• Husband and Daughter of Ms. Gao Baoju Abused While Trying to Visit Her in Detention Centre

  On August 9th, 2007, three officers of the State Security Division in Mancheng County Police Department, took Ms. Gao Baoju, a Falun Gong practitioner into custody from her own factory. After that, her family repeatedly requested to visit her but were denied. The whole family was impatient to see her. He Jia, Ms. Gao's daughter, was due to attend a new school soon and was extremely anxious about her mother's safety. On August 22nd, He Jia and her father went to the detention centre to visit her mother. Jia Ruiqin, the female deputy director, growled, "So you are Gao Baoju's daughter. Pay 10 yuan first, then you can see your mother." Ms. He replied, "I do not have the money on me." Jia Ruiqin then swore at her.

• Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Huang Min Persecuted to Death in the Qingyang District Hospital, Sichuan Province - The Second Practitioner to Die There in 4 Months

  Less than six months ago, National Security agents and police officers arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Huang Min from Chengdu City, Sichuan Province on the street. On August 15th, 2007, her family was informed of her death. Huang Min had been tied to a bed at Xinhuashe District Health Service Centre. Ms. Huang's body weighed around 25 kg [55 lbs]. The facial expression was one of terrible anguish. The eyes were slightly open, and the head was tilted to the right. The mouth was wide open, completely exposing the upper front teeth. One tooth was missing, in the middle of the lower front row. An unknown yellow substance covered the whole mouth and teeth, and also leaked from the corner of the mouth. The body had a strong medicinal odour. The fingers were frozen in the posture of a tight grip. There were a few bruises on the forearms that appeared to have been caused by pinches.

• Mr. Zheng Handong Died after Being Forcibly Hospitalised by Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang County, Hubei Province

  On March 20th, 2007, 26 practitioners including Mr. Zheng Handong were were transferred from Qinduankou Prison to Fanjiatai Prison and again subjected to physical examinations: their blood pressure was measured, x-rays taken, and blood drawn for a second time. For two consecutive days, the political commissar and the hospital director of the prison, as well as the guards of the ward and subdistrict, all came to request that Mr. Zheng Handong go to the hospital for treatment. He never returned. The only information was from guard Xiong Zuyong of his ward who was responsible for delivering him to the hospital. Xiong repeatedly claimed that Mr. Zheng's blood pressure while he was hospitalised continued to decrease. Mr. Zheng died on August 8th, 2007. Why would Mr. Zheng Handong die in the hospital while he was under the care of expert doctors? What did these "experts" do?

  Shanghai Hali Toys Ltd is a large enterprise in China that produces toys. A subsidiary of The Haixin Group, the company exports some of its products to Europe and U.S. The company specialises in producing and selling stuffed toys. For some of the "Made in China" products that are exported, the production base are forced labour camps in Shanghai. In order to reduce costs and meet fast delivery deadlines, the company violates international trade laws. It colludes with the forced labour camp to enslave Falun Dafa practitioners and other inmates, forcing them to work extra long hours and do extra harsh labour work.

• How Wanjia Forced Labour Camp Persecuted Us

  On March 16th, 2002, my daughter and I took a train to Beijing. After we arrived in Tiananmen Square, as we walked, we called out, "Falun Dafa is good! Restore the good name of Dafa! Restore the good name of our Teacher!" A group of police officers tried to drag us into a police vehicle as they beat us. We tried to get away, but they pushed us into the vehicle and beat us. My head swelled up. When we explained the facts about Falun Dafa to them, they pounded on my chest and covered my mouth. They sprained my arms and cut my hands. My property was seized, I was fined 10,000 yuan, and three months' worth of my salary was confiscated. Eventually, I was sent to Wanjia Forced Labour Camp for three years.

  Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Li Zhengying and her daughter Ms. Zhao Fengxia travelled to Chongqing looking for a job. Along the way they visited an old schoolmate. They were arrested by police and taken by force to Daping Detention Centre, where they suffered abuse for 15 days. On July 6th, 2007, they were moved to an unknown location. On July 11th, their family members learned that they were imprisoned at Shimahe Women's Forced Labour Camp in Chongqing City. The family rushed to the camp but were not allowed to visit. On July 12th, labour camp officials called Ms. Zhao Fengxia's family to inform them that Ms. Zhao was unable to speak.

• Dafa Practitioner Ding Zhenfang from Dalian City Is Arrested for the Fourth Time

  On August 16th, 2007, police arrested the nearly 60-year-old Dafa practitioner Ding Zhenfang and confiscated the machine that she used for making leaflets exposing the persecution and the leaflets themselves. During a previous detention inmates were ordered to torture Ms. Ding. They used the "death bed"and "tiger bench", and wrapped her up with tape until she could hardly breathe. The prisoners beat her with sticks, force-fed her with water laced with hot spices, hung her up, put her into solitary detention, and shocked her with electric batons. Due to the torture, Ms. Ding had a deformed appearance, was swollen all over, and her ankle festered to the point where the bone was clearly visible. The scars are visible even now.

He harnessed her neck with a wire which was tied to the back of a bench and then he ripped off her clothes. He shocked her face repeatedly with a 10,000 volts electric baton. Blisters covered her face and the smell of burnt flesh filled the room. She suffered so much pain that she could hardly breathe. They continued hitting her head and shocking the sensitive body parts such as the face, neck, underarms, and hands, etc. She cried out in pain.

Policemen from the County Police Department stationed in Beijing brought them back. As a result, Ji Yongshi was forced to leave home and become destitute and homeless.

• Brutal Mistreatment Still Continues in Daqing Prison

  According to eyewitnesses, all detainees in the nine prison wards were rounded up on the athletic field. Some prison wards had previously forced practitioners to put on prison uniforms. Some practitioners were stripped down to their underwear. In the so-called "Education Ward," practitioner Mr. Xuan Guoying, who refused to wear a prison uniform, was beaten so badly that his face was deformed and purplish blue, and he could not open his left eye. Because practitioner Mr. Wu Chunwei exposed the brutal acts of the CCP Yuan Hongjun beat him on the back of his head with a baton and he immediately fell to the ground.
