Guards in Wangcun Forced Labour Camp Cruelly Tortured Me

To try to force me to give up cultivating Falun Gong, the guards used all sorts of torture means. I remained handcuffed 24 hours per day for 141 days, until December 2000. I was detained in a 40-square-foot cell with a coffin-shaped bed. I was cuffed onto the metal gate and forced to stand holding the gate for 79 days. They did not allow me to sleep for the first ten days. If I closed my eyes, the guards would punch me, beat me, or curse me. By the tenth day, I could not bear such inhuman torture. I requested that they let me sleep during the night. Just because I dared to raise such a request, more than a dozen guards, each holding an electric baton, shocked me for the whole morning. -
Recent Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners at Deyang Prison, Sichuan Province
2009-01-14Here are some specific methods of brutality used in Deyang Prison: Beating the hands with bamboo strips, mouth beaten with bamboo flake, sealing the mouth with tape, binding hands with cloth strips, choking of the neck, pinching legs, burning hands with cigarette butts, beating the face with broom handle and plastic shoe, beating the soles of the feet with broom handle, covering the head with the practitioner's trousers, covering the practitioner's head with an inmate's trousers, beating with fists. In July, there were three inmates who beat the practitioners on 25 occasions. -
Older Practitioners Ms. Jiang Xianyi and Mr. Wang Peiming Died under Persecution in Guangdong Province
2009-01-13Ms. Jiang Xianyi, 58, was arrested while distributing leaflets informing people about the persecution of Falun Gong and detained in Tongle Village Detention Centre. She went on hunger strike to protest, was injured severely by force-feeding, which resulted in her having difficulty eating, and she could not stop coughing. She refused to accept the brainwashing, and was then sentenced to three years of forced labour at Sahnshui Women's Labour Camp. In August 2008, Ms. Jiang Xianyi was emaciated, weighing only about 70 pounds, and coughing non-stop and so the labour camp released her. Less then six months after returning home, she was take to the hospital on December 31st, 2008, and died on January 2nd, 2009. -
Judges in Jinshui District, Zhengzhou City Trample on Justice
2009-01-13Ms. Cheng Zhengping, a Falun Gong practitioner, was secretly tried and sentenced to prison. On November 16th, her youngest daughter and lawyer Li Subin went to the court for a second time to ask for the sentencing document, and showed Judge Ren Yuan and Chief Judge Ma the Chinese Constitution. The two judges conferred, but refused to show them the sentencing document. Lawyer Li insisted, and Judge Ren said, "I'm not going to show you the paper. Who knows if you are a real lawyer or not? Where is the proof?" Li was visibly upset and said, "How can officers of the court act like this? How can you possibly be judges?" -
Mr. Wang Xinchun Again Arrested and Tortured for 72 Hours After Being Crippled from Persecution (Graphic Photo)
2009-01-13On December 8th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Xinchun was arrested by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) again. Mr. Wang lost his feet and became crippled from the last time he was arrested. The police tortured Mr. Wang for 72 hours, and his face was deformed and his wrist was injured in four places. After Mr. Wang was released home, the police closely monitored him around the clock, disrupting his family life. Wang Xinchun was arrested in July 2005, April 2006, December 2006 and March 2008. He was cruelly beaten and tortured each time. -
Shenyang City Practitioner Ms. Zhang Weidi Detained in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp

Ms. Zhang Weidi is a practitioner from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. On July 4th, 2008, she was arrested in Fushun City and taken to a forced labour camp for two years. Ms. Zhang is currently being detained in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp, one of the most brutal forced labour camps in China. At this time, the labour camp officials are refusing to allow her family to visit her. The whole time that Ms. Zhang has been detained, her mother, who is already over 80 years old, has been left on her own. -
Practitioners Resolutely Resist the Persecution in Wangcun Forced Labour Camp
2009-01-12The guards at Wangcun Forced Labour Camp committed huge crimes against practitioners, and the methods they used were extremely cruel. They carried out atrocities of unparalleled savagery. Ms. Zhu Huizhen and Yang Shuping were blinded as a result of inhuman torture. When Ms. Zhu's son went to visit his mother and found she was blind he choked up with tears. The guards claimed that Ms. Zhu was pretending to be blind, but a hospital examination confirmed that she was blind. Ms. Zhang Min, Ms. Wang Xumei were locked up in a small room, where they were subjected to inhuman torture beyond the imagination of people. -
Ms. Luo Guangquan Died in 2005 after Six Years of Persecution in Songzi City, Hubei Province
2009-01-12Ms. Luo Guangquan was a Falun Gong practitioner from Songzi City, Hubei Province. She endured brutal abuse for six years. Due to this extended period of threats, harassment, and torture, Ms. Luo Guangquan's health deteriorated, leading to her eventual death in August 2005. Prior to her death, the local 610 Office officials had persecuted her relentlessly. Ms. Luo's daughter, Hu Jiqin, is also a practitioner and has faced inhumane treatment for a long time. Currently, Ms. Hu is currently detained in the First Detention Centre of Songzi City. -
Mr. Liu Yongwang Serving Eight-Year Sentence--Family Denied Proper Visitation
2009-01-12Mr. Liu Yongwang, from Beijing, has been detained at the Jidong Prison in Hebei Province. To protest his unjust imprisonment he started a hunger strike which lasted almost two years. During that period he was brutally force-fed and passed out from the pain on numerous occasions. Several times he was on the brink of death. In addition, the prison warden secretly held all mail coming into the prison for Mr. Liu and would not permit him to properly visit with his family. It was only under the care of his family and good friends that Mr. Liu started eating regularly in April 2008. -
Practitioner Ms. Lin Guizhi Denied Medical Parole
2009-01-1246-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lin Guizhi, from Chaoyang City in Liaoning Province, has been imprisoned in the Liaoning Province Women's Prison and subjected to abuse for more than five years. Her situation recently became very serious, and she has been lapsing into a coma several times a day. Community Security Affairs Division head Li Guangwen at the Chaoyang City Police Department Guanming Branch has denied her medical parole. -
Five-year-old Xiaoyu's Sincerest Wish
2009-01-11Xiaoyu just started going to kindergarten this year. One day when she was playing with her kindergarten friends someone mentioned what he wished for and then the others told what they wished for, too. When asked what she wished for, Xiaoyu replied sadly, "I wish there were no police. Then my dad could come back home and live with us, and my mum and grandma will not cry anymore." Xiaoyu was born in a family that practises Falun Gong. Before she was born, her parents were arrested by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials and taken to the Laishui Town Government Building. The police brutally beat her parents to try to force them to give up cultivating Falun Gong. Right after Xiaoyu's birth, her father was arrested again. He was sentenced to three years of forced labour. -
The Zunhua City Police and Justice Department Refuse to Release Mr. Zhao Jingjun Despite Lack of Evidence
2009-01-11"Mr. Zhao Jingjun has been detained for more than five months, and he will now be tried in court." As this news was spread all over Qihu Village, some of the villagers became very angry and said, "The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) does nothing good. It just arrests good people. After Mr. Zhao, a Falun Gong practitioner, was arrested on July 6th, 2008, the Zunhua City Police Department in Hebei Province fabricated evidence and requested an arrest warrant. The Zunhua City Court put Zhao Jingjun on trial on November 25th. Because of insufficient evidence, the Court rejected the case and sent it to the Procuratorate for further investigation. Mr. Zhao's family has already asked for help from a lawyer. -
Mr. Shen Lianghua, Imprisoned Several Times Since 1999, Sent Once Again to a Forced Labour Camp
2009-01-11Since 1999, when the Chinese communist party began persecuting Falun Gong, Mr. Shen Lianghua, a practitioner, has been imprisoned several times because he refused to renounce his belief. On February 25th, 2008, about eight police officers broke into Mr. Shen's house and took him to the Guang County Detention Centre. They did not notify Mr. Shen's family members. Without any legal procedures, they took Mr. Shen Lianghua directly to a forced labour camp in Guanzhuang Town, Wangcun. In November 2008, Mr. Shen Lianghua's family members went to visit him in Guanzhuang Town Forced Labour Camp but were refused entry by the guards. -
Practitioner Mr. Liu Fujiang Suffers Abuse in Beijing Qianjin Prison
2009-01-11Practitioner Mr. Liu Fujiang was arrested in 2003, and was sentenced to six years in prison by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Mr. Liu Fujiang refused to give up Falun Gong, and was put into a small cell. He was not allowed to contact anyone else except for the criminal inmates who agreed to monitor him and torture him. Mr. Liu Fujiang was beaten and kicked by those inmates, and had to sit on a bench for over twenty hours every day. If he moved, the inmates would insult him, beat him, and they didn't let him sleep. Mr. Liu once went on a hunger strike to protest the brutal treatment. -
Violence Cannot Conquer Conscience: Dr. Xu Xiuxin Is Held in Dashan Detention Centre, Qingdao City
2009-01-10Since July 20th, 1999, Falun Gong practitioner Dr. Wu Xiuxin, about 50 years old, has been persecuted repeatedly. In 2000, she was sent to the Jiangshuiquan Women's Forced Labour Camp to serve a three-year sentence. She witnessed many Falun Gong practitioners being tortured. For example, Ms. Zhang Yanyuan was handcuffed and hung up with her tiptoes barely touching the ground for many days because she insisted on practising Falun Gong. As a result, the handcuffs cut into her wrists and blood dripped down her arms. Later on, Ms. Zhang was brutally force-fed many times because she went on hunger strikes to protest the persecution. Dr. Wu Xiuxin is now in the Dashan Detention Centre in Qingdao City.
