is not allowed to sleep before midnight or for a whole night and must stand all day and night, causing her legs to swelling. She is also cursed at daily. If the practitioner is "unlucky," however, she is beaten and shocked with electric batons. Even detainees younger than 20 years old or elderly people in their 60s or 70s are not spared. -
Additional Information on the Death of Mr. Xu Zhicheng from Hegang City
2005-11-05It has now been confirmed that Mr. Xu Zhicheng, a practitioner in his 40s from Heilongjiang Province, was arrested on September 26th, 2005. He was unconstitutionally detained for three days and sent to Hegang City Second Detention Centre, where he was persecuted to death on October 2nd. Mr. Xu Zhicheng's body is being kept in the Dissection Room in the Second Detention Centre. His face and body have many areas of apparent injury. His nose and lips were stained with blood, and there were blood-spattered wounds on his body. The police destroyed the cameras belonging to Mr. Xu's family members when they tried to take photos for evidence. Mr. Xu's family refused to cremate him and is appealing. -
Police Officers Arrest Disabled Practitioner Mr. Wang Yonghua in Sichuan Province
2005-11-05The police arrested Mr. Wang Yonghua, a disabled farmer from Suining City, at the end of August. They have detained him ever since. On August 30th, Suining City Beimen Police Department officials sent the police to his home again to ransack it. They knocked over his parents' furniture and took away a mobile phone and a family portrait of Mr. Wang with his wife and daughter. They also beat Mr. Wang in front of his parents and took him away to Suining City for interrogation. His wife was forced to leave home with their 10-month-old son to avoid the persecution. -
Eight Practitioners from Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Henan and Hebei Provinces Died Due to the Persecution
2005-11-05Mr. Nie Xinyi was an employee of the Kaiyuan Industry and Commerce Bank in Xingtai City, Hebei Province. Once the persecution began, he was repeatedly reported. The bank president intimidated him and forced him to go to a brainwashing centre. In September 2000, the bank president convinced him to go to a hospital for treatment. He was discharged from the hospital in October, his condition deteriorating rapidly; his life could have ended at anytime. In February 2001, with the support of fellow practitioners, Mr. Nie started to practise Falun Dafa again. In April 2005, bank leaders persecuted him again simply because he refused to pay the CCP membership dues. On May 28th, he started to cough and developed generalised oedema. His past illness recurred and he passed away. -
Four More Falun Gong Practitioners Who Have Died From Persecution
2005-11-05Mr. Wang Lixiang, in his 40s, died in February 2004. Shortly after he started to practise Falun Gong, his spleen cancer completely disappeared. On July 15th, 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong but was taken back by the police and held in a detention centre for further persecution. His fingers were beaten until they were deformed. He was forced to sleep on the cement floor until he was released in 2001. After that, he was frequently harassed by the local police as well as his employer. Because of this constant harassment and the lack of a peaceful cultivation environment, his illnesses returned and caused his death. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Yuan Shengjun From Henan Province Beaten to Death by Police
2005-11-0442-year-old Mr. Yuan Shengjun was sentenced to six years in prison on October 7th, 2005. After about two weeks, he was beaten to death by the police at the 610 Office. His body was full of wounds and bruises. There was not a single patch of skin intact on his body, and congealed blood can be seen underneath the skin. The body was in a wretched condition. Yuan Shengjun's family demanded an autopsy but the police refused. The next day the police secretly cremated the body before his family could look at it. He left behind his mother in her 80s, his wife and his 13-year-old son. -
Older Practitioner, Ms. Du Jinglan, Tortured to Death at Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison
2005-11-04Ms. Du Jinglan was 55 years old and lived in Heilongjiang Province. She was arrested at her home in 2002, sentenced to seven years of prison time, and incarcerated at the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison. She was tortured until she was paralysed and totally incontinent. She often passed out, and her blood pressure was once as high as 250 mm. On October 24th, 2005, Ms Du Jinglan was sent to the hospital in an unconscious state. She died at 4:00 a.m. on October 27th. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Li Kaide Killed in Late July 1999

In July 1999, Mr. Li Kaide went to Beijing to tell the facts of Falun Dafa together with fellow practitioners. Police found them through a mobile phone locator, and he was arrested by police. The next day whilst being taken back to his hometown by police in a car, the car was involved in an accident. Mr. Li Kaide was killed because his hands were cuffed. -
Elderly Ms. Yu Li Died in September After Being Tortured at Dabei Prison
2005-11-04Ms. Yu Li, a Falun Gong practitioner in her 60s went to see her sick mother in Dalian City, where the police authorities had already prepared to "illegally arrest" her. Dabei Prison is a living hell. The staff there used every conceivable cruel, crafty and covert means to try to force Ms. Yu to renounce Falun Dafa. They even beat her with steel rods covered with rubber, a torture that does not leave obvious wounds but can result in serious internal injuries. The police hung Ms. Yu by her handcuffs and brutally beat her into a coma with a steel rod. In October 2003, she was released on medical parole. At the end of September 2005, she spit up large amounts of blood and died three days later. -
Three Older Practitioners Persecuted to Death in Shandong, Hubei, and Liaoning Provinces
2005-11-04Mr. Zhang Faming was 64 years old. He began to cultivate in Falun Dafa in 1996. The arthritis that had bothered him for over ten years was healed after he began to cultivate, and his physical health became excellent. In July 18th, 2001, he was taken away and his house was ransacked. A few policemen took turns beating and kicking him. They hung him by his handcuffs and interrogated him while they beat him. He was released in March 2002. Yet due to the severity of the torture he was badly traumatised. He passed away on April 10th. -
Older Beijing Practitioner, Ms. Wang Xiuhua, Dies from Torture Sustained at the Kaiping Forced Labour Camp
2005-11-0351-year-old Ms. Wang Xiuhua died as a result of torture at the Kaiping Forced Labour Camp on July 15th, 2005. The authorities tortured Wang Xiuhua until she was at the brink of death. They then demanded that her family take her home on June 22nd, 2005. By then Wang Xiuhua exhibited symptoms of severe damage to the nervous system: blank stare, inability to speak or to urinate, immobility and loss of feeling in the lower body. Her family rushed her to a hospital but she could not be revived. Ms. Wang died in the hospital three weeks after being released from the labour camp. -
50-Year-Old Ms. Wang Yuling Sentenced to Long Prison Term; Son Died From Shock and Grief, Disabled Husband is Barely Scraping By
2005-11-0350-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Yuling was unlawfully sentenced to 13 years in prison for persisting in her belief in Truth, Compassion, Forbearance. For the past three years the police have never notified her family about her incarceration and have never allowed them to visit her. Her family enquired in all sorts of places for over a year and finally found out that she is being held at a "labour reeducation" hospital. The police tied her hands with plastic bands, burned her, beat and kicked her, poured cold water on her, and shocked her with 30,000-volt electric baton(s), which made her lose consciousness. Her son fell ill and later died from shock and grief at his mother's brutal persecution. -
Six Falun Gong Practitioners from Gansu, Jilin, Anhui Provinces Were Persecuted to Death
2005-11-03Ms. Bin Jie was 71 years old. In mid-December of 2000, she went to Beijing for the second time to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. She was arrested and put in the trunk of a car. After her release, her whole body twitched and her pulse was very irregular. Because the police were afraid that she was dying in the car, they sent her to the police station to let her rest for two hours, then she was sent to a bus station. After she was persecuted twice in Beijing, Bin Jie's mental condition seriously deteriorated. She had a stroke soon after coming back home and passed away on June 20th, 2005. -
Three Practitioners from Sichuan, Liaoning and Beijing Die from Continual Harassment and Persecution
2005-11-03In 2001, 61-year-old Mr. Li Zhengjin went to Beijing to peacefully appeal for the right to practise Falun Gong. Because of this action, he was imprisoned and tortured by criminals for ten months. Even after being released, the police continued to harass him at home and even broke into and ransacked his home. The long-term psychological pressure and inability to peacefully practise his beliefs caused Mr. Li's body to deteriorate and severe diseases again re-emerged. He was imprisoned in a brainwashing centre and a few days after this latest series of harassment, torture and persecution, Mr. Li Zhengjin died.
