  • Dresden: 'Perfection of the highest calibre!'

    Shen Yun Performing Arts performed before a sold-out house on April 14 at the Kulturpalast Dresden. The artists were enthusiastically praised by the audience with long applause throughout the performances, three curtain calls and a standing ovation before the last curtain fell. Andre Flaemig and Cornelia Franke bought tickets three months in advance.
  • Vienna's Largest Venue Welcomes Shen Yun

    The Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company was greeted with thunderous applause and loud calls of 'Bravo!' as they staged two shows at Wiener Stadthalle, in Vienna, Austria, on April 17, 2010. Mr. Joerg Augustin, a business data processing specialist, attended the show with his friend, Sabine Bergner. Both said that they were deeply touched by the dance set, Nothing Can Block the Divine Path, which depicts the senseless persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in contemporary China.

    Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage at the Janacek Theatre in Brno, Czech Republic and was highly praised by an appreciative audience, who honoured the artists with five curtain calls and a long standing ovation. Petr Mrkyvka, Honorary Consul of Poland in Brno, attended the premiere on April 19.
  • Dresden Professor: "I can only take off my hat and bow to the artists"

    Cathrin Limmer and Harald Richter said they clapped so hard that their hands hurt. The two restore old paintings, which helps them appreciate Shen Yun's hope of breathing new life into traditional Chinese culture and bringing it back in all its glory. "All-in-all, the dancers were fantastic. The movements were very demanding," Ms. Limmer said. Mr. Richter agreed and added, "I thought that the culture is wonderful as well as perfect."

    The Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company was warmly and enthusiastically received in Linköping, Sweden on April 8, 2010. Although Conservative MP Mrs. Yvonne Andersson had been to China on a couple of occasions, she had never experienced anything like the traditional Chinese culture that Shen Yun presented in the show.

    The New York-based Shen Yun Touring Company brought their unique blend of Chinese classical dance to Germany's Dresden Kulturpalast for a second year on April 14. The opening show was filled to capacity, with an enthusiastic audience honouring the artists with thunderous applause throughout the performances and three curtain calls.
  • Oslo Manager Appreciates the "Depth" of Shen Yun

    Giving the show a long standing ovation and drawing five curtain calls, the audience at the Sunday, April 10 afternoon Shen Yun show thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Mr. Espen Lyngra, a consultant manager at Oracle, said, "I like the mix of, I like all the colours, the really strong colours, ... giving a very good impression."
  • Swedish Art Purveyors Awestruck by Shen Yun

    On April 5, 2010, a full house gathered to witness Shen Yun perform in Stockholm. Swedish Opera singer Mira Pyne, a young and celebrated soprano, attended Shen Yun's sold-out performance. "It was fantastically good!" said Ms. Pyne. "The choreography and performance are genius, which must be the result of very hard work," added her husband.
  • Russia: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in the Children's Sport Kingdom Fair

    Falun Gong practitioners participated at the 22nd Children's Sport Kingdom Fair in Moscow on March 27-30, 2010. They demonstrated the exercises, passed out flyers, and taught children how to make paper lotus flowers. The organizers issued two certificates to practitioners for their contributions to the fair.
  • Danish Dance Choreographer: Shen Yun is "A High, High Quality Performance!"

    Peter Stokkebroe, a prize winning Danish professional ballroom dancer and choreographer, was thrilled and delighted with the Shen Yun show. He really appreciated the opportunity to learn more about Chinese culture through watching the show. "It has been amazing to have a better insight into Chinese culture through this wonderful show," he said.

    Judging from the reactions of the audience, the performance succeeded in bringing different heights of enjoyment to an expectant audience. The show generated gasps of amazement from the audience that marvelled at the advanced dance movements of classical Chinese dance, in between numerous rounds of applause.
  • Ireland: Protest at the Chinese Embassy in Dublin

    On Saturday 27th March, Falun Gong practitioners from Ireland were joined by practitioners from UK to peacefully protest outside the Chinese Embassy in Dublin. A poster board informed passers by about the human rights abuses that are inflicted on Falun Gong practitioners in China by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
  • France: Rally to Support Seventy Million People Quitting the Chinese Communist Party

    On March 28, 2010, the French Global Service Centre for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) held a rally at Human Rights Square (Esplanade des Droits de l'Homme) at Palais de Chaillot in Paris. The rally called on people from around the world to support the seventy million brave Chinese people who have chosen to quit the CCP and its affiliated organisations.

    Shen Yun Performing Arts delighted the Danish audience in Aarhus, on their premiere 2010 show in Scandinavia, on Friday evening, April 2, 2010, at The Concert Hall Aarhus. The audience enthusiastically welcomed the return of the highly acclaimed New York-based company with a standing ovation.

    Senator Norris said he found a positive message in the show, in particular, "about spiritual values and against the sort of complete materialism that affects not just communist China and atheist regimes like that, but fully materialistic regimes like we have here in Europe. All we think about is money... maybe we will find a few spiritual values again."
