71 Year Old Tortured Practitioner Mr. Tian Zhongxin, a Teacher from Liaoning Province, Dies as a Result of the Persecution

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Tian Zhongxin was 71 years old and an Elementary School teacher in Liaoning Province. Through his practise of Falun Dafa he was cured of hepatitis. When he went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa in 1999, he was arrested, forced to do slave labour, beaten with electric shock batons and his hand scorched with a red-hot iron stove hook. Due to the pressure his hepatitis recurred and he passed away on November 18, 2004 as an indirect result of the persecution. -
Two Practitioners in Jilin Province Die as a Result of Persecution
2004-12-20Fifty six year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Dong Suyun from Nong-an County, Jilin Province died on January 23, 2004, as a result of torture she received in a labour camp . Practitioner Mr. Mu Xingbo from Changchun City, Jilin Province was on a police "wanted" list because he had been producing printed matter explaining the truth about Falun Gong. He was forced to move many times to avoid arrest. Tragically, his physical condition had been severely damaged during his long periods of forced homelessness and starvation and he passed away on October 12, 2004. -
51 Year Old Practitioner Mr. Liu Jieyun Tortured to Death in Shanxi Province Prison
2004-12-20On the morning of July 20, 2004, prison guards locked three Falun Dafa practitioners into a "Brainwashing Cell" in Jinzhong Prison in order to comply with an order issued by the Judiciary Bureau to "force solid practitioners to give up within 100 days." Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Jieyun, 51, was stripped and guards took turns beating him with a police baton, handcuffs, and wooden sticks. An inmate poured boiling water all over Mr. Liu's body. He died after having being brutally beaten for more than one hour. -
Ms. Shang Junxiu from Hubei Province Dies from Constant Harassment by Police and Former Employer
2004-12-2054 year old Falun Gong practitioner, Ms. Shang Junxiu, was arrested when she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. She was held in a detention centre, where her health rapidly deteriorated. She was not released until the police extorted 6,000 yuan from her family. Early in 2002, her former employer conspired with the 610 Office to abduct her and take her a Brainwashing Centre. Following her release she was constantly harassed by police and she died on September 1, 2004. -
Jilin City Practitioner Ms. Liu Shiwei Has Died as a Result of Torture in Labour Camp
2004-12-20Jilin City Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Shiwei, 48, was arrested at home along with her husband. The police beat the couple and forced them to write so-called Guarantee Statements. Ms. Liu Shiwei was later sentenced to one year of forced labour and was sent to the Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City, where she suffered from various tortures. Once, her hands were tied tightly behind her back for a long time until they turned purple for lack of blood circulation. Ms. Liu was released in September. In November 2004, less than two months later, she passed away. -

2004-12-19"In September 2002, I was detained in Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp. The superintendent of the labour camp-owned clinic, Wang Jing and others confined me to a room and force-fed me. They cuffed both of my hands together while Wang Jing stepped on my legs and then pried my mouth open as far as it could go with the "mouth opener," almost knocking out my teeth. Wang Jing said, "If you don't eat, we will knock out all your teeth!" " -
51 Year Old Practitioner Ms Hu Yuxia from Gansu Province Died as a Result of Terrorisation in 2002
2004-12-19Ms. Hu Yuxia was a 51-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Gansu Province. For not giving up Falun Dafa cultivation practice, State Security Department personnel abducted her in August 2000. They tried to extort a confession from her under torture, causing her much suffering. Then she was unlawfully held in a detention centre. After her release she was constantly harassed. Her terrorised family then cooperated with the authorities to try to make her renounce her belief. Because of the long-term spiritual torment and physical tortures, Hu Yuxia passed away in November 2002. -

From January 2001 until January 2003 I was unjustly detained in forced labour camps and detention centres, experiencing relentless unimaginable mental and physical tortures, because I practised Falun Dafa and told others about the truth of the practice. My wife, also a practitioner, is presently imprisoned in Shenyang City's Dabei Prison. I have not seen my child for nearly four years. He is living with his aunt. We have been forced to be a scattered family." -

Brutally Beaten by Police, Ms. Yang Xinglan Is Now Blind and Critically Ill
2004-12-18Ms. Yang Xinglan, 42 years old, is from a village in Hebei Province. In July 2002, a dozen people from the village broke into her house, arrested her and sent her to a Brainwashing Centre. One night policewoman Wang Jihua came to Yang Xinghua's cell and tried to force her to give up her belief and to defame Dafa. Ms. Yang refused, so Wang Jihua punched her against the opposite wall with one blow. She also punched Ms. Yang in the face and mouth. Now her face and eyes are swollen and bruised. She has become blind in both eyes and is in a critical condition. -
Courage in the Face of Persecution: Remembering Mr. Tang Jian, Who Was Tortured to Death at the Shuangkou Forced Labour Camp in Tianjin City
2004-12-18"The Fifth Brigade at the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp is known as the "Demon's Brigade." In the summer of 2001, daytime temperatures often reached as high as 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit). Practitioner Tang Jian was transferred to the Fifth Brigade and refused to "reform" [renounce Falun Dafa]. Tang Jian said to the guards, "We are law-abiding citizens, we need no reform." Several police officers dragged Mr. Tang away. When we heard the sound of him being repeatedly shocked with many electric batons, it pained our hearts. " -
Falun Gong Practitioner Zhang Shouguang from Jilin Province Died in 2001 as a Result of Persecution
2004-12-1863 Year Old Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Zhang Shouguang from Jilin Province was persecuted for going to Beijing to peacefully appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. After that, he was hounded by the police for a long time. The illnesses that he suffered from before he practised Falun Gong recurred due to the interminable pressure. Mr. Zhang Shouguang died on December 24, 2001. -
Atrocities at Baimalong Women's Forced Labour Camp
2004-12-18Since April 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners illegally detained at Baimalong Women's Forced Labour Camp in Hunan Province, have again suffered brutal persecution. Some were shocked with electric batons and others were injected with drugs that damage the nervous system. Some were hit and beaten as well as kicked, while others were forced to squat on their heels for six days to cause the collapse of the intestines. Some practitioners were forced to stand still on top of a tiny stool for six days nonstop, even when eating. -
Zhang Shousheng: Tortured for Wanting to Be a Good Person and Speaking the Truth

"At the end of October 1999, I went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Dafa. When I attempted to practise the Falun Gong exercises outside of the People's Great Hall, I was arrested and sent to the Qianmen Police Station. Because I refused to tell them my name, more than ten police officers tortured me using the "backing up an airplane" torture. It lasted from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m." -
63 Year Old Falun Dafa Practitioner Fu Jishun Died after Long Term Persecution
2004-12-17Mr. Fu Jishun, 63, was a retired worker from Shanxi Province. In December 2002 he went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. After the trip, the police detained him for over six months. On the evening of April 24, 2004, police broke into Mr. Fu's house to harass him again. When Mr. Fu's family member returned home the next day, they found him unconscious. On the morning of April 25, 2004, Mr. Fu passed away.
